Perfect for our 2-night stays near the Redwood States and National Park. The room was perfectly clean - it was carpet but new one. Bed was comfy. I appreciated the table with 2 chairs (often in hotel, you only have one chair haha). There were a microwave and a fridge. No hairdyer in the room but maybe you can ask for one. Shower was good (not for tall people though, but it is pretty common that the showers are too low for you, tall people -- sorry!). Internet worked well. Not on the highway.

nothing really! Someone in the comments spoke about breakfast but I think they wrote their comment about another hotel as there is no breakfast at this one. There are a safeway and grocery outlet very close, so just grab what you need and eat in your room.

It was clean and they had an opt in policy for housekeeping meaning that the only time a housekeeper enters your room is when you ask them to. Also the walls had pretty good sound resistance. Staff(owner?) Was awesome and lowered the room deposit by $20 so that I could afford it.

There was a deposit for the room that was not in the info provided by booking.com. Luckily the staff (possibly the owners?) We're amazing and lowered the price of the deposit by $20 so I could afford it. Coffee machine didn't work but I only drink coffee for the taste so it wasn't too big a deal and I'm sure they would have replaced it if I had asked them but I forgot to tell them about it.

When we arrived all doors and windows were open to fresh air...faint pleasant smell of cleaning products and staff were busy. With covid still about...I believe this motel takes cleaning as a very serious priority. One of the cleanest motels I've ever stayed in...even though it's quite old.

A little noisy from traffic. Had to ask for blow dryer. Stairs a little aged...cement..I was careful to use handrails.

The managers are great. Very attentive to your needs. Cleanliness is definitely a priority. The rooms smell ocean air fresh. It's an old building, things aren't perfect, but they do everything they can to make you comfortable.

The old stairs need an update. The salty coast air has eaten the wrought iron and the cement treads are patched. Safe, but could use a face-lift.

The hostel was very well located and very clean. It has a nice common room area for people to hang out and relax and the breakfast buffet was satisfactory. I'd recommend it for young and flexible travelers

The breakfast buffet was heavily sweet based and it would have been nice to have more savoury options such as some cheeses and nuts. That could also just be a personal preference

Front Street motel is ideally located in Crescent City and offers quiet and comfortable accommodation, at a good price. I was very happy with the room and facilities. The parking was excellent, as was the electric points and WiFi.

Everything was fine. If you would improve anything, it would be provision of a kettle. However, these don't seem to be common in motels in the USA.

The shower had great pressure. The TV had the channel that has Rick and Morty. Very clean as far as I could tell. Door was always locked so I didn't have to worry about if I locked it or not. Housekeeping only comes if you want them to.

While it is a great hotel, I don't think it should cost so much for just 1 night anywhere. But this is a hotel in general problem not just a this hotel problem. That's why I put a low score on value for the price. If it had asked how good the value was compared to other hotels in the area I would have gave it top because it is the least expensive I found in town that had more than a fair rating.

Easy check in. close to waterfront. nice view from the room.

a little worn. it’s hard for a place to feel clean when it’s clearly been in use for so long. I don’t doubt that they clean it regularly, but it probably needs to be updated sooner rather than later. given the prices of other hotels and motels in the city, I think the value here is good and I’d stay here again on a road trip stop through Crescent City, but probably not for a longer stay visiting the city.

Loved the staff! Very friendly, and go above and beyond. I asked to leave a note on the bed saying “Happy Mother’s Day” and the lady had went to the store and got a card instead! The room was also very clean and the hotel was close to a lot of places we could walk to. This place is obviously not a 5 Star Hotel but it’s definitely a bang for your buck! I would recommend this place to anyone.

The owners were super nice and helpful. The room may not have been the latest decor, nor did I expect it to be, but what is most important was that it was very clean. The location is fabulous. My husband and I prefer to park our motorcycle and walk to restaurants and interesting sites. This hotel is perfect for this. We will definitely be back.
