The rooms were freshly renovated. The rest of the hotel seems to be going through renovations, so don't judge it based only on the check-in experience. The rooms are far better than you would expect after walking in the front doors. The beds were clean and had no signs of bed-bugs (something I always check for now) I appreciated the ironing board that was available. The beds were comfy enough. I also really appreciated that the air conditioning worked, and worked well! I appreciated the 24 hr check in. As my plans got all messed up, being able to check in at 3:30 am was a blessing.

There wasn't a ton of lighting in the rooms. It was all supported lighting by individual lamps, that you were lucky if they worked or didn't flicker. The pipes were old it sounded like, so anytime water was being used near you, even in a different room, your bathroom and sink would groan. Breakfast was extremely underwhelming and didn't have many healthy options for the diet conscious. They didn't provide enough soap bars to use one for the sink and one for the bath, while it is easily fixed, it is an annoyance when you check in at 3 AM. The doors are the least sound-proof part of the room. You can hear everything through them. Overall, a fine and budget friendly place to stay that I would consider should I visit again.

Great location—my fiancé was attending a convention at the CC right nearby and it was conveniently located near good eats and stores as well. The rooms are beautifully remodeled as well.

I know they’re in the middle of a remodel, so the outside left a lot to be desired and it is a bit of a weird setup, but overall we really enjoyed our stay in the room and it was very comfortable and clean which is all we can ever hope for.

The room was spacious and comfortable to stay in for the time that I was staying there.

I was unaware that room service to clean your room is a service that must be requested for them to come clean. Requesting service to clean your room should be verbally reiterated to you, since there are no visual postings of that. Because of this, I went a few days without having the room cleaned. I’ve never visited a different hotel that made you request room service to clean the night before they are expected to come. Additionally to that, there is a cat issue that they have on their property where they have a family of stray cats roaming the property 24/7 that should be taken care of by animal control.

I love the location, plus my room was cozy. Plus my bed was so comfy felt like was was sleeping on clouds

My boyfriend and I live here in Modesto and we stay at Modesto Hotel occasionally for a stay-cation. We always choose a room with the jacuzzi tub and it’s always clean and sparkling. The hotel staff is extremely kind and helpful. The beds are EXTREMELY comfortable and the decor is very classy in my opinion. You definitely get a fantastic value for the money!!

Unfortunately if you get a room on the freeway side it can be a bit noisy, but that comes with any hotel that’s near a freeway. However, if you’re like me and run the AC at night, this won’t be a problem. It drowns out the sound of the freeway traffic just fine :)

Comfortable, relaxing

Wasn't cleaned this time. As good as it was the first time I stayed in this same room, there was left over things from guest before. I'm usally not that picky because I clean an disinfect when I get a room anyways but there was alot of double sided tape on ceiling above the bed and left over of balloon pieces. Stained towels for executive suite I think more attention should has been done when room was cleaned

Safe location. Easy access to freeway. Next to mall so plenty of eating options. newly renovated. Large room. Very quiet. Lots of parking.

As place was being renovated the breakfast room was finished yet so in a small space. Breakfast from 6am-10am, but no coffee or food at 9:45am. No biggie as I don’t eat breakfast, but it would’ve been nice to have coffee. As is, Starbucks is around the corner. Lady offered to make coffee but we couldn’t wait that long. I’m sure it’ll get better when the place as things are getting redone.

the remodeling still being done on one side . rooms are nice and clean but need to get rid of the dirty ottomans. just remove them because they make everything else look dirty when they’re stained.

Good value for the price. Room was clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast selection, and also very clean.

No A/C in the hallways. No circulation made it very stuffy and hot. No elevator. My bag was light so it wasn't an issue. Could be an issue for others. No overhead lighting, and only 2 lamps. Could have used 1 more.

The night shift gentleman that checked me in was the absolute sweetest! instantly made me feel comfortable and I appreciated the kindness as I was exhausted for a long day/trip. arriving at night could be scary for me so he made me feel welcomed.
