The grounds are clean. There's a fridge & microwave. Ability to bring animals. Pool/hottub open late. HEATED POOL! In room gas fireplace

No AC. No screen on window so bugs could come in if window is cracked open. Ants were in the bathroom area, but it's summer.

The staff was super helpful, particularly Bailey and it was nice waking up and drinking coffee on our own patio.

The T.V. was hard to figure out, as well as the door. It took some time to maneuver the door each time we open the door and the heater although did the job was so loud it kept us up most of the night.

Great location. The Village and the lake were both within walking distance. I also loved having my own little balcony. The pool looked lovely, even though I didn’t use it. The coffee available and the reception area was excellent, and I loved having the ice machine so nearby my room. Room, it’s obviously enormous, with a lovely fireplace.

Crossing the very busy highway to get to the lake side. The old furnishings had their pros and cons. I loved the big desk in the room, which allowed me to do watercolour painting. On the negative side, the old thick rug was clean, but probably full of dust because I did a lot of sneezing when I came back in every evening.

We stayed in a spa room, the tub was amazing and huge. The bed was super comfortable, I slept 12 hours straight. The little patio was adorable! There is a little kitchen area with its own sink so we didn't have to warsh our dishes in the bathroom. But the best part is we decided to extend our stay, and we switched to a smaller room without the spa tub. But to make things easier for us, they upgraded our room back to the one we were in for free so we didn't have to switch rooms! 10/10 the best hotel I've stayed at in Big Bear so far!!!

The traffic on the road but that isn't the hotels fault. They can't help that and it's not really that bad, especially at night.

I loved the stay, we got snowed in, and lost power from around 4:30pm until around 1:30 the next day causing us to go without hot water the whole time (their boiler that heated the water in my building had an electric starter). NONE of this was their fault seeing how EVERYONE lost power, including all the street lights. Amazing place, can't wait to stay here again

Our door to our balcony had about an inch gap at the bottom, so I had to put a towel rolled up under it to keep the cold out

Price, location, room. Any other hotel costs x1.5 price. Very nice rooms, cozy, pleasant bed, fireplace is a wonderful attraction ($15 wood in the lobby, $7-15 in Vons, or grab from forest). Silent (our room not near the road, there are a lot of houses at the hotel territory). Beautiful old-style lobby, piano is there. Fast check-in and check-out. Thank you! 😁 P.s. Best hiking trails are on the other side of the lake. It would be southern side of the mountains. Choose Cougar Crest Trail for, example.

A little old and worn in some things, but it's not a problem at all, just a notice.

The best things were the giant jacuzzi tub in the room (bring mr. bubbles for a bubble bath) and i liked having a fridge and i like it being so close to the ski lifts, the staff was helpful and friendly. breakfast was minimal. the lobby is super nice. the feeling of the whole place is a classic german village i really liked that. i didnt use the pool or public spa.

our room was right by the road but honestly it was quiet, there was plenty of parking, no complaints i would love to return

Great location, cute grounds. I liked the room decor as well. Good water pressure, and the little table and chair on the patio was nice.

It’s a little weird that the doors are glass so you can’t have the main curtains open or everyone sees into the room. I would have liked a small table inside the room by the chair. The only table to sit and eat at was outside and covered in pollen.

The staff was amazing, generous with their time, great with our two kids. We also liked the reception area with coffee and tea. The location is really close to the downtown area. Great value. Great location. Cute rooms and property. It has the feel of cabins with all the trees on the property.

The doors don’t lock or unlock properly or easily. The room was unfortunately not as clean as it could be (We found an old apple core under the bed and the bed sheets had blood stains on it. We only found these at the end of our stay or else we would have said something.)

very quaint and close to the village. staff was very friendly and accommodating. spa tub was huge. I’m 5’9 and could almost lay straight across.

room 50 could use some love. back patio was full of spiderwebs so we didn’t want to sit out there. the plastic was falling off the door. blinds installed crooked and some broken. bed spread stained and questionable to touch. mini fridge was iced over and not usable. bathtub had multiple hairs that looked to be pubic. fireplace didn’t work. overall, I think the cleaning staff could have done a better job.
