Absolutely perfect for a solo traveler. The value is fantastic! This place is like a very comfortable hostel (private rooms, clean shared bathrooms which are almost always available).

Beds are extremely firm/uncomfortable. $30 fee for arrival after 10pm. Although this is very clearly stated, it seems a bit steep given that many people get into town late. The hotel is located in an area with a ton of transient people.

- the location was nice: next to the main Market Street - the room had great facilities (enough sockets, sink, TV, chairs and tables) - the receptionist was super nice: not being familiar with the public transport, he took the time to help me navigate all the tricks and helped organize a visiting route for just 1 day; big kudos to him; -very responsive on Booking messaging ( since I arrived in the evening, I was afraid there will be delays in the plane arrival so since the reception closes at 10 pm I thought that this would mean loosing my reserved spot. But through messages through Booking, the receptionist assured me that keeping them posted it about my arrival even after 10 pm, would be fine) - very nice old type of elevator (like in movies like The Maltese Falcon)

The hotel staff were friendly and approachable. The rooms and bed are a decent size. Had no issues with the hotel itself.

There was a lot of noise on the street directly outside my window. As mentioned in other reviews, 6th Street is home to a lot of homeless, and they play very loud music all night. Some travellers may also not feel safe having to pass by then each time you enter or leave the hotel.

i got sfo to winsor hotel with no issue. easy to get downtown and the local sightseen spots from the hotel on foot. stuff is kind. room is clean. i had a window. the hotel prepared enough towels. the bathroom is no problem.

no refrigerator is a little inconvenient for a 2-week stay. some people may care about the atmosphere around the tenderloin. i had to pass by the area that homeless people occupied. it is up to the people. i did not face the issue.

The rooms are comfortable with a double bed, TV, writing desk, wifi, dresser, hooks for clothes, and well-lit sink area. The bathrooms and showers on each floor are also clean. It's perfectly fine for what I needed - a spot to chill and get some writing done during the day and go to an event and visit with friends in the evening, as it's very close to Civic Center BART so convenient for getting around.

It's a sketchy neighborhood with a lot of unhoused people, but having previously lived in San Francisco I knew what to expect in this area. No one bothered me and the building is very secure.

Ths Owners were really polite. Tha staff & cleaners were kind & the bathrooms were clean for the most part, but way better than exspected. & especially NO BED BUGS!

Obiviosly loud oustside..... To be exspected..... along with crazy activity from the street & homeless, but obviously not the owners fault. I took pictures of the room before & after to show that i kept the room cleaner than i moved in, but also because there were communication problems with the cleaning lady, although she was really kind & always made sure i had towels.; but i definitely left it cleaner than i moved in; with nothing broken or desyroyed or unclean. Only the things that were aged or already damaged in the room, were left the same way i found the room.; But again this hotel has done alot of upgrades, comepared to most like it.

very clean, comfy beds, each room has a sink with mirror, clean showers (there was never a waiting line), loundry (available all day except 9-2pm) and even a kitchen (which we have discovered too late). location close to Union Square, some options for a quick breakfast nearby.

the rooms vere quite laud (street noise) but in thr US it’s a standard so I am just using ear plugs. As in previous comments there are manh homeless around but they are everywhere in the coty centre except of fancy districts. Not bothering you.

It's good value for the money you pay. The place is clean, staff are helpful and it's close to market street. It's really affordable for San Francisco prices, specially if you don't want to share a room. But you will have to share a toilet and showers.

It's what you can expect it to be. It's old, in a bad neighbourhood, the rooms smell a bit funny and are not properly insulated (temperature and noise can be quite bad). However, the chances of finding anything similar in the city at that price are 0. Also there is no room service or fridge or cold water.

The people that work there were all amazing and even gave me tips about places to go and how to treat the homeless in San Francisco. The wifi worked from inside and outside the hotel. The place is within a walkable distance to cool spots like Powell street. Shared bathrooms were always clean. My key always worked. They offered to take care of my things even after my check-out so I could explore the city a little bit more without having to walk with my luggage.

The room was too hot. I wish it had A/C. I have nothing else to add. They were really nice to me. I would go to this place again. It was worth the money I paid. I recommend it if you need to save money and go to Oracle Park for a show or the MoMA.

I really liked how they had private rooms available for booking if you didn’t want to have to share with the whole floor.

Only thing I didnt like was how noisy the beds were, I was careful in not moving alot when going to bed since I didn’t want to possibly disturb any neighbors. Also, morning of my flight I was up almost all early morning finishing packing and this couple came from somewhere and just argued for almost an hour. I had to sleep for a few and I could just here the woman angrily yelling almost .
