The Secret Garden Inn is a wonderful hidden gem! Not only was our room clean, comfortable, and fragrant (I loved the faint whiffs of incense), but the funky and eclectic environment provided was an absolute delight. Definitely a welcome change from the uniform, stead look of a hotel room. All the staff we interacted with were extremely helpful both in person and over the phone. The young woman who checked us in and escorted us to our room was so warm and hospitable with great energy. The breakfast is delicious! But have your order ready to go (the menu is provided in your room), as the restaurant didn't have a copy readily available when we popped in.

Breakfast choices were above average. The egg croissant was tasty but the spinach omelet was my go to. King-size bed was super comfortable and spa tub with jets was an unexpected surprise. Killer location, walking distance to beach, shopping and dining. The hotel ambiance made me feel like I was in another country, cute Bali-ish decor, orchids everywhere which I LOVED, water fountains and to top it off...a little balcony to enjoy the peak ocean view! The calming sound of waves will nurture your soul and sing you to sleep!

Wifi had a few challenges but overall worked well.

we stayed in the annex building (just a block away) - it was just as the name says..... "Secret Garden" as you enter from a back alley into a beautiful courtyard with fountains and Spanish Talavera tile steps leading up to your room. There is a connecting adorable Peruvian restaurant that sits on Camino Del Mar (serves you delicious commentary breakfast!) We highly recommend staying at the Secret Garden Hotel! We will book again.

Excellent location, walking distance to beach, shopping and dining. Peak ocean view from room and balcony is a plus! Breakfast and service was wonderful as well!

Some noise from the trash pick up off the alley, however, everything else compensated for this inconvenience.

Great breakfast included with room. The manager, Tanna was very helpful. This boutique hotel with only four rooms has a very cozy, quiet and relaxing vibe. Would stay again.

No soap in bathroom.

breakfast was very good. The place is funky and we liked it but as it is not like a standard hotel some people may not care for it. We enjoy unique places. There is a family room above which has the potential for being noisy depending on who is using it. Footsteps etc. can be heard.

it was a little dusty and the shower could use some CLR and elbow grease but it was still clean . i wasn’t aware of what a great deal I got that time , cause oh boy those prices made me choke and then think they must have lost there marbles . i mean yeah it was nice at my price but it wasn’t That nice .

TV remotes were dirty, some items in the room were dusty. However all things that needed to be clean definitely were!

Breakfast from the Peruvian restaurant in the hotel provided a lovely breakfast. The food was amazing.

This is the place for you. walking through the threshold you leave home behind and traverse into a Mediterranean type setting that is simply breathtaking. views overlooking the Pacific Ocean make for romantic nights. definitely a must visit.
