Embassy Suites Birmingham

Check-in was easy, as well as check-out. I loved the space. My family was able to visit with me comfortably- we were even able to play cards , since there was a table and chair. My little dog felt comfortable and treated my accommodations as "home"

I wish I could have known about the Ruth Cris' Restaurant bar. I'm a senior citizen-( 84 ) and I needed a libation after traveling in holiday traffic from Atlanta! The lovely lady who checked me in could not possibly known that I needed that information!!

Room was very clean! Bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was good with a great variety of choices! We were able to have our dogs for a $75 non refundable fee.

All common areas, lobby, moldings doors ect very run down and in need of repair and renewal or remodel. Tables and floor in restaurant breakfast area sticky and dirty. Minimal staff

Front desk was quick to find us another room. Needed additional towels. Timothy from housekeeping brought towels. Saw our problem with lock. Tried himself and stayed there until maintenance showed. Made several calls to see where they were. Excellent employee.

Couldn't get back in the room. Waited 30 min. + for maintenance to get there. Had to drill the lock to get door open. Had to move to another room. This evidently is an on going problem. Also rm 403 coffee maker no cleaned and ready for our occupancy. Looked as though housekeeping didn't finish their job.

The room was ver spacious and allowed for a lot of space to relax after being in a car all day and traveling many more miles the next day. The center of the hotel has a really beautiful atrium including some super vibrant coy fish!

I didn’t try the breakfast but my husband said it was terrible. The only negatives which were hardly worth mentioning is the hotel is obviously dated and could use a good renovation. Secondly, the restaurant is VERY expensive, and the service was quite slow. It is a Ruth Chris so price is expected to be high but I paid $12 for a side of mashed potatoes and it tool over 20 minutes to get them while I was sitting at the bar. (Side note: the were incredibly delicious!)

Staff was absolutely amazing! Everyone was very welcoming, helpful, and a real bright spot in my day.

The room was quite worn and needs some serious TLC. Tub, shower and toilet ran constantly. No USB ports to plug in electronics (not a deal breaker, just would have been nice). No housekeeping services all week. I had to request towels at the front desk.

The room was clean and conformable. The bed was comfy the room was spacious.

Check in was slow as only one person was working at the counter, and the line was forming. The toilet didn't flush very good. We ordered dinner from Ruth's chris on our second night and no silverware was in the to go bag, my husband went down to get some silverware and the restaurant staff gave him a hard time about it. On Saturday breakfast starts at 7:30 and the breakfast wasn't ready on time people were in the lobby area waiting to eat.

The outstanding staff at the counter. Location was good for close access to hospital and hometown feeling just outside of mainstream.

Several items in room in need of repair. All brought to the attention of front desk ladies and maintenance man. They offered to come fix immediately but we asked to wait till check out for our privacy having just had surgery.

Large rooms and ambeonce was very nice...!!! Staff very friendly and helpful...!!!

Nice place...a little expensive for the value...!!! Some lights wouldn't work in my room...!!! Close Parking was limited..!!! Be prepared to walk a long ways from side and back parking lots...!!! Breakfast was OK...could have had a more variety...!!! Good stay with no problems...!!! Please turn on the hallway lights on sooner...!!! It was dark in hallway entering room in the corner back room...!!! Lights need to come on an hour earlier...!!!

the mildew around the bathtub handle , the cleaning crew just walked in my room after 1 knock, and I wasn’t even checking out and was in bed…. scary pleas address this my husband is a licensed carrier, an office and he went into police mode THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED

Great hotel! Staff was so friendly and helpful, room was large and well appointed, breakfast was great. Indoor courtyard and pool. Price was outstanding and great location. If we ever go back to Birmingham- THIS is where we will stay. BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!!

Not much could be improved. Pool was closed for 1 day of our stay, but we hadn't really intended on using the pool this trip. Overall, excellent experience- we were very happy.
