Breakfast was good. Tasty food. Drinks prices in the bar were good. Live band v2 were excellent. Room was clean and tidy. Bed was very very comfortable.

Had to park my car behind some shops. Sound proofing between rooms is poor-I could hear lads in next room clearly urinating! TV screen a little small.

Really helpful and friendly staff. Room was clean and comfy, although decor / bathroom are a little dated. Great value for money especially as breakfast is included (which was really tasty).

It was quite stuffy in the room, and you have to pay £5 extra for a fan due to energy cost increases (understandable). You can open the windows wide, but due to location there is a quite noisy extractor fan from the adjacent Indian takeaway. On Saturday nights there is live music in the pub - this wasn't a problem for me as I enjoyed it, but if you were looking to go to bed earlier than 11pm you might get noise in your room

This was great value for money. Everything was basic but clean. Breakfast was included. Great for a budget place to stay.

If you have mobility issues, this is not the place for you. There is no lift, and all rooms are upstairs. By accident, we ended up in room 49, which is about as far away as you can get. This was in no way the hotels fault. I did not say I had any special need. Just an observation. The shower is a bit dated. Bath mixer taps fed it, I ran the hot, which was luke warm. After a 5 minute shower, the hot was just coming through. The room was stifling hot, and the window only opened a little bit.

Clean comfortable spacious verry friendly helpfull staff. Would fully recommend the hotel.

Shower tap jammed and not functional. Ended up having a bath. No handles or safety rails available to aid excavation. It took great effort and a bruised bum to exit. Management were very responsive, the shower was functional next day, however having soaped up, shower again failed. A kettle was employed. Management have been advised to institute safety rails, it's a situation which will reoccur. A less able person will not be able to exit the bath. The shower mechanism is easily rectifiable Make a good comedy sketch

The heating in the bedroom was excellent and everything in the room and bathroom worked. We liked the view from the bedroom window showing a tree with a. birds nest and fairy lights at night.

The dining facility for breakfast was actually in the public bar as this was the only public room. The room had been used on the previous night but the floor had not been cleaned before breakfast as the cleaning staff started after breakfast time. Limited breakfast and the full English breakfast sometimes included two rashers of bacon, but occasionally only one rasher was given. Nights with entertainment were very popular but noisy until very late.

Everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations. We were greeted with such a friendly helpful check in. 24 hour car parking for £2 in a spacious car park across the round was so convenient and cheap!! The hotel was comfy, clean and had all the facilities we needed. It’s not the most modern hotel - but that’s okay - the staff can’t do enough for you and the bar attached to the hotel is welcoming and has a lovely atmosphere. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve experienced at a hotel. We were staying in the area for the Soultasia festival in Maldon and I couldn’t be happier with the hotel we chose. An amazing place with an incredible value for money.

NOTHING! :)

My wife and I stayed at this family-run hotel for two nights (Friday and Saturday nights). We enjoyed a very generous and tasty breakfast. All the staff we met, on Reception and in the Restaurant, were very friendly. Despite the fact that the hotel is located in the centre of the town and that music is played in the ground floor bar till midnight on Friday and Saturday nights our room was very quiet. The free Wi-Fi worked very well in our room. The staff provided useful information about nearby, overnight, free parking.

Nothing to not like.

Very friendly and helpful staff on arrival and throughout our stay, rooms were spotless and of good size, if dated. The bar was keenly priced too We were staying for a nearby wedding, and were given taxi numbers in advance to book, by the hotel, which was a great help as the first three numbers didn't work Sundays. Beds were soft and comfortable unlike, it seems, chain hotels seem to have gone onto hard types that give me backache sometimes. Breakfast was fantastic with plenty to choose from and the freshly cooked Full English was done to a T👌.

There is nothing not to like.

The hotel is in the middle of a small housing development, but very close to a large ASDA and several pubs and restaurants. Check in was easy, although the parking just down the road is no longer free so the description in Booking.com needs to be updated. Room was OK - clean, tidy and fine for me for a quick one night stop over between meetings.

On arrival I found that the "free parking" mentioned on booking.com was no longer free. It was only £2 for the night, but it was a bit of a pain having to download the parking app and make an online payment.
