Place was comfortable and Amazing, really liked the hard tile floor and really GLAD/HAPPY there was NO CARPET!! Amazing customer service and very very satisfied that they do room service everyday and that the staff was polite, kind and respectful. Definitely will reccomend this to family and friends when they travel to SLO!!!!

The price was a little too high for a NO "complentary breakfast" and the fact that it was a 10% and not a 50% discount at a horrible place , DENNYS, if it was 50% at IHOP this would be a 5 star instead of a 4 star, so just didn't like who they chose to do business with (Dennys) instead of IHOP and the fact that it was 10% off instead of 50%🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

CLEAN! The room was very clean, large and comfortable and I appreciated the small refrigerator. Although located on a busy street, my hotel room was quiet. The hotel staff is very efficient and proactive in confirming arrival time. Definitely a good place for an overnight stay!

I really appreciated the clean room but the smell of Pine Sol was overpowering; I had to leave the window open for a couple of hours. The air conditioning unit is located quite high (it touches the ceiling) so it'd be nice to have a remote control unit to operate it.

Good location. Good deal. Perfect spot for where we wanted to be. Quick drive to the beach. Enjoyed the discount at Denny’s. Nice, clean room. One bed was very comfortable. Friendly staff.

One of the beds (we had a double queen room) was very loud/not very comfy. Originally laid on one with both of my kids, and that one was comfy. When I switched over to the other bed, it was loud- every movement I made it made noise. And it wasn’t as comfortable as the other bed. Also the heater was super loud. Luckily my kids sleep to white noise so it just sort of added to that lol but others may find it difficult to sleep through.

The Vagabond Inn is convenient to shopping and restaurants. It is also close to the freeway exit/entrance. Downtown is only a few minutes away. There was lots of parking. Communication was also excellent; I received reminders and I was also able to provide an arrival time so our rooms would be ready,

My only disappointment was with housekeeping. Although they provided us with clean towels, the trash was not removed, the beds were not made, the floors were not swept or coffee replenished. We reserved two rooms, one with three guest. Only one clean towel was provided for the three guests so we had to request more from housekeeping.

This was the perfect hotel for a family road trip stop in San Luis Obispo. I booked one room on Booking.com but when I arrived I learned that somehow I had paid for two rooms. The hotel manager put us in a room that was perfect for our family and helped us get a refund on the unused room through Booking com. The room was comfortable and clean. The kids enjoyed the pool and we were right next door to the Madonna Inn for lunch. I also loved having the grocery store right across the street.

This was a surprisingly great room, with good facilities, and it was large and sparkling clean. The location gives suburban retail park vibes, but we were only stopping for one brief night on a journey south. Check in was fast, the room had everything you need, and we were comfortable. Parking was free and there was lots of it. They offer a discount at the Denny's, two minutes walk away, too, which was handy.

We wish we had stayed long enough to try the pool!

Comfortable bed, spacious room with desk and chair. Good shower, fluffy towels. Quite quiet despite being on a main road. Parking on site. Discount available at Dennys next door, but we did not use. 15 min walk to Central Coast Brewing for good beer and food. Supermarkets close by but do have to drive if wanting to go downtown.

Constant use of disposable cups and stirrers with no recycling - however, we have found this throughout the USA.

Rooms are nice, there is a pool and hot tub, plenty of parking, well lit parking area, bed was comfortable, there was a microwave and refrigerator, nice tub/shower combo, no carpet

The lights in the parking lot kept our room to lit up through the night. We woke up several times and thought it was morning, but it was the middle of night. I know they are for safety, but some light blocking drapes would be nice.

Bed is very comfortable and clean. The rooms are a good size. You get everything you need and the fridge and microwave are nice amenities so you can save and reheat your leftovers from all the great restaurants in SLO. The location is very convenient and there are no issues staying here with a dog.

Room (particularly floor and walls) could have been cleaner. The bed and linens felt very clean though.

The minute I pulled in I felt safe. The parking lot was clean and lobby was immaculate! The young lady at check in was immediately warm and welcoming. The following day I spoke to the manager about an issue. She immediately switched my room due to very loud guest that were in the room next to me. The staff were above and beyond to any hotel I’ve ever stayed at! Cannot wait to come back!
