Hotel staff called to confirm the room arrangements and parking areas available. Historical hotel with character and class. Safe locking systems in place and elevator for ease. Room was cozy yet efficient, with big bed, huge closet and bathroom. Nice view and old world charm. Very close to pubs and grills, just off the water.

Parking crowed, but expected for SF.

Wonderful location. Walking distance to everything of interest. Very comfortable room with great bedding. Convenient (paid) parking within easy walking distance. I could imagine the lot being full though during high season. I had to wait about 15 minutes for a slot to open when I arrived early afternoon on a Saturday. The AC worked well and there was a well supplied coffee/tea set-up. Great water pressure in the sink and shower. I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to Sausalito and will definitely return and choose this hotel again!

Initially, I was put off when I arrived and discovered a note on the door to call a cell number to arrange check-in. However, a gentleman showed up within 5 minutes and explained the access procedures to me. There was seldom anyone at the front desk, but there was truly no need either. It was like staying in a small apartment building, coming and going in safety as I pleased. So, not technically a complaint!

This location is absolutely perfect as its on the waterfront adjacent to the ferry terminal and close to everything you need to see/enjoy in Sausalito including the marina, restaurants, an amazing bookshop and so many others....................!! Parking is 25 yards from the front door! Walking everywhere you need is on the flat unless your visiting some lucky locals up the side streets! :-)

Not sure if there are any facilities at this hotel as I only stayed one night and was out most of the time and only saw reception? If you check out early no one will be at the front desk to do any admin as yiu just leave your keys as I did.

The location was perfect. It was right by the Bay, where you could easily stroll and watch the sailboats and seals and feel the cool breeze. It was a stones throw from tons of restaurants, shops, and attractions--once we parked, we did not need to get in the car again. The hotel includes free parking in a lot near the hotel. The room was impeccable, and had such charm. We had one of the larger rooms within the turret and it felt like a little castle. I would definitely stay there again.

No complaints. It was the perfect place for a romantic weekend away.

No one on site. To check in you have to call a@# n wait for them. The phone in my room didn't work so I couldnt call the desk for assistance. I called the hotel # on the phone and got a recording 2x and left a message. No one responded. Finally I went downstairs and the representative was leaving. He was helpful for my needs abruptly told me if I needed anything to call another number that was posted at the desk. It is a very nice hotel, but they really need staff.

Staff wasn't welcoming and there wasn't anyone in site

From the moment we stepped off the ferry from San Francisco and strolled the short walk to the hotel we felt we had arrived at an oasis of peace and quiet. Robin was on the front desk to greet us warmly and show us up to our lovely room. Huge comfy bed, powerful walk-in shower and coffee machine and fridge made our stay delightful but the breathtaking views across the bay from our windows were the unexpected icing on the cake!

Nothing, but I look forward to the cafe downstairs reopening after the renovations. Plenty of other breakfast places nearby.

Great location - just a few min walk from all the shops and restaurants. At night it was pretty quite. It looks like construction is still going on on the first floor area but it was not active during the weekend when I visited.

The facility feels a bit outdated but everything is still clean. Parking was slightly hard to find - a spot is not always available in the public parking lot across the street, but because the location is so great we didn’t need to use the car much.

The Hotel Sausalito is from 1915, but renovated in late 1990s. It is centrally located near the ferry and restaurants. Only 16 rooms, all on the top (2nd) floor. Our room was very comfortable, clean, quiet and featured a bay window overlooking the street and a park, plus a stained glass window in the shower. They don't do that anymore. Robin, the concierge, is an amazing personality. Parking a bit extra in a municipal lot only steps from the hotel.

Due to Covid-19, as usual no breakfasts were available. Notice of construction below would be appreciated, as other Hotels used give. Other Hotel provided ear plugs in room for same or nearby Trains, ships!

Some days of loud construction drilling, as complete rest was hoped for following operation - but then not to be expected in a lovely Tourist city and waterfront.

The location is right next to the Ferry. The room had a wonderful view of the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition fountain and elephants. The room was clean and housekeeping did a great job.

The front desk is not manned in the morning or evening.
