Holiday Inn Club Vacations Scottsdale Resort, an IHG Hotel

The pools all offered a different experience, with waterfalls, splashpad, waterslides, hot tub, and fireplace. We spent time at 3 of the 4 pools during our stay. The rooms were beautifully decorated and furnished, and were very clean and comfortable to return to after a long day of activities.

The convenience store on the property closed very early (3pm?) and the nearest grocery store/pharmacy was 7-10 mins drive away, so it did make it more difficult to obtain last minute items.

Appreciative of the checkin process by security because we were late arriving. Hotel management policy for after hour checkin was notable. Suite was spacious, clean and more than accommodating. Front desk staff so friendly and helpful. Onsite marketplace, restaurant, outdoor grilling stations and 4 pools wonderful. Location, location, location. So many dining and shopping options right around the corner.

big space great kitchen great room service and clean rooms the hotel offered us a discount in attraction tickets if we go to a 90 minutes talk. didn’t go at the end but the discount was more then 60% off. call the hotel before you schedule something they might save you a lot of money

we came to the room and there was a really bad smell, it smelled like a rutted fish. we called the front desk and someone came and put perfume in the room. obviously it didn’t work. we had to slove that by ourself … we went in the of tourist season and still the water slides were loaded ): people in the pool put music with a speaker. it wasn’t nice at all.

Loved the location and multiple pool choices

The fact that I called ahead time, was told all pools are opening til 10pm when truly the pool with waterslides is only open from 10am (which is checkout) to 7pm (check in is 4pm) that only gives 3 hours for kids IF you make it BY checkin time. Anywho that was the whole purpose of our trip ( slides for the kids) didn’t get there til about 530/6pm therefore they only got 1 hr with the slides. Kind of a bummer.

The suite was very large and comfortable overall. The kitchen was equipped with all the essentials (apart from food of course). Everything was clean and in very good condition. The beds and sofa bed were very comfortable. Having access to laundry right in the suite was great since we'd been hiking in the north in muddy conditions. The pools and hot tubs were nice, and my teen enjoyed the ping pong and billiards/pool table.

We were in the basement unit and there was noise from the unit above which woke us up early one morning (definitely something you don't want on vacation!), so the facility should add sound proofing to remedy this issue. The bed pillows could have been more comfortable. Hotels often provide just big fluffy pillows and many of them. I don't know why they don't instead provide a variety of types to better suit the guests (rather than so many all the same). Hotels in the area seemed very pricey when I was booking, and overall I thought this hotel was also too expensive for what it was. There did not seem to be many middle cost hotels around. Maybe that was due to the time of year of my visit (late February).

The staff was amazing, always polite and kind. From pool staff to housekeeping, all were very helpful. I was also able to observe how pool staff handled some over excited Teens that were not following pool guidelines, they were direct with them in a respectful manner. I was impressed..:) I also loved the kitchen accommodations…

People bringing there personal music to pool size, Having to listen to music from different sources was not relaxing, Especially in the serenity pool.

I loved the pool being right outside our door, and the room was very comfortable for all members of our family to stay together. The staff was super friendly as well, and very responsive when we called for things.

There were a few technical difficulties, like the toilet didn't flush very well, and the sink started leaking and we had to call for a repair man. Television could be updated to Smart TVs, and more silverware and dishes to reflect the number of people that would be staying in each room. Also, we tried to request a late check out when we arrived and were told that we needed to wait until closer to the end of our stay. Then when I requested the late check out closer to the end of our trip, they told me no. Our plane did not leave until 5:00pm and we had to be out of the room by 10:00am.

Very large villa. Well appointed. Plenty of room. About 1400 sq ft. 4 adults used this space. Very safe location with food nearby.

Resort will try and cajole you into attending a time share presentation. We were there for medical appointments at nearby Mayo hospital. Not interested in attending the sales pitch. They tried twice even after we declined.

We stayed in a signature 2 bedroom villa which was beautifully furnished. All appliances and utensils were at hand. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Floors in villa were dirty and in desperate need of a steam clean. They didn’t look dirty but the bottom of our feet told us otherwise. Pool sun beds were uncomfortable and had seen better days. There were not enough sunshade/umbrellas. Restaurant/Bar is closed on Monday and Tuesday.

what a gem! We had a meeting at the Fairmont princess, and this was the closest hotel. We were pleasantly surprised with the huge two bedroom suite that was very clean lovely pools, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
