From checkin to checking out the hotel manager was asking how we were doing and if we needed anything. He had an amazing sense of humor. That said housekeeping was also great. Rooms were exceptionally clean, upgraded and well maintained. Location was right on the beach with an outdoor patio with grill for our use. The price for a 2 bedroom suite was incredible. There was also a pullout which my grandson loved. Manager recommended several bars and restaurants when we checked in. Pismo Beach was an amazing area. Not overcrowded like San Diego and so many choices for drinks and food that were all excellent. There’s even a great food truck on the pier with exceptional prices.

Not one blessed thing. They hit the mark on everything!

The property was right off the pier.

Big vehicles are allowed to park right in front of the doors which are facing the ocean, so it blocks the view and you feel closed in. I mentioned to the clearly about the parking and his response was don’t park in front of your window and do you want an upgrade? I have a small car. If I didn’t park in front of my room someone else was going to do it. I told him the room description stated that it was ocean room. They should include a blurb about how views can be blocked by large cars if you are downstairs.

Great location right on the beach front. Amazing room and the staff was super friendly and helpful! Pismo beach was a bit of a surprise location on the road trip, really enjoyed the place, the beach and the motel was super located to enjoy the area. We will be back next time we're in California.

Only niggle was maybe get some nicer pillows (I like a medium/soft but my wife likes a firm) just to add an option for guests. But we still had a good night's sleep so by no means did it make the stay uncomfortable!!!

What completely made our stay was the receptionist Michael who was so very friendly and easy to talk to - providing us with so much useful information - lots of tips on places to eat and trips to make. perfect location right next to the beach and boardwalk with a view of the setting sun from the door of the room.

Just a little worn round the edges in the room. But everything clean.

The location was the best part of Dolphin Cove Motel. You can walk to either side of the boardwalk in seconds. The area, pretty much all of Pismo Beach, is extremely clean. Pismo beach is a well maintained area. Even though the water was very cold I went in fully and it felt amazing.

There were a few things about the room I would for sure change; one, there are hardly any outlets and the ones they do have were lamp outlets (outlets made on the lamp itself). My charger plug was to bulky to fit in the socket. Two, the microwave could not be plugged in since the prong was to big for the socket. That for sure rubbed me the wrong way. Bring a surge protector and plug it into the bathroom socket. That is my suggestion. Also, the room made a good amount of strange noises.

Our first introduction was being upgraded to a room that most people need to book six or seven months in advance. We were so excited! The location is incredible. The staff is friendly and very informative about places to eat and the town in general. The bed was very comfortable. I could tell this motel was well loved and taken care of. This is our new go to motel in Pismo. I will book well in advance because I am sure it sells out often.

Dolphin cove was in the most beautiful setting right on the Pismo beach and next the the board walk the sunsets were stunning.The motel room we had comprized of 3 double bed two in the main room and one in a seperate room complete with Tv and side tables ,the main room had a TV , microwave oven and fridge off this room was a bathroom with a great tiled shower and plenty of fresh towels.This motel was spot on for our two night stay.Pismo beach is an all american beach with paragliders, golden eagles,great horn owls,peligans and we were lucky enough to spot humpback whales absolutely stunning the water was also warm enough for a dip in the Pacific ocean.The area around the Dolphin cove had bar and restaurants also a laundrette i would recommend this acommodation.

I had no complaints

The bed was very comfortable, shower was excellent, had cable and streaming services on the TV. good coffee, fridge, safe and a closet. I was in room 12 and had a pretty good view of the water. was quiet even considering the location. staff were friendly and thorough. good food and beer a short walk away, immediate entry to the beach for a lovely evening walk. really can’t fault it. had a great stay.

could hear the parking lot when there was noise but the noise was few and far between

walking distance to everything! room was clean. cleaning ladies were nice and informative about the room! guy at front was kind of rude/snarky but was nice to offer me 2 different rooms! :)

construction was going on all day, lots of noise. beds were not comfy but location was great. cold shower, no warm water!

Location was good, right in downtown, easy walk to shops, beach and pier. Nice to hear ocean at night. Parking on site and seemed safe.

Facility was a little dated, was very clean though, ceiling and walls seemed thin, could hear next door voices and upstairs walking a bit too much, parking lot kind of blocked ocean view if on lower floor
