beautiful hotel, inside and out. we had a spacious ocean-view room with a roomy balcony. All staff were friendly, efficient, and professional. The hotel restaurant, Convivo, is superb. We enjoyed breakfasts and dinners there. The hotel is directly across the street from the beach, and about a 20 minute walk to State Street. we liked this location quite a lot.

The pool-side chaise lounges were not very comfortable.

The staff, both at the front desk and in the valet, were awesome! They were super friendly and attentive. We never really had to wait for our car for more than a minute in the valet. They were always willing to put my car on the charger as well. The location of the hotel is great and it is close to everything we needed. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and found a lovely hand-written note with Champagne, cookies and Sparkling water in our room upon arrival.

The free coffee should be in the room instead of the lobby. The remote control for the TV intermittently worked and then quit working. We requested new batteries but they never arrived. I had to make a trip down to the front desk at 11:30pm to get more batteries so I could turn off the tv. The ice machine was located on a different floor than our room.

Breakfast was excellent, great granola , yogurt and fruit Premier delux room, large bathroom. Was not keen on the pillows, seems to be more foam rather than feather felt very hard When stayiing for 4 days, perhaps more toilitries had to keep asking for body lotion Balcony had great sea view Valet parking, very efficent. The lobby is not used only for arrivals and departure, it felt a bit strange leaving by the parking valet area when you are walking or via the restaurant (which is probably annoying for the restaurant staff) Bar closed early, for a hotel that was a surprise, it was only 10.30 on a sunday evening Had a pizza in the restaurant, good toppings but very very salty. No turndown service.

Lovely property with view of beaches and ocean . Staff quite friendly and helpful. We were staying there for daughter’s wedding that took place at another Santa Barbara location. We had 4 rooms total in our party and all enjoyed their rooms and stay! We did not alert staff that many of wedding guests came over to breakfast at Convivo this morning. Staff was very hospitable and managed to accommodate all extra 20 people. We really could have notified your manager and wait staff earlier but didn’t think ahead. Great hospitality!

Beautiful boutique hotel. We stayed in the king studio. The room was spacious with a wrap around balcony that had two seating areas, with ocean views all around. Large bathroom with a separate, jetted soaking tub. There was even an ocean view from the bathroom. Front desk was very responsive via call or text. The valet would even have our car ready for us if we texted them ahead of time. Trevor, the valet, was thee best. Their restaurant Convivo had delicious food and you could smell the rich aroma of good food every time you entered the hotel. Staff was very professional, attentive, and provided exceptional customer service. I don’t want to stay anywhere else when we return to Santa Barbara.

Nothing really. Perhaps they could include a full length mirror in the room.

Leaving...why can't I hit the lottery & move in?

All aspects of the hotel stay were very excellent, comfortable and satisfying. I would suggest all guests avoid the restaurant, which was far from the level of service and value of the hotel.

The restaurant breakfast was very disappointing thus immensely expensive. Coffee was served without accompanying cream and sweetener. Cinnamon bun was a very disappointing, imitation covered with massive icing. Bland oatmeal offered no touch of creativity. A roadside diner does a better job. This restaurant was not up to the excellent standards of the hotel itself.

We've been coming to Santa Barbara for years. We love the east beach area and the Santa Barbara Inn has a great location. It's a beautiful hotel and their restaurant looks amazing. Reservations for Convivo are a must as we did not make one and were unable to wait the two hours for a table.

It is pricey but rooms seem to have gone this way since COVID. The room was fantastic and the patio amazing! My only complaint would be the hotel is not pet friendly. We travel with our boy many times a year especially to Santa Barbara. The town itself is tremendously pet friendly and if only the Santa Barbara Inn were we'd make it our sole hotel destination.

The location was great, just a few steps from the beach! The patio attached to the room overlooking the park and ocean was also a nice feature of the room. The check in and valet staff were also excellent!

The room did not have a coffee maker, which was surprising for the price per night. The pool and hot tub were right next to the restaurant patio, which made for it to be awkward to want to relax in the water while people are eating a nice meal right next to you.

Location was quiet, beach access right there. The restaurant on site was good and convenient. Staff were friendly.

No coffee maker, kettle in the room was a bit of an inconvenience at night. Front desk staff weren't very knowledgeable on general inquires on tourist activities in the area. Valet felt unnecessary given courtyard parking was easily accessible to guests. Bed and pillows were too soft for our taste.
