Fairfield Inn Tuscaloosa

By 8:00 am the eggs, sausage, bacon and biscuits were low. There literally were 2 of each left, leaving me to self-ration because I did not want to deprive those coming after me. Recommendation: staff regularly check food items to ensure there’s enough, even for those arriving during the latter part of the window. I, however, loved the clean rooms, quiet property, cute decor, and courteous personnel.

Breakfast items were low: 2 servings of eggs, 2 slices bacon, 2 biscuits, and 2 sausage patties by 8:00 a.m. I chose to eat one serving of egg, one sausage patty, and one biscuit because I did not want to eat the last, not knowing if they would bring out more. Staff should check food supply regularly to guard against this.

Front staff welcomed us with a smile and gave us good options on where to dine that night. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. We did not have breakfast because of time but everything smelled good and dining area looked clean.

Elevator did smell a little like cigarette smoke but I know those are things that sometimes can not be helped.

Clean everything was nice we stay here again.

Everyone was so friendly. The hotel was nice and clean. The beds were comfortable. The management really cares about the customers experience. Even when matters are out of their control, they still let you know that they hear you and they care.

I had one complaint that I was frustrated they didn't have their breakfast available, only grab and go bags because of corona. I was emailed back by the manager and the regional manager, both apologizing and said they do have a plan to open the breakfast back up! It was so nice of them to email me back! I've complained about not getting our breakfast at several hotel chains since corona shut down all the hotel breakfasts. This was the only time anyone emailed me back. What a great place!

The breakfast was delicious, and I was impressed with the food choices. The staff was very friendly.

The water was turned off for four hours to drain the pipes. Guest were instructed to go to the hotel next door to use the bathroom. This was a big inconvenience. I had to go to the front desk to get clean towels.

The free breakfast was scarce. No butter for toast, no eggs, sausage was burnt, not pastry or yogurt. Just cereal and coffee . When I asked the staff about butter she said I guess we don’t have any today. So it was cereal or dry toast! Disappointing!

Lots of variety for breakfast. Oatmeal cereal and biscuits hit the spot. Juices were stocked and cold. Coffee was fresh and hot. I didn’t leave hungry.

The eggs were a bit watery and salty. The oats weren’t instant oats so they were semi cooked. I would’ve loved a pancake or waffle bar. And orange juice is always a good idea for breakfast.

Rooms comfy, beds soft and clean, every surface looked to be cleaned in the room itself. The staff was great when booking.com messed up my Reservation.

The bathroom smelled like smoke. I didnt even shower because it hurt my head so bad. The bathroom also has hair all over the floor and in corners. For a nicer hotel, this wasn't clean as I thought but at the least room itself was clean...

The staff were just very pleasant. Made me feel right at home.

Sausage biscuit breakfast was a little cold still, but easily fixed with the microwave in my room.

Could have more choices

Did not know about $50 per day for fee! Still don’t know why? Not in none of my emails!
