The room was really large and clean. As we pulled into Crescent City, the electricity went out in the whole county due to a fire. Two nights without lights or hot water, there wasn't anything the hotel could do about it. We just laughed at the situation because we were supposed to be in Maui but couldn't because of their fire. What are the chances! We had a good time inspite of the lack of electricity and went about our planned Redwood activities. Of course, after checkout, the electricity came on as we left town. This just made our vacation more of an adventure than we planned. 😅 The front desk clerk was pretty frazzled, poor guy. We did get a nice discount though, which was very nice of them. Yes, I would stay there again.

Yes, the decor is from the 80's, which really didn't bother us. The bed wasn't the best, I have slept on worse. A screen in the window would have been good. Also emergency lights in the stairwells might be a good idea. Small cosmetic updates could make your place absolutely lovely. 🙂

Room was clean and comfortable, good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Lady that worked in the morning and kept the breakfast area clean and supplies was very nice and did a good job. It was very nice to have access to coffee, tea, and hot chocolate at all times (and the hot water to make it there in the breakfast area). Air conditioning worked well as did the card keys. Reservations and check in and check out were all very simple.

One night after brushing my teeth and rinsing the sink, the sink filled with water I assume from another room. It had black flecks in it as if someone had shaved and rinsed their sink. The sink eventually drained leaving the black flecks which was kind of gross. Absolutely no other issues with our stay though.

The Lighhouse Inn is a lovely place, the type of hotel I recommend to people for it's personality and great value. I wish there were more places like this one. There is a classic feel, lots of originality and fun. The rates are very fair and I look forward to returning.

Traditionally my bed is comfortable at the Lighthouse Inn, this particular stay I found the bed rather uncomfortable. Also, the younger guy sitting hidden behind the desk seemed addicted to being on his phone. I found it funny in a cynical sort of way, yet I tend to think many elderly/older customers might not receive it well.

The whole place from the lobby to the rooms was clean. The desk clerk was attentive to what we needed and offered good advice about the area and his help if needed. We would definitely stay here again when traveling thru the area

I noticed only one thing needing attention ( the inside of the bathroom door) . This did not make any difference in our stay, also it was a differently abled persons room and the damage may be from a will chair or shower lift. I thought the bed was a little hard but ok ( all the other we had on our trips we agreed were way too soft) so my grandson liked the bed and said it was the best out of the 6 or 7 other hotels beds we stayed over the last couple weeks. he's from Japan and used to sleeping on a floor cushioned mat and at other places he had to sleep on the floor.

I've not been in a room where the sink area was outside the bathroom and it was extremely long- that actually worked super well because the shelf area was incredibly handy. Plenty of light and the breakfast was plentiful, thanks for the bananas and apples and hot chocolate! Staff super pleasant and helpful.

I wanted a ground floor and got one, but you give up something- so my view was the parking lot. that said, no complaints. It was a perfect base for me to wander the area.

The staff was excellent - very friendly and helpful. The room size astounded us! We didn't expect the extra space. It made it a very comfortable stay. And the location was excellent for our needs; attractions, restaurants, ease to get around.

Our stay went well - better than expected. There is nothing we would change or that we didn't like. We highly recommend this Inn if you are in the area. The Wi-Fi and amenitites were also satisfactory.

The room was adequate. We liked the vintage look which goes well with the exterior appearance of the hotel. Some of the furniture in the room could stand a redo (upholstery was frayed severely in some places). In general though the room was clean and comfortable.

Breakfast was below our expectation. Bagels were the mainstay along with cereal. Since we don't eat cereal for breakfast it would have been better to offer perhaps scrambled eggs or hard cooked eggs. Bacon and yogurt would have been good. There is a homeless camp in the thicket behind the hotel. Garbage from the homeless was strewn in the parking lot area behind the hotel. We parked only in the front of the building overnight to avoid any problems. The hotel cannot control this problem ....but be aware.

The room was easy to access from outside, spacious and absolutely loved that there was a jacuzzi tub. The staff was friendly and the rooms were quiet.

Overall I'm satisfied with my stay but I noticed in the bathroom there was a small chunk of hair on the wall next to the toilet and a few hairs that didn't belong to us in the tub that we cleaned off. We understand there's a time crunch and it's a large and difficult tub to clean. It was a little off putting.

As well as being clean and comfortable, the room was very spacious. There was a good selection of cereal and bagels for breakfast. It was easy to find.

It would be nice to have a shower mat to put in the shower. It's a big step into the tub for seniors and rather slippery. The older people in my group were a bit afraid of falling down. We asked for one for our second night but it did not arrive.

Rooms very spacious - good for doing yoga or morning exercises. All the staff very courteous. Coffee particularly excellent. A fun thing also was the art and the beautiful doll houses and scale models of lighthouses in the lobby.

Elevator was usually crowded and the floor above us was creaky when it’s inhabitants were pacing around at 2am. Not more so than other hotels of the same class though.
