This is a gem of a place to stay. The staff will go beyond your expectations to make you feel welcome and your stay with them a pleasure. Andrew was exceptional in his guest services. The breakfast was fabulous with homemade muffins our favorite. They host a free wine tasting from 5pm-6pm with hord'oeuvres from the restaurant next door. The room was spacious and clean with free parking in the back. There are no elevators and a few stairs to every room. Be sure to have the staff make reservations at the restaurant next door "The Taste". It is a culinary wow! There are many wineries close that the staff is very knowledgeable about depending upon your wine preference. We will stay there again.

Staff was super friendly. Happy hour and breakfast offerings were nice additions! Appreciated the Taste restaurant being right next door. Great location for wine tasting in the area.

Excellent breakfast, cooked to order. Beautiful property with good parking and access. Wine-tasting every evening, nice opportunity to meet the staff and other guests. Close to many wineries, country location made traveling easy. Two very good restaurants nearby.

The breakfast was delicious! The atmosphere in the lobby was nice and relaxing, the perfect spot to unwind. The staff was attentive and helpful and the nightly wine tasting was fun.

The beds are quite high off the ground. I'm on the short side so it was a bit of a challenge getting into bed, and I almost fell out of bed trying to reach the ground. But I managed!

A not-so hidden gem, on the main street of this historic gold rush town, Plymouth (known back then as Pokerville). Only a couple of doors away from an exceptional restaurant, Taste, also managed by the same couple.

we loved it. quirky layout which added to its charm. having the balcony to enjoy morning coffee and evening chill is a must!

Breakfast looked OK. We didn't eat breakfast there; we went to the Dead Fly Diner nearby. The problem with Rest's breakfast was very limited seating. Dead Fly was excellent...full of happy people.

Loved the ambiance of the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Loved the happy hour wine and nibbles from Taste next door. The breakfast buffet offered a variety of choices and was delicious! We will definitely return.

Rest goes out of it’s way to make every stay special, from the wine tasting at night to the yummy breakfast in the morning. Especially appreciated is the staff participation with guests… it provides a true “quaint family pension” experience.
