Great hosts of this lovely B&B in South Lakes. Everything was thought about down to the smallest details and you can tell the owners are genuine and love interacting with people. You can order breakfast in your room or come down to the dining room, or even order a takeaway breakfast! It was delicious and we were spoilt for choice. The location is perfect for hiking and visiting towns around the Lakes.

Nothing to complain about - maybe a little hard to find the entrance gate at first but having said that, we arrived in the middle of the night.

First class breakfast. Only 3 bedrooms, so all guests sit on same table for 6, which is a great way of starting the morning, chatting about the day ahead and making plans! Breakfasts are all cooked fresh to order, and include a wide range of cold and hot food. Cumbrian breakfast with sausages, fantastic bacon, potato cake, etc, are great. But there's also smoked mackerel, butties, and veggie options. Owners, JoAnne & Gerry, are so friendly and cannot do enough for you. They are brilliant hosts, unobtrusive but there for a great chat over breakfast! Love the fact that you can check in online ahead of stay, and come & go as you please using secure door combination & key fob. Decor of rooms, all Laura Ashley and Farrow & Ball, are wonderful, as are the Lakeland toiletries. I had to buy some from the local shop as they are so good! (Love the Lakes collection)

Showr was a little small for me, but I soon got used to it!

Choice of breakfast vast.All freshly cooked by Jo-Anne,who was a charming host.The location was perfect for getting around the lakes.10 mins from Windermere and again for Ambleside.The A591 is conveniently on your doorstep,so great getting A to B.There is a great pub,the Watermill just a 5 min walk which serves great food and on site brewed beer.Perfect!

I’m struggling to find what could have been better.

What a wonderful stay at The Hill B&B. Jo and Gerry were the perfect hosts! Breakfast was delicious and the rooms/house is absolutely gorgeous, clean, and very well kept. We arrived late on our first day and they even waited up for us. The little things really made our stay that extra bit special like tea facilities and homemade cookies in the room, lovely soaps/shampoos, etc. The garden is very beautiful! :) :)

Nothing, everything was great! Just be aware the B&B can be a little hard to find at first since it's off the main road, but just keep your eyes peeled for the signs as you enter Ings Village and you shouldn't have any issues. Jo and Gerry's directions are very helpful too.

Everything was superb. Jo-Ann and Gerry were so kind and helpful. We feeled just like at home. We had a nice and interesting talk with Gerry and Jo-Ann prepared delecious English breakfasts. This was the best B&B we ever had. If we come back to the beautiful Lake District, we certainly will choose this B&B. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

We loved everything, excellent hosts couldn't do enough for us when needed,but also let us be to enjoy our break also ,property is in a beautiful setting with plenty of seating area in the gardens to sit and relax home from home ,excellent selection for breakfast ,from lovely cooked English breakfast, to cereals and fruit , and will definitely rtn in the near future .

Really lovely hosts. Breakfast was great, well cooked, loads of choice. Location was good to access other areas of the Lake District with a lovely village pub across the road. Jo-Anne and Gerry are both very welcoming, chatty and friendly and make you feel totally at home.

Nothing at all to dislike. It was perfect.

Gerry and Joanne we're the perfekt Hosts. Very friendly and always helpful. A fantastic House with beautiful gardens and Location. Breakfast was exceptional and personally served. Made us feel at Home. A very clean and tidy Hotel. We will certainly Return at some Point in the near future and look Forward to seeing Gerry an Joanne again. Highly recomendable.

The owners were very friendly and obliging. Ready to answer our questions. Very informative about the area. Breakfast was delicious and plenty to choose from. Our room Decor was so pretty beds very comfortable overlooking the beautiful garden. Location was great on bus routes to Keswick, Windermere, Ambleside and lots of the main tourist spots. Parking was difficult at times with a car but catching buses made it easy. Running every 20 minutes.

Was a little out of the way. Hadn't realised it was 2 miles from windermere but a short bus journey so no problem.
