The only thing that we struggled with was the stuffyness in the bedroom (granted it was the hottest days of the year). We had a fan provided which was a lifesaver but the room was so stuffy we struggled to sleep. The window was just above the food kitchen so it was blowing in the cooking smell. The window didn’t give much relief at night either probably because it was at the side of the building so not much airflow!

Fantastic and very much needed break. The Gresham was exactly what I was looking for. The room was spacious, it had an ensuite, and the bed was comfortable. Louise is a lovely host who made sure I was looked after and was also happy to accommodate a slightly delayed check in and check out! Breakfast choice is great, with hot and cold options, as well as a fab selection of teas, coffees, cereals, yogurts, and pastries. Perfect location, right on the seafront, a 2 mins walk from the station, and less than 5 right into the main centre of Weymouth. Would happily recommend and stay again. Thanks Louise!

Friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Had a good conversation with another guest and host Louise during breakfast about some to the books in the guest house - quite a number of books on Jack Kerouac the American Beat Poets, I was quite impressed by this, along with the framed sea scape /abstract images which didn't look out of place in this well kept Georgian Town House. My room had a sea view with the beach just across the road. The guest house was a short distance from the rail station , buses, shops and places to eat. Louise was very knowledgable about the area.

There was a slight issue with the shower- as I had some difficulty using the hot /cold setting which just needed a bit of readjustment and was quickly sorted. As it is on the sea front there is a bit of traffic passing but there are no disturbances of revellers as the guest house is away from the bars .

An exceptional little gem of a find on the seafront. Tastefully decorated, clean, smart, comfortable. Breakfast was optional but delicious and a great choice which you could order easily the night before. Friendly and very attentive hosts. Couldn’t do more for you. Comfortable beds, hot water. Close to town and harbour. Beach right out front. Great for catching the sunrise. Small things like bottle of milk in the fridge, tea/coffee/biscuits in the room, bottled water, toiletries nice extra touches. Highly recommend if you are planning a trip to Weymouth.

Excellent location, right on the sea front with easy access to all fo the local cafes/bars/restaurants. Within walking distance of the Sea Life centre. The owners were fantastic, we stayed for the half Ironaman weekend and they offered to store my partners bike in secure storage and left out porridge pots for all of the athletes on the morning of the event. Rooms were immaculate and the added extras like coffee and squash sachets, toiletries were a lovely touch. Owners were always on hand to help with bags and really made this a special place to stay. Loved it, we'll be back!

Everything about our overnight stay was brilliant. The house is on the beautiful Georgian Esplanade on the sea front. The room was clean & comfortable, and breakfast was superb: everything was freshly made and very good quality - lovely muesli and local fresh yoghurt, followed by an excellently cooked full english. And the view from the dining room is straight out onto the sea! Which, on a wet and windy December day, was very stormy - great to watch while in the warm drinking good coffee and fresh toast! One of the best places that we have stayed at during our travels along the English South Coast and Cornwall. Brilliant host, very caring and helpful with any possible enquiry. Modern, spacious family room with comfortable beds, plenty of hooks to hang clothes or towels and fridge. Right in the middle of Weymouth opposite the beach. :) Perfect breakfast. :) :)

Nothing, really. However, there are lots of stairs if you stay in the top rooms. ;)

I visited Weymouth for a Tango Festival. I was looking for a place within walking distance of the Pavilion with a sea view. Gresham guest house was a great choice. I choose a room on the fourth floor with a fantastic view. Louise was welcoming and helpful. I even had an earlier check-in to suit my festival programme. I enjoyed my sleep after Saturday and Sunday dances. I appreciated the clean, safe environment essential for a solo female. I'm sure I will visit again.

I really loved staying at Gresham Guest House on the Esplanade in Weymouth. Great location, easy to walk to everything, near great places to eat, the shops, cinema, buses, the Jurassic Coaster bus, the railway and more. I was booked in for two days, then moved to another place to stay further along the Jurassic Coast, but booked in for another day on my way back as I'd enjoyed it so much. My room had a fabulous seafront view and was perfect for my stay! Weymouth also has a very interesting, long and fascinating history - some of which I knew, some of which I didnt - so it was really good to learn about all that too and Louise, who runs the guest house, knew heaps about the history as well. I got to see some of the old historic quarter, but will be back to see it properly on my next trip. Really great stay in a lovely period guest house!

The location was superb for our needs, with an excellent choice of Italian restaurants and cafe bar close by, and the Royal Hotel (location of the event we were attending), just down the road. Parking permit was provided, and the car park was only 5 minutes walk away. The facilities were excellent, with a very large bedroom and the breakfast was cooked to perfection. The host could not do any more for us and we will definitely be returning!!
