A Warm and friendly welcome from Rachel on our arrival. Offering complimentary tea/coffee and homemade cake was a lovely touch and most welcome after a long journey, as were the delicious homemade biscuits replenished in our room daily. Both Rachel and Robert were attentive and hospitable hosts. The breakfast menu and facilities were excellent!..All served with delicious homemade bread. The accommodation was first class and excellent value. We look forward to returning and have already recommended to friends!

Nothing everything was spot on!

We had a fantastic time during our stay at Westbury Cross House! Rachel and Robert were friendly, communicative and welcoming. The room was clean and beautifully decorated, with a large comfortable bed. The bed linens, duvet and pillows in particular were high quality, which I really appreciated as this sometimes isn't the case in hotels and B&Bs. The bathroom was lovely and featured a rainfall shower and heated towel rail. There were home made cookies and tea making facilities in the room, and every day we were offered a thermos of milk so that we would have it to make tea with in the morning, which was a thoughtful touch. The breakfast was truly delicious - the food was cooked and prepared with real attention to detail and with as much care you would put into making breakfast for yourself and your family. Robert was also able to recommend some great hikes around the area! The location was very convenient for Glastonbury and Cheddar Gorge, while also being quiet and peaceful. Overall 10/10, highly recommend!

Rachel and Robert were very friendly ,welcoming and helpful. On arrival we were offered a lovely hot pot of tea and superb sponge cake which was most welcome, also enjoyed again on the 2nd day too. We stayed in the Garden room , it was lovely ,clean and nicely furnished , the room had all we needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast menu offered a very good choice, we had a fresh and tasty breakfast each morning, so good to have fresh homemade bread. The location was great for going into Wells, Glastonbury and Cheddar Gorge. We would highly recommend staying here and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

What a little gem Westbury Cross House is! We were greeted by Rachel on arrival, with tea and homemade cake in the garden. Our room ( Bramley ) was beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable. Homemade cookie's in the room too, a lovely touch. Breakfast was ordered the night before which wasn't a problem for us. It was presented well and of good quality. We only stayed one night while visiting Cheddar gorge and Wookey Hole. We would definitely recommend Westbury Cross House 100%

We would have given it 10 rating apart from 2 very small things. TV is Ruku ; being of the older generation this was tricky for us as we don't often use a streaming device. The bathroom window of our en suite although not overlooked we felt could have had privacy glass.

We had an amazing time here. A beautiful property with perfect hosts. Picturesque location, spacious/private room (Barn) great for family of four, tasteful decor, immaculately clean, high quality soaps/creams, and personal touches like home made cookies. Rachel and Robert were wonderful hosts, preparing a delicious and impressive breakfast range, cake/coffee when we returned from our day out, and giving us helpful local tips like a family friendly place to eat. Our stay felt extra special, relaxing and the children were made to feel welcome. Thank you!

Nothing!

This property is Superb! We could not fault a thing. From the welcoming hosts who offered tea and home made cake in the garden on arrival, to the comfortable and stylish room. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room accompanied by a jar of home made biscuits. The breakfast was extensive and varied. Freshly squeezed juice and home made bread was the icing on the cake. The hosts are delightful and couldn’t have been more helpful. We count ourselves very lucky to have discovered this little gem in the beautiful Somerset countryside. Quiet, peaceful but within a few miles of Wells and a pub serving meals right next door.

Absolutely nothing! Everything was fabulous.

Very romantic setting, filled with greenery, birdsong and flowers. Beautifully furnished house and rooms. Perfect for a couple's getaway! Lovely hosts who gave us great advice for the local area.

Bring eye masks if you are sensitive to light when you sleep. The furnishings are gorgeous, light and airy, but the lightness and airiness mean that a lot of light will come in in the mornings. Really should not stop you choosing this place, just something to remember to pack if you do get woken up by light.

Breakfast was wonderful choice of cereals, fresh fruit, selection of yogurt, all neatly laid out. An extensive choice of hot breakfast dishes (we had a full English with exactly what we wanted (we requested unsmoked bacon), home made bread brown and white made each day by Rachel (wonderful!), all served with a choice of tea (served in a pot) or freshly ground coffee (served in a Cafetiere of a good size). The table was laid very nicely with juices, water, milk, all in glass flasks with caps on along with the usual condiments and a good size piece of butter on a serving dish with a proper butter knife (no little prepacked butter pats). There was a toaster for our use. The whole dining area was spotlessly clean bright and airy. Have to say after such a good breakfast we were set up for the day and did not need any lunch. Richard served the meal and was on hand to help with directions. Our room and bathroom was very clean plenty of hand wash, shampoo, etc. Bath towel, hand towel and face cloth supplied, beds and pillows very comfortable, chairs to sit on. TV on the wall which was on a movable bracket. A wardrobe and of course carafe of fresh water fresh milk a selection of drinks and sugars and a sealed jar with home made cookies. Everything was spotlessly clean. All information in a folder on the windowsill. Many thanks to Rachel and Richard such lovely people. Would definitely stay with them again sometime. Telling our friends all about everything.

NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL

We liked everything about this place! Lovely staff who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. They even made us a cup of tea and cake to sit in their lovely garden after our long day out. The room was tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean. Smelled gorgeous when we arrived. Very comfy beds and pillows with nice quality bedding. Really appreciated the fan, kept us cool at night and we slept very well. Yummy homemade biscuits and bread! The breakfast was lovely, lots of choice. Great location and walking distance to a great pub serving nice evening meals.

Liked everything.

We stayed in the family room of the Westbury Cross House Bed & Breakfast for four nights. Such a lovely place! Our kids loved the two futon beds in the attic of the room (an remodeled old barn), very cosy. The hosts, Rachel and Robert, are very kind and always helpful. The breakfast is selfmade, freshly according to everyone wishes, very delicious. There is enough parking space on the premisses. The room has properly working WLAN. It was all good and thanks for the daily dose of selfmade cookies! 😊
