Courtyard by Marriott Bakersfield

Very comfortable stay in a central and easy to access location. The king bed room was roomy and cozy, with a nice couch and ottoman for relaxing. The room had a balcony too. The decor throughout the hotel was tasteful and inviting, particularly the carpeting choices which were noticeably pleasant. The lobby which included a cafe and sitting area was very nice, and the food at the cafe was really good with many healthy and practical options for guests opting to eat there or take it to go. All in all, a great stay and a great value!

The Hotel looks and feels brand new. I stayed in the King Suite with a separate bedroom. There are 2 massive televisions in the Suite. There is also a sofa that turns into a bed if you need it. The place was very nice and it's close to the Hungry Hunter, which is a very nice restaurant with great steaks.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like. I liked the Courtyard by Marriott so much I came back a week later for another stay.

pool and gym access. the gym was a little under stocked but in great shape and perfect for my morning exercise. the pool is great fun

dirty diaper under my bed!!!! upon checking out of the hotel I looked under both beds to make sure I hadn't left anything behind when I discovered all the trash house keeping had left from prior tenants. bags of chips and a dirty diaper. yes, I said a dirty diaper!! under my bed!!! see attached photos.

My husband and I were in Bakersfield to attend a wedding. Other family members were also staying at the Marriott. The room was spacious and comfortable. We were on the ground floor and had a large lanai which look out on the courtyard. We didn't eat at the bistro but the menu looked good. There are a few places to eat in the area plus a Costco across the street which we utilized for gasoline and wine. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Parking was free.

The pillows were uncomfortably flat. Also, the television was set to the right side of the bed instead of the foot ... which was weird. Minor annoyances.

First, the woman at the front desk was wonderdul! We needed an early checkin due to the events of the day we were there for and she made it happen. The room was spacious, very clean and modern, not old at all. The bathroom areas seemed pretty new and very clean. NIce shower - strong and hot. The bed sheets were crisp and the bed was very comfy. I would've used the nice pool and outside area if it wasnt so cold during our stay. We pre-bought the breakfast, which gave us several choices, and it was delicious. We would go back to this Courtyard

Maybe because of the pandemic there was no body lotion or shower cap. I would have like those.

Everything was great. The only negative thing that was the company literature begging for tips for the maid. If you have to beg for tips for the staff, perhaps the CEO and the Board of Directors can take a pay cut to help their staff out instead of fleecing us for more alms. Great breakfast and nice staff.

After driving for 8 hours from Sacramento, I was welcomed by the young woman at the front desk. She was happy, friendly and made a great effort to make be feel welcome. I went to the bar to order a drink, and asked about food. There wasn’t a big selection, but I chose the roasted Brussels sprouts, which exceeded my expectations by a mile. My room was comfortable and perfect. In the morning, I had a breakfast sandwich and a latte that were very well made. I felt safe at the location (and for the safety of my new Mazda Miata that I was taking on its first road trip).

It rained, but only enough to turn the dust on my car to mud. Luckily, I had thought ahead and had several towels to wipe it off. Like I said, it was my new sports car!

The room was really clean and had nice smell. i loved the fresh and so crisp bed linens. We have stayed the hotel three times as it's always better quality than the price. The night front staff who checked us in was super nice and kind and helful. Breakfast was good too.

This hotel seems very new and is spotlessly clean. The room was big and comfortable with a patio leading into the pool area. The staff are all cheerful and helpful.

Breakfast is all paper plates, paper cups and plastic knives and forks. Seems very wasteful?

Beautiful room, and the check in agent was so kind and friendly.

Lots and lots of cockroaches outside, like an annoying amount-nobody’s fault obviously. We were originally triple charged for the one night at the property and are still waiting to be reimbursed.
