The rooms were very clean. The beds were super comfortable.

This is a tricky one to respond to. I traveled with little kids. While I feel sorry for the many homeless that live out on the streets in the area, I did feel quite uncomfortable walking by individuals smoking hash pipes, taking heroine or drinking heavily. While you can mostly avoid this by taking Ellis Street to the hotel, I do think it’s necessary to make other families with little kids aware of this.

The location was convenient, cable car was a few streets away, BART service also nearby, most buses that head out to the different areas of San Francisco are located near by. Nice lounge area for you to relax in if you arrive early and luggage storage is provided if you need to store them and head out while waiting for the 4pm check in. Definitely a good place to relax too and talk to other people staying in the hotel and there is a laundry room for those who want to wash their clothes and a pantry with ice, and free coffee. For the Halal travellers, a lot of Halal options near by like Halal Guys and Halal Wings Plus just to name a few. Definitely prime location and the price was just right for 6 days. Would like to commend the staff present during our stay, they are friendly and very helpful to us.

The room is a little small for 4 persons but we made it work. Would recommend that you split your group into 2s if you plan on staying here. Otherwise it was just nice for you to lay your heads after a day of exploring SF. Neighborhood is a little noisy at night with the cars driving by, but i believe that's negligible, would be the same in any hotels in the area.

The location in Union Square was perfect: close to Mocone Centre, restaurants, shopping, cable car and more. The staff were pleasant. The app was a great way to get help when we needed it. It was very quiet. The lounge was relaxing and clean. There is a work space. The kitchen was good with microwave, coffee and tea, ice but no cooking. Laundry available for a fee and I was able to use an app to pay for that.

The room was not as shown: it definitely looked more spacious than what we got. We were in a corner room with bunk beds at 90 degrees overlapping. No space for luggage. About 4 drawers. No table and no chair. Linen was great and the beds were comfortable. Do not book double bunk room unless you are travelling light.

Excellent and friendly staff. Easy to get in using the Sonder app. Quality and clean hotel. Comfy beds. Felt safe inside the hotel. Very secure luggage room. Kitchen area with facilities to make drinks and a Microwave was very useful, convenient and money saving. Small lounge and work area also very useful. Good central location, although important to stay safe as the area is not good. Take Ubers and walk out and to the right and head always behind the hotel towards Union square, not straight ahead in to Tenderloin. Easy 20-30 mins in taxi to/from SFO airport.

Small 4 bedded bunk room for 4 adults. It was actually OK but with no where to put things, you have to live out of your suitcase. They could do with some hooks or furniture to put things on. Located on the edge of the dodgiest area of the city with druggies and homeless in abundance. it's OK as long as you come out and walk preferably out and to the right towards Ellis. Or, as we did, order lots of Uber to get you to where you're going and back safely. Don't let it put you off but you do need to take precautions and I wouldn't go out at night in the area.

The Hotel is old San Francisco but has been updated. The front desk was helpful, and I paid for the early check-in (1pm) as I came from Australia in the morning and wanted to have a rest. The lockers are useful for pre-check-in and on the day of check-out. If the lockers are full, they will provide storage. Everything runs through the app, which is good in that you can open the front door and room door with your phone. However, you have to be careful not to run out of battery (you get a code as backup). You also have to order cleaning through the app - it is not every day as you may expect, which doesn't worry me as it saves on cleaning chemicals etc. There is a lounge, and work desks on the 2nd floor with water and coffee. Also, some paid vending machines for drinks/snacks. Lots of bars/restaurants in the area, and a short walk to public transport, cable car, shopping mall, etc.

The location is on the edge of Tenderloin; therefore, you need to be mindful of where you are going at night time. The A/C-Heat wasn't working; however, they supplied a small heater that was sufficient to heat the room.

Good location next to transport to most places in SF. Easy luggage storage, free coffee, hot and cold water dispenser, microwave and coin operated laundry. Nice designed common areas and spacious rooms. You would expect to pay more for this standard. Amazing place and great staff. Easy to get the train to the airport from Powell Station which is max 2 minutes walk away so its a super good location. You can walk to most places or just get the bus/ tram/ train and of course the famous cable cars from Powell. Would stay again any time.

Anywhere near a station in any big city attracts all members of society but we were there late at night, with luggage etc and never felt unsafe.

- Homeless people like next to any hotel in downtown. It will be the same if you go to Hilton next by. But just something to be aware of. Downtown San Francisco has a lot of homeless people. - I had to request a couple of times through their chat and app to bring me additional blanket and detergent. - No heating or AC ( it had AC, but it’s broken) - Very had coffee

The concept is great, minimalizing contact with staff, but it provide with confusion at the start. The room is included with white noise machine which is nice and provide good noice background and cover a lot of the commotion from outside. the amenities such as lounge with kitchen and laundry room provided so much of things we needed.

the room smells of weird wood varnish, kind of. it’s pretty small with the bunk bed layout, must be very careful coming down the stairs.

Very cute & functional room. Value for money room price for the area. The bed was comfortable w/ a lot of sockets/ charging area. Staff was very friendly & helpful with all our questions & inquiries. Appreciated the early check in & late check out request thaf was granted thru the app ( download the Sonder app for updates about your stay). We appreciated the free chocolates upon check in & the free coffee/tea/water located on the 2nd floor. We felt safe inside the hotel and will definitely stay here again.

None. However, there were a lot of homeless people & drug addicts outside the hotel.

Design, hot and cold drinking water, free tea, facilities are new, staff are wonderful and helpful, security available at midnight, password key to enter the gate and room, perfect location

The height of lower bed is not enough, can’t sit on the bed, room is very small.
