Best Western Amador Inn

The room looked like it had been recently remodeled and was great. Furniture and fixtures were excellent. Breakfast buffet was very good and the staff was very friendly.

We arrived early and after checking in, we were told that the room keys would not be availlable until after 2:30 p.m. and that was fine. We were told that we would have room with direct access to parking which would facilitate getting our baggage into the room. However, when we returned at 4:30 p.m., the desk clerk said there no rooms available with sliding doors and everyone had checked in, so there was no recourse except to accept an inside room with a view of the noisy highway.

breakfast and staff were great, the room was clean, neat, had all the amenities needed, bed was comfy, location central to most everything. Altho directly across from Denny's in the same parking lot, the breakfast provided was eggs, meat, waffles, potatoes, toast, cereal, muffins.... literally no need to go across the lot!

there was a puddle of water atop the landing of stairs when we arrived, it remained for about 24 hours then removed and a "wet" sign placed. also the doors had secure entry capabilities but they were not activated and in fact left open, and several times I saw people laying on hall floors and handing out on the landing.

Great location and a great value. The place was booked solid when we arrived for late check-in, but no problems checking in and the rooms were clean and warm even though it was storming outside. The beds were perfectly firm and without sag and the sheets were perfectly clean. Unfortunately the pass stayed closed so we couldn't get to Kirkwood in the morning, but breakfast was right across the parking lot at Denny's.

We like to stay at this hotel before going to Kirkwood ski resort. 1 hour to Kirkwood, perfect breakfast (waffles (with addons), sausages, juice, muffins, cereals,milk, apple, orange, coffee, tea, hot water). Clean, good wifi in building B (sorry, i didn't check another buildings) We asked to change the room(due to noise above us), no issues, 10 minutes and we are in another room. Denny's in 1minute walk for dinner.

Key for using fireplace was brought by request (two requests: on and off). I understand why. But I would like to give a deposit for this key for preventing additional calls to reception.

Great Location. Price Point was Good. Bed was comfortable, The Breakfast was Beyond Awesome ! The Staff is Really Going Out of their way to make it Right !

The bottom floor has Sliding Glass Doors for Each Room. They don’t seem to be super secure. Doesn’t take much to force open. Shower Curtin Rod needs Love…

This motel is located right on Hwy 49, so very convenient. Plenty of parking. Lovely large room with a fireplace and a most comfy bed. Everything very clean; fluffy towels provided; pleasant colors and decor. The grab and go breakfast was amazing: scrambled eggs, waffles with berries and whipped cream, juice, hot drinks, granola bars, cereal, yogurt -- all prepared by the most cheery crew imaginable. Loved our stay.

There was no elevator, so lugging our suitcases to the second floor was not so pleasant. A bit disappointed that the wonderful gas fireplace was temporarily out of order.

Best breakfast in a motel I've ever had!

Desk staff was not available mid afternoon when I returned to pick up an item left in my room. I had to wait until they returned exactly at 4pm. Vanity light came on in the night whenever I passed on the way to the toilet. I was unable to turn off this annoying feature.

Roomy room, heat in bathroom, shower head above head, bed comfortable, sheets blanket adequate, pillows comfortable. Breakfast very good, lots of choices. Walking distance to downtown restaurants.

Walkways were a little slick in the mornings due to cold weather and condensation--Be careful!

Staff were able to accommodate the request I made at time of booking for a ground level room. When I called the day before my arrival, staff suggested that I call the next day to remind them of my request, and when I did so, I was assured that they had reserved an appropriate room for me.

Appeared to be some staffing challenges--garbage bags piled next to receptacles were not collected during my stay, and my room was not available at check-in time.

The room was clean and bed was super comfy. The Jackson location was convenient to downtown dining and entertainment. There was available parking and although it was super packed during our stay, the room was insulated against sounds from road or other guests. The breakfast was great and I liked that it had longer hours.
