Acqua Hotel

The views were sensational. Loved wine and cheese night, enjoying time near the fire pit in the terrace. The free apples were a bonus, we cannot afford them in our regular life.

Our shower curtain had mold on it. We asked for the tub to be deep cleaned, we are not sure if it was but the shower curtain was still left there. So that was a bummer, we should have received a new curtain without mold on it. I’m deathly allergic. It would have been nice if the TV was a smart TV so we could have done the screen mirror. Also, a microwave would have been handy for such a steep price.

The staff were delightful! Warm, welcoming, informative, helpful. The prize was the fully opening window and tiny balcony, overlooking the inlet. Absolutely lovely view! The grounds outside are landscaped beautifully as well. We loved the 5-7pm wine and cheese, the outdoor seating, the evening warm cookies, and the breakfast was very well done, with so many delicious options. (And the eggs weren’t over cooked or all clumped together!!) Top notch reason to get up in the morning

The hallway was a bit unusual and austere, and had me worried, and although the room was slightly smaller than expected, it had everything we needed. The biggest drawback was the mattress - it was quite lumpy and uneven. Also, softer towels would have been more pleasant. They were very clean, white, and thick, but didn’t feel as luxurious as the looked. Finally, there was actually a gorgeous view from the bathroom, but the window was quite dirty and cobwebbed on the outside and we couldn’t really fully appreciate it.

I've stayed at Acqua Hotel twice now - the staff is always phenomenal and the view from the room is incredible. It's a beautiful property with delightful perks such as a wine hour and a great breakfast. A three-star hotel with a four-star experience and service. I had let the hotel know that we were visiting to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and they were able to accommodate our room early, and even set out a really lovely treat for us when we checked in. They were even kind enough to allow us a late check out. I can't recommend this property enough!

What a perfect little hotel with great amenities. The location was perfect for visiting Sonoma, Napa, Sausalito, and San Francisco. Great wine and cheese reception nightly and a delicious hot breakfast bar every morning made for a delightful stay. The staff were exceptional and never once neglected to acknowledge your coming or going with a friendly "have a great day" or "welcome back." Free parking is a definite plus and at least 2 restaurants are within walking distance. This is just a very central location for so many sites if you are driving. Do not hesitate to book at this hotel!

We enjoyed every aspect if the hotel and as far as we are concerned, it's the best find we've had in years of travel and we will definitely return.

Loved the breakfast, wine and cheese hour and the delicious hot homemade cookies! And really appreciated how pet friendly the hotel and staff were. And huge thanks to the hotel staff for being so accommodating with our requests. It is one of the best hotel experiences we've ever had!

We wish the breakfast time could be extended to 11am on the weekends. Other than that, the time just went by too fast. Can't wait to return!

staff in every way were delightful, helpful, kind, smiling. amenities were beyond expectations: coffee, tea, homemade cookies, full breakfast, afternoon wine, sodas, all included, plus free bikes for a spin. Location perfectly situated for a run into SF, Sausalito , Larkspur: restaurants, shopping, SUPING, sailing and on and on. Having lived in this area for years and now coming back to visit, it was like coming home. Simply the best.

The staff is always professional and friendly. This is our 4th stay, but 1st time with our dogs. They are very dog friendly. Our room was smaller than previous and furniture a bit worn, but that's understandable for a dog room (management can't be certain of dog's behavior) Super clean and comfy. The walking path around the bay and how quiet it always is(despite being so close to highway =easy access) are huge pluses for us. Beautiful breakfast. Wine & snacks in lobby each evening 👌

From the moment we checked in we felt well taken care of at the Acqua hotel. The young man working the front desk was very informative and friendly. The room and patio were comfortable and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed the complimentary wine and cheese and the complimentary breakfast was beyond our expectations. The only thing lacking was a well lit bathroom but not enough of an inconvenience to downgrade our opinion of the hotel.

It was a pretty location. I like that the front desk was open for 24 hours and there was coffee and beverages. Staff seem very friendly.

I had made reservations over a month ago. I was looking forward to a room with a view in a little patio which we had. It was blocked by a fence with a storage unit. It was very disappointing view wise. I thought if I had made an early reservation, I would’ve got a nicer room.

The hotel staff’s attention to detail was greatly appreciated: 2 days prior to check in, we received a COVID check-in call; the front desk was very mindful of my daughter’s life threatening dairy allergy with our ‘swag’ bag; it was so nice be welcomed with a half bottle of our choice wine, gourmet cookies & smart waters. My husband appreciated the cleanliness of the room—how remotes were bagged/sealed, the toilet had a paper seal indicating it’s been cleaned & prepared for our stay. I appreciated the amount of towels that we were given in our bathroom, and the EO brand toiletries dispensers on the wall ranging from hand soap, body lotion, shampoo/conditioner, shower gel. The tub was very nice & they even left bath salts. The grounds & view toward the back end of hotel is beautiful. The 2nd floor glass atrium with firepit tables were inviting and so nice! The availability of both water & sparkling water in the 2nd floor eating area is so nice as well as the bowls of fruit & veggie chips during ‘off/closed’ hours were such a nice touch! The breakfast was excellent: offerings included scrambled eggs, chicken mango sausage, bacon, veggie frittata, pastries such as croissants, muffins, waffle station, wheat bread, and English muffins, oatmeal, yogurt & fresh juices as well as coffee and very fresh, delicious fruits (pineapple, watermelon, strawberries, grapes, cantaloupe and honey dew melons)! Quite the spread that was well attended to through the morning by Cristina & Milagros. They were so kind to answer my questions about ingredients relating to safe foods for my daughter. Also it was so nice to have breakfast available from 0700-1000. Usually most hotels close BF earlier. Genevieve, at the front desk, was so kind to provide specific verbal & printed directions to the Marin Headlands coastal trail that we wanted to see, saving us a lot of frustration especially as we were short on time.

I didn’t like the location of the hotel itself off the highway. There is a lot of highway noise depending where your room is located, but the architecture of the hotel, especially from the back waterfront area, really blocks the noise. The view from our rooms faced the garbage dumpster & parking lot with juliette balconies. I didn’t realize until after we were getting close to checking out that the locks on the sliding doors leading to the balconies were broken and unlockable.
