Best Western Cabrillo Garden Inn

Well the location was close to my expectations but, I had no idea as to what the area would look like do to never haven been in the area. The breakfast was great for what they had to prepare with. The Staff were friendly and accommodating. The roof top terrace was a added bonus.

Homeless were in the area. Not just a little but a lot. I know you have no control over that but it would have been nicer had they not been in the area. The security (you just walk up to the doors) did not give me good vibes. I would have received a warm and fuzzy if you had to use a key card to get in the building. Maybe even a front desk/lobby area.

Great location, particularly to Gaslamp area and Petco. Breakfast very good.

Everything was great for us. Our friends with us had the smoke detector battery start to go out about 11 pm. Someone came up and removed the dying battery. Only issue was that the person said they would come back up with replacement. Our friends waited but no one came back. They finally called down and were told it would be replaced the next day. They should have been told this to begin with so they didn’t wait up for someone to come back up and didn’t have to call back down to the desk.

Tasty breakfast, generous portions and good attention by the staff. Varied breakfast alternatives. The WiFi worked great, although when we checked out we suddenly got disconnected and had to connect to a different network while sitting in the reception waiting for the taxi. There was a very helpful guy at the reception, who helped us to get a taxi, because our Uber application didn't work.

Very small breakfast room, with only two tables inside. However, you have the option to take the breakfast to the room or to sit outside where there are two other tables, if the weather is good enough.

Great breakfast. Room was clean. I found the room to be quiet but I'll note I had the A/C on, which also would have blocked out any potential noise. Mattress was comfortable and shower was decent.

I found the type of pillows they use to not be very comfortable. They use disposable plates, cups, and cutlery for breakfast, which is terribly polluting.

My room at the Cabrillo Garden Inn was one of the cleanest, most well-kept rooms I have ever experienced. It was in a favorable location for my travel purposes. I was able to get ride share service very quickly there. Also, the bed was extremely comfortable and I really appreciated that.

The room heater fan is noisy. I had to work for that one as I don't have thing to complain about.

I thought the rooms were extremely nice and clean, I loved how the hallways lit up at night. How spacious the bathrooms were and clean everything was. The floors are so smooth and cool, the best was huge and comfortable. You can adjust the AC to how you like and the room even came with a mini fridge. I loved how friendly all the staff were. I want to give a big thanks to the staff for letting me stay past my check out time until 2 pm since my flight was later in the day and I had no where to go. They were so extremely kind to accommodate me at no charge and were happy to help when I explained my situation. Thank you so much, it was a pleasure staying here and made my last night in San Diego so enjoyable!

Staff was very pleasant and attentive. I believe it is a husband and wife who lead the property and they are very attentive to needs of the guests. When we were loading our car with luggage the husband came running out to help. They also were attentive during the nice breakfast offerings. Great team.

The room was rather small but it was exactly like the dimensions on the webpage and matched the photos provided online. We had no surprises and it met our needs.

We found the staff SUPER welcoming, helpful & accommodating. Room was compact but fine for us (two adults & two kids). Very clean & well maintained. Basic but well stocked grab & go breakfast was all we needed before a day of sightseeing. Parking on site was handy. Mini supermarket just across the road. Easy 10min walk to numerous restaurants.

We liked it all & would use again for a SD mini break!

Staff was accommodating and we were allowed to park our car in their lot beyond check-out time which was very helpful.

The bathroom was small but had all that was needed. Shelves were so narrow that toiletries kept falling off. A towel rack would have been helpful.

Perfectly located in downtown Palm Springs, this is a very charming hotel! Good shower, fast WIFI, nice pool & hottub, nice breakfast, huge bath, great poolbar. Absolutely recommended!

We missed a safe in the room.
