Spacious room. Conveniently located close to airport. There was also a gas station one building down from the inn which was convenient for us since we were travelling by car. It's also really close to where all the shops and eateries are located. There's a lot of different types of restaurants, cafes and supermarkets to check out.

The heater in the room started making a rattling noise in the early hours of the morning but other than that our stay was pleasant.

The room was very well located and everything I needed was located quite closely. I only booked the room because I was in transit from Mexico to Southeast Asia and I had a few days needing to get some things done. The staff was very professional. The hotel is very clean. The room had a Keurig which was very nice.

I did not have my room cleaned once but I did get fresh towels. I even told the staff to please clean the room. Perhaps I did not put up the little sign. I also did not much like having to go through the garage to enter the hotel yet leaving the hotel was through the front door. Both doors should be open for entry and exit since people come with cars.There should be free water given every day.

Very nice staff. Easy check-in/out. Big room. Fridge and Micro came in handy. Free, safe parking in Gateway Inn's garage. Excellent location with easy access to Highways 101/280 as well as SF/SFO. Great housekeeping service. Maid gave us extra towels as well as yummy Kirkland coffee and pods for Keurig-style in-room coffee maker. Easy walk to IHOP to pick up breakfast. Peninsula (and SF) water comes gravity-fed from Hetch Hetchy reservoir near Yosemite. Tastes terrific right out of the tap. Even better in our Brita-Filter bottles. Liked the hardwood-style floors throughout. No gross carpet! About 20 minute drive to get almost anywhere in SF. Rooms in SF are smaller, and much more expensive, including higher room taxes, as well as added fees such as parking. Will stay at Gateway Inn and Suites again. Great value for the price!

It took a while to realize that the shower valve was installed backwards. After a little fiddling, got good hot water. There are certainly fancier hotels in the area if money is no object. Was pleasantly surprised how nice this hotel is for the price. If you want a gym, spa, turn-down service with chocolates & fresh flowers, a giant flat-screen TV with premium channels, valet parking, and a bell-hop, as well as "free" breakfast, this place isn't for you. If you're traveling on a budget, want a big comfy bed, desk, chair, WiFi, tub/shower, fridge and microwave in a decent neighborhood, you'll get a lot of bang for your buck at Gateway Inn and Suites.

The hotel is very close to the airport and very affordable. We stayed here when we had an overnight layover in SFO and it was a great value. The room was clean, the staff was nice, and there were a couple food options in walking distance.

The hotel was a bit noisy, the windows were pretty thin and we could pretty clearly hear the street noise from the busy street. The room also didn't keep out much light in the morning, so be prepared with an eye mask or to wake up with the sun.

Great staff. Comfortable, large rooms, super clean facilities, within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Bay windows make the room feel larger and allow in natural light. Quiet neighborhood. Easy hop to BART (and connection to the entire Bay Area) using public transport via the "ECR" bus that stops practically in front of the hotel.

I liked everything about this place. It went to the top of my choice for a place in the SF Bay Area.

The room was gorgeous! It definitely looked like they had recently renovated. The room was modern, very clean, had a microwave and mini fridge, and spacious. I wasn’t as confident as I entered the lobby as this hotel has been around a while. The lobby is tiny, the entrance is through the garage, and the elevator definitely has had its share of use. But the staff was wonderful and as I said, the room was terrific. For the price I paid ($125), it was a great value as well. I would stay here again if I need a place near the SFO airport. It was a quick 8 minutes to the airport.

I didn’t like entering through the garage when there was a sliding front door on the sidewalk side of the building. The open courtyard from the second to third floors had me worried about noise but that wasn’t a problem. There are solid doors on the rooms.

It was the perfect location for our early flight. We stayed one night. Easy walk to the local shops/restaurants. It was less than a 10-minute Uber ride to get to the airport. The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.

As the hotel was close to the airport, it was quite noisy due to planes flying overhead. That was fine though, for the short time we stayed.

Very well equipped with Coffee maker and a great staff, very friendly und custom oriented. Close to the Airport. No Hotel Shuttle from the Airport available but perfect If you come at midnight from the airport the Public Transport ist done for the day and you either pay 50 Dollar for a cab or you have rented a Car at the SFO to get to the Hotel.

Very convenient location for an overnight layover at SFO. The bed was comfortable with soft pillows. Good water pressure in the shower. The building felt secure and there are a few restaurants walking distance away. Staff was welcoming.

No airport shuttle, but Uber wasn’t too bad since the hotel is pretty close to the airport.

This is a good landing pad for the weary traveller. Close to the airport (a $20 Uber ride away), with helpful staff on the front desk, the rooms were large, clean and comfortable.

For the Australasian traveller, coffee in America is bad at the best of times. But whatever it was that came out of the machine in the hotel room, my advice is not to drink it.
