Location close to many tourist attractions/downtown and the front doors are locked with a keypad. Forgot to ask for hotel parking but was able to park overnight in front and on the side of the hotel. The room was cozy and cheap. The full bed was the perfect size for my boyfriend and I. The shared bathrooms were nice, pretty clean, and had a huge shower. The staff had great customer service and the lobby was pretty.

The location was sketchy at night. I didn’t realize there were shared bathrooms that you had to walk to from your room. The shared bathroom did not have any shelving space for clothes, towels, etc. except for a small nook inside the shower for soaps. The windows in the room are right on the sidewalk (first floor) and it feels like people can look in, BUT were able to be concealed with blinds. No shelves under the TV to hook up a Nintendo switch in the hotel room and the TV was pretty high up. My boyfriend said the pillows were pretty stiff. There was construction going on during the day but stopped before we got back to the room at 10PM.

I liked that there was an extra bed up in the ceiling, but hoped that this could have been properly communicated when booking the room as there was a bit of a cost difference between a similarly advertised room. I appreciated the tv, the dishes & utensils provided, mini-fridge, microwave, and shelves. I love the modernized look! Overall, I would return.

I wish there was an option to make the shower door private to have others access the restroom at the same time. I was unsatisfied that there were no outlets in the bathroom. It was surprising that our key card stopped working and we were locked out at night. Luckily, I had taken a photo of the emergency number in the front desk, which is was saved us because there was no one up front and no numbers posted to client view. A long mirror and A/C or fan would've be appreciated.

Great location and really friendly staff.

Just be careful when booking your room because there are options for a shared community bathroom which I didn’t see and I accidentally booked for that room but the staff were able to switch me to a room with a private bathroom. Also the first room we got was very small and the bed sheets were dirty but when we switched rooms to the one with a private bathroom it was very clean and spacious.

Excelent hotel recently renovated. The room is spacious, updated and really clean. The staff is super attentive. They gave me all kind of suggestions to make the most of my stay. And the location is perfect; walking distance to Balboa Park, LIttle Italy or Downtown.

The lobby should be updated to match the rooms. Don't be taken aback for the look of the entrance, the room is pretty nice.

The Staff (Management and carpentry person) are all accomodating and friendly namely: Stephanie, June, Marco and Alex. Perfect set of employees who know what a true customer service means! Then the place is neatly organized and well kept even the "shared" bathroom which I just found out it is not the typical "Jack and Jill" type of bathroom. :) :)

Good location close to Balboa Park and Little italy. You can easily walk to the bay side or take the trolley to the old town bus station to go to the beaches (La Jolla, etc). Very welcoming and helpful reception staff !

Somewhere to sit in the rooms would be nice. The entrance process is a bit clunky, especially with the front desk not always being manned.

Location is terrific. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. A shout-out to Stephanie at the front desk. Extremely helpful and goes over the top to accommodate your needs as much as possible. Couldn't ask for a warmer welcome than being greeted with Stephanie's smile.

Rooms on the small side but more than adequate.

Very pretty, new and clean! Even though we had to share the bathroom, ir was incredibly clean always and there was so much privacy. The laundry was very cheap and staff very helpful.

It a bit difficult to find a spot for the car in the beginning but we end up finding a street two blocks away where you can park for free.

Great staff and room was very clean.

I had an injury that required me to stay in room one day. They are updating rooms so a bit of construction noise (not at NIGHT), but I am sure this is not a common occurrence. It is nice they want to make there place up to date.
