Everything about this property is wonderful - the building is charming, the location is fantastic, the room was spacious and comfortable and the breakfast (which was a very nice surprise) was a great addition to the overall experience. Staying here was the absolute highlight of our California roadtrip, we will certainly come back!

A very minor detail is that the blinds did not block out the (lovely!) California sun - and as we were travelling with a child this made for a very early wake up on the first day. We remedied it on the following days by covering our windows with our travel towels but curtains covering the window would be the perfect final addition to the room.

We got there after the staff had left; they were aware of our late arrival and had sent a text of what was waiting for us when we did arrive. The transition was smooth, and the room was Perfect! The house (a converted home once own by a Navy staff person) is in a quiet and polite neighborhood close to all the shops, restaurants, and the Beach is three blocks away. Our son is stationed on Coronado in the Navy, so we visit him a dozen times a year and love visiting all the shop on the island.

I think for what they did to turn that house into a BB was quite good. We are going back again later next year and will give review than.

Pleasant stay, cozy old B&B in the perfect location for our stay on Coronado Island. We didn't take advantage of the extended continental breakfast, but they had all the essentials and a small room to enjoy the offerings, or you can take it back to your room. The room was perfect for us, except the bathroom needed some touch up and loving care. The room had all the essentials too. The mattresses were well used and had sunken in the middle which made for too soft of a mattress for me. Other than needing new mattresses, the room was exactly right, and we enjoyed the separate, private entrance around the back of the property with a nice-sized patio just outside our door. It is also a ground floor room which made it perfect for my wife. The air conditioner does tend to produce a lot of moisture condensation which pools on the floor in front of the refrigerator, TV and dresser (and all the way to the door). A few small fixes and the room would be perfect.

See the note above regarding the mattresses and air conditioner flooding. The mirrors in the bathroom were both too high for my wife to use for her hair or makeup. The bathroom plug plate needs to be properly installed and tightened into the wall housing. The paint job in the bathroom was a rush job, and very messy. The paint in our room was pristine in contrast. The ceiling lamps/fans both need to have pull controls to allow the use of the fan without the light, and visa versa. Using the wall switch only doesn't allow for those options.

PERFECT LOCATION! Could not have had a better location to Orange Avenue or the beach even if we tried. The on-street parking was no issues we were always within 30 seconds of the property. BREAKFAST WAS GOOD! We were usually up by around 9:30am to grab some breakfast and there was a lot of choice avaliable.

We stayed in room 12 which has a private bathroom located in the main hallway, and not located inside the actual bedroom. We were aware of this when making the booking, but of course it would have been nicer if we had an integral bathroom inside the room - needless to say it would not stop us from staying at Cherokee Lodge again. Only other thing we found was that it can get rather noisy when other guests are arriving at the property at night time (floorboards creak, doors are loud etc), again we were expecting this as it is such an old property, but at one point we thought there might have been a ghost roaming the house, although this was not a dealbreaker and we would still stay again, happily.

The location is wonderful. It's a short walk to the beach and I took a stroll and/or jogged each day. Also, very close to the main street where there are shops, restaurants, groceries, etc. Check out Dinky Donuts for a little, but awesome donut or breakfast burrito. The town is "beachy Parisian". Lots of croissants and coffee and trendy boutiques as well as beachy stores. Cute bookstore with children's books.

The lodge a bit dark and dated. The furniture is antiques which makes it look older. It is very clean and I had everything that I needed. I would definitely stay again due to the location. If I owned the place, I would refresh it all - but then it would definitely be more expensive!

Easy self-check-in which we had no problems with, also we parked right outside on the street for free, and very helpful staff who were on site from around 1000am to 1500pm Amazing location 2 mins from High Street and only 5 mins walk from the Beach and the Hotel Del Our Bed was comfortable and we liked the Victorian-style furniture, all in all, a great Inn which we look forward to returning to.

This is a well maintained historic property. My good friend from Germany visiting the area for the first time was extremely impressed . It felt almost as food as being home for the holidays.

The two windows in the seating area being the only ones available to open, need a bit of maintenance work. Everything else was great! We left the bathroom window and door open for airing. The heater is a bit loud but understandable for such an old property. so we just used the extra blanket provided.

Location- walk to the beach and close to everything in San Diego. Quiet, nice, safe mostly private homes neighborhood. Beautiful flower garden. Very clean. Fresh bakery goods every morning. Our 3rd year visiting from AZ. Will be back next year. Staff is exceptionally nice.

No problems in each of our visit.

Location was great, right in the middle of town. Good WiFi and property was clean. The staff was very nice.

We were in room 8 which had an ensuite, not all rooms have one, but it was not built for the tall or wide. The room was small. The communal living room was lovely, but the sofa wasn't very comfortable which made the room uninviting. There were seats on the front porch and in the backyard, but we didn't find them comfortable either. Parking is street parking and you have to drive around and hope you find one nearby.
