We chose this hotel based on the size (a little smaller than the larger chains) and location. We went primarily to relax and golf. The service was top notch everywhere in the hotel. It was very clean, bright and easy to get around. The pool was very comfortable and relaxing. The view of Camelback Mountain was a bonus! Our room faced the mountain and into the courtyard, so not only was it beautiful it was quiet. I personally wouldn't have wanted a room facing the pool. The room was spacious and very clean. I liked having the safe and coffee maker in there to use. The bed was very comfortable. We really enjoyed our breakfast every morning at Hearth 61. There was a lot of variety and everything we had was absolutely delicious. The wait staff were amazing. We had wanted to try breakfast at Rusty's one day but kept being pulled back to the Hearth. If we go again I would try to get a package that included breakfast as it could get a little pricey. However, it was well worth the $$. I enjoy going to the gym most days and I really liked their facility. It had a wide variety of cardio and resistance equipment, including a large room where they offer classes. I didn't take a class, but used the room for my own workout and I also used their spin bikes in there. There were a few weddings & conferences over the course of our week, but it didn't bother us with regards to number of people or noise. Mind we, we were gone golfing most days. We played the Short Course (par 3) at Mountain Shadows and thoroughly enjoyed it. So much so, we played 36 holes there one day. We had rented a car and were able to park it in their lot for free. The golf courses we played were all within 10-20 minutes away. There were also a number of great restaurants within 5-10 minutes. We would definitely consider returning here if we come back to Phoenix.

As indicated in other reviews, the shower is situated right in the room. It has curtains that go around it but it's not something you'd expect to see right there. My biggest concern was running into it on the way to the bathroom at night when it was dark. The ceilings were also interesting as they were just concrete and looked unfinished. Initally I thought we got a room that had been getting some work done on the ceiling. After reading other reviews I see that's the way they designed it. I thought it was strange and not appealing to me. I used the fridge to keep some drinks and snacks we'd purchased but I had to remove what was already in there (for purchase to the resort). It would've been nice to have an empty fridge to use.

The room and hotel were beautiful. We REALLY enjoyed the live music at the bar on weekend evenings- all of the musicians were so talented! Loved the water refill stations, the cocktails at the bar (and Thomas, the bartender) were amazing (we loved the AZ Tea and the Berry Drop). The pool was not overly crowded and the temperature of the water was perfect! The short course was beautiful and well worth the tee time.

Our room wasn't stocked with enough towels or coffee for the number of people we had booked, and when we called to ask for more sometimes there was no answer. I also did not love the shower curtain situation- felt a little like a hospital room with the white curtain. It would definitely have been better if we weren't sharing a room.

Check in staff was nice, but we wanted a room with a view, so Mark and the valet/luggage guy Patrick took excellent care of us, per my request, and put us in a perfect room very quickly for a small upgrade. 👍🏼

I had a reservation for a 10 top at Hearth 61 for family and friends. I gave the manager my credit card ahead of the dinner, so there would be no discussion over the bill at the end of the night. She did not give the card to our server until after the whole table was given separate checks and I was deep in conversation, I didn’t catch it until a few had actually paid. I had to go in and speak to the manager to reverse the charges, so it all was on my card. It’s a nice place, with a lovely menu, so this was the only set back…& an unnecessary mistake. I was embarrassed and had to announce to my guests that they needed to leave their checks alone and I had it. I still tipped our server an extra $100, but that was a rookie mistake for such a nice dining experience…at the end.

Stunning. Love they kept the mid century vibe but modernized it. Luxury amenities and stunning rooms. Very comfy. Love the pool side drinks//food service. Hearth restaurant was delicious. Food and drinks were both so food. Staff at each area were great. Views are to die for!! This place is a gem and worth the price.

Free valet but they were never present. We just parked our own car which was fine. A bit confusing at first though. Also no water in the room. I found the CE dining area with ice machine and a filtered water machine. But was very confused as to what I was to out the water in? Maybe was just me but it wasn’t too intuitive. Asked the front desk how to get some water and he supplied us with a few bottles which was great. Said to come down or call when we wanted more. Seems like there could be a better way.

Very attentive staff. Good food options. Accomadating of needs/requests.

If relying on public transportation, a bit inconvenient.

I’m a clean freak and bring my Lysol wipes when I stay in hotels. I was pleasantly surprised to see when I wiped, there was NOTHING to wipe! The room was spotlessly clean. How refreshing! I felt super comfortable and safe knowing germs had been properly vanquished! Glass shower was spotless!

All the extra occupancy/resort taxes and nonsense charges like that! Weren’t the rooms expensive enough!?

The staff. The location. Comfort of the room. Ease of obtaining anything we needed.

My husband got sick to his stomach after eating in Hearth ‘61. Jacuzzi closed.

This place was amazing from the staff greetings at the beginning to the view just over all a 10. Me and my husband traveled from Portland to celebrated my birthday and we were so impressed, this place is not big but very cozy . We also went to the restaurant for breakfast and dinner and the food was very yummy.

I loved everything

High ceilings and the glass shower a must! Bed was super comfy as well!

Concrete floors made it seem cheap and golf course was closed, one of the main reasons I chose this hotel.

Mountain views were beautiful from our balcony overlooking the pool. Rooms were laid out well and comfortable. Staff was accommodating and helpful at every turn. Loved the stay.

Housekeeping was lacking in that we were told upon check-in that rooms were not cleaned daily and we could request trash removal, new towels daily, but that didn’t happen until the third request, which was rather disconcerting. Need improvement there.
