Hotel San Luis Obispo0

WE have visited San Luis Obipo many times and have walked by the Hotel San Luis Obispo. WE never booked it because of its high price. This time, tired of the overprced and often run-down hotels and motels in town we decided to spend more and book a room. We were very impressed with teh hotel design, teh larger, modern and comforatble room and all the amenites including apool taht was heated to be very comfortable. And the staff!- Wveryone was vey friendly and helpful. I spoke to one of the staff and complimented her and the hotel. One more thing- the next morning we planned to have Brunch at a local restaurant we know. We decied at teh last minute to have brunch at the hotel instead, to give it a try. We ordered the moked samon. Instead of being just the usual simple combination of salmon, cream cheese and bagel with maybe some tomotoes, capers, etc. this cama on a large plate with a big portion of salmon with pesto, really freash tomotoes, caper beriies, jalapenos, pickled onions, capers, Calabrian style red chili peppers, a salad and more. it was the absolutely best I've ever had, and we've been to many high-end restaurants. We thinkl the hotela nd restaurant hit a home run!

Wouldn have love the room rate to be $100 less. But when yoiu compare what other SLO hotels are charging for far inferior rooms, locations and amenties, this hotel does deliver far more thananything I've seen i

The room had balcony but was very noisy in the morning when each morning the garbage & recycling truck would pick up bar bottles and wake you up on your vacation @ and around 6 am ( not good you have two hours til the first breakfast could be delivered it’s offered @ 8- 8:30 am that is the earliest ~ which is very good when it does arrive

The shower is awkward to turn on Then they give you a choice not to have your room cleaned each day And they will provide towel s but don’t deducted from the resort rate The room shutters didn’t block the alley spotlight ( it needed a shade behind the plantation shutters

Everything, location, amenities and especially the sparking water on tap.

The roller door to the bathroom is a privacy problem. This design innately has a lack of privacy to it. This type door should at least be placed on the inside of the bathroom space.

It is a beautiful room, the people at the front desk and valet were very nice, even the other patrons were nice. I love the little extras like makeup remover (I forgot mine). I love the little pillows and rugs (charming).

The light switches were a little funky to operate, the automatic shades also confusing (could use an instruction card for Luddites like me), and the thermostat and general temperature in the room. In theory, I loved the idea that it would just know how to adjust accordingly (cool or heat) to the temp I entered, but it just felt like cold air was constantly blowing.

Great hotel in a great city. One word of advice. Don't stay on the 3rd floor. The activated on the roof reverberate LOUDLY into your room. Usually ends before 11 but is quite disturbing.

Location, location, location! You cannot beat the proximity to downtown! It was so easy to grab a drink at the rooftop bar, and then head to Farmer’s Market or downtown to eat.

For such a nice hotel, elevator was extremely slow, and there was just one on our side. Parking, either valet or street or garage parking across street. Our first night we could here room above us.

location is amazing, near everything and with good views. the room service menu is very reasonable and exceeded expectations. the small touches like the electric tea kettle and stocked Nespresso machine were a great comfort

the shower was a little not my style. the shower head wars nothing special and the no door shower area is just a personal dislike. it’s not easy to find a dislike of the experience but that is the closest to a critique I could find

Beautiful new hotel. All staff members were friendly and helpful.

Price seemed a little high for the area, but it is brand new and service was fantastic. Hot tub is very small. And blinds in the room don’t provide full darkness, if that’s an issue.

Modern, clean and spacious hotel and in an excellent location. Good bar, outdoor eating and pool facilities. Also a good roof bar with bocce (boules). Live music on Saturday night in the outside eating area - excellent. Didn't try breakfast as chose a nearby coffee place instead.

Not that much, though it was more pricey than we felt was justified.

This was our second time staying at Hotel SLO and we enjoyed our stay just as much as we did the first time! The staff is absolutely incredible. So helpful and so kind. The property is exceptionally clean; quite possibly the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in, actually, and that’s really important to me. My husband and I decided this will be our go-to when we need a little getaway (we live just a couple hours south of SLO). I can’t recommend this place enough!
