Hotel Lucent

I like how close the property was close to Stanford hospital. it was less than 10 min drive. I like how nice the small rooms were. Moderns makes up for the small space. The office and lounge was lovely along with the complimentary breakfast. the free Bluetooth printer available in lobby was a plus and came in handy for me.

I did not like our original room assigned to us which was #201. The heater did not want to work and the traffic noise was super loud. Luckily we were moved to another room and we were able to sleep much better.

Stylish refurbishment of am older motel. Lots of amenities I did not get an opportunity to try/use because of my schedule. The location near Stanford University and the Silicon Valley is ideal. Definitely COVID aware. Convenient, easy access covered garage space. WiFi was free and easy to configure.

Overall the Hotel Leland was very nice. There were a few nits: The desk and both bedside tables were equipped with convenient plugs for chargers, etc. All were so worn that the inserted plug did not make a reliable connection. The security door between the garage and the hotel proper has a very strong auto-close spring. I use a cane and found it difficult to open the door while holding cane and anything else. The room layout forces the aisle between the king sized bed and the desk to be very narrow. The desk chair is very low, which makes working at the desk difficult. There is a lobby/social room that has a firepit with an open gas flame. It looks great but it's a bad idea in the context of global warming and emissions.

Very retro and good value for this area....plenty of restaurants nearby and perfect place to stay if you're catching a show at The Guild Theatre. Good coffee in the morning. I loved that a set break at The Guild I was able to come back to the room....

Breakfast bar is basic but not bad actually...just carb-centric.

bad & rude receptionist lady (day time). shower gel is out of shower room. no elevators; and receptionist reluctant to help.

Loved my stay. The room was spacious, clean, well decorated. The bathroom was amazing. Loved the amount of fluffy pillows. Great lobby and communal spaces

The room could have been warmer. Set the thermostat high but it didn't seem to get warmer but also wasn't cold lol. I just wanted it toaster, maybe there is a set that it won't go over

1.free coffee machine 2. Reception staffs are very kind, let me store luggage after I check out, and allow me to stay in the lubby wait my friends to pick me up. 3. Breakfast are great

The swimming pool/hot tub was amazing. The breakfast was hot and phenomenal with a variety of options. The pancakes were fire!

I was very disappointed that the fire pit was not functioning.

The location was great. Close to many amenities, a variety of restaurants and other food purveyors of all kinds, and also close to Santa Cruz street, which is lined with many boutiques shops for window shopping or buying.

Pool was closed (COVID-related, likely) and spa was under maintenance.

Front Lady didn’t allowed cleaning in our room until we leave. Makes no sense when she said it would be every 3 days because of covid and we have been here 5days already and no one has came to clean 🤦🏻‍♀️

The hotel and the staff are nice. I enjoy my stay there especially the breakfast. Also very easy to commute. Make my trip a very convenient one.
