Stevensons Inn

I was so pleased with Stevenson's Inn! The location was perfect. Right in the heart of the Blvd where you could walk a block to the beach, find cafe's and ice cream, shops, and miniature golf! We didn't use our car once during our stay! Neil at the front desk was super helpful at the beginning giving us helpful hints about the city and accommodations. They even allowed us to park our trailer in a convenient spot near the door since it was extra long. The 2 bedroom hotel room was perfect for our little family and everyone had their space. I was super grateful all weekend for the find both for price and location. I will definitely be coming back!

Super nice owner. I loved that he had the fans going to cool our room when we arrived, I much prefer fans to a/c units and in Tahoe it’s cool enough that a fan is perfect. We had everything we needed and I liked the layout of the room, which seemed to possibly have included a kitchen at one point in it’s life! Affordable and the location is excellent for Kings Beach.

I don’t like dark decor in motels/hotels. I think they should be as light as possible and with hard floors, like bamboo or tile. It’s a personal preference, but after road tripping in CA I’m leaving the review/advice for any owners who will listen. White paint, floors that can be cleaned (disinfected) and light colored bedding gives reassurance of cleanliness. Dark carpet is automatically suspicious. This hotel was comfortable but I never felt like it was really clean.

Very comfortable and cozy room. All units are on the first floor and feels almost like an inn or cottage. The heating in the room is great and kept us very warm in the winter. The bathroom looked like it was redone with wood-like floors. The microwave and mini fridge in was useful. WiFi was strong.

The room looked a little older. The bathroom would not heat up as well as the main room. There were limited parking spaces so when the hotel was all booked out, parking spaces ran out but the manager told us we could park in the accessibility spot or in front of the parked snow plow.

This place has old Tahoe vibes with a quirky yet cozy feel. the location is prime and tucked away right next to King’s Beach with easy access to many other locations. The manager is extremely friendly along with other staff like the housekeeper. There is a variety of rooms. If staying for a long duration, there are rooms available with a kitchen, big fridge, mini dining table, cooking utensils, pots and more space in general. This place is a bargain!

There is no AC but they provide fans to keep the place cool. luckily Tahoe cools off quickly after a hot summer day.

Amazingly quiet. I know that is a chance thing (it can go either way), but, I was happy I was able to sleep with my window wide open and not worry about crowds or noise! I did not see non guests “hanging out” within the property. I always found parking available within the property. Neil was the most helpful host ever!! I definitely will return to this inn next year. Sweet shaded walk to Kings Beach proper!! All access to anything in King’s Beach!! Super clean rooms with everything you need and nothing you don’t!!! Neil was available all the time! I don’t know how he got any rest!!

I saw non-guests parking within property and not checking in with host. Host allows non-guests to park within a certain section of the property for a nominal fee. (FYI; the arrangement did not impede my parking within the inn property; but it could potentially have an effect during weekend busy hours).

Price was cheap for this great location/room for skiing/snowboarding. Hot spa was quite a nice touch especially during the blizzard! The owner was awesome to deal with!

Even though the room is renovated, we could tell that it wasn't renovated with quality in mind. Lots of messy jobs. Bed was too soft for my taste and there was stain on the bed when our sheets came off by accident. That simply didn't deter us, but for some it may. Better than staying inside a car during blizzard.

Best kept little affordable secret in the heart of Kings Beach! I’m not sure why it’s taken me so long to post a GREAT review since we have been coming here with our family for over 10 years.. but I felt like post Covid and in a world where everything continues to get more expensive and snooty🥲, Stevenson’s remains an unchanged classic! The owner Neil is beyond kind and accommodating, always remembers our family and is always there to help you with anything that might come up. There were many times when it was just my girls and I staying here solo, and he made sure we were always safe and in a sizable comfy, clean room! I would highly recommend to everyone looking for a reasonable, clean, safe and excellent location for your family to stay in Kings Beach!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nothing!

Room was larger than I expected, had more amenities like a whole kitchen and it was a walk away from the lake and the staff was very friendly plus I could bring my dog.

Because it is a slightly older building we had some extra "guests" that snuck in and made a home in the corner behind this electric stove probably used for heating in the winter in one of the rooms. I'm not the biggest fan of spiders.

Neil was very accommodating. Anything I needed he was there to provide great service. The location was perfect. We walked to good restaurants and miniature golf and the beach. Very relaxing.

Didn't like the one star review from the guest that stayed 1 night about 4 nights ago. I was talking to Neil and he showed me the pictures. That is one house guest you never want to have to clean up after. He left the place a complete disaster! I feel guests should be more respectful and mindful of others especially in this time we have plenty to be thankful for.

I traveled to the Tahoe area to attend a wedding at Palisades Tahoe. I wanted to say near the lake without spending a ton of $$$. This place was perfect for me. I could easily walk to the lake and to multiple stores and restaurants. Room was spacious, recently painted and comfy. Easy parking. Burger place next door was good.

Pool no functioning - but it was still winter.
