The rooms were really nice visually and everything and they were comfortable. The TV worked and the air worked and the bed was comfortable. Yeah.

I have a thing about the fan and the light in the bathroom always having to be on together so that was irritating for me. I think that other hotels are like that and it's just an irritating feature that I don't like on. The other thing is that the sink kind of flooded out completely for a minute and I had to get a bunch of towels and I had to kind of actually reach down and and fix the plumbing. So yeah that was a little weird. But yeah I would stay there again. Actually there was one other thing that didn't work out for me there which was the internet would not accept my VPN which meant no business while I was there. So I would not stay there again but it still was a nice facility. It's not that I wouldn't recommend it for others.

The location is good. Step out and walk just a few minutes to the Beach Hut Deli or a few more minutes downtown. An in-room microwave is a great convenience and there is free ice. The staff is smiling and friendly.

The room wasn't quite as clean as it should've been. Housekeeping seemingly never swept or swept inadequately. Some plastic wrap that had fallen was never disposed of. They also forgot to empty the trash a couple of times.

Andy made us feel very welcome during our 4 night stay. I understand that the hotel has recently been taken over and so some of the upgrades are work in progress, but we had a large, clean room with a comfy bed and good shower with toiletries included. I can only imagine Andy and his team will have this property operating to a great standard soon. We had a road side room, but the traffic and passing people did not bother us with noise once the balcony doors were closed. The hotel is on one of the main routes of Santa Cruz, so easy to walk into town or to the boardwalk. A 7/11 is close by to stock up on fresh groceries and there is a large fridge within the hotel room. Andy was very helpful regarding local points of interest and restaurants to try. We wish him all the best with this new venture.

bedside lamps would have been great and Andy advised upon our check out that these were being introduced to each room as part of the refit.

The hospitality was fabulous, we spoke with Andy who was a great source of information and always a pleasure to chat with. Though there was no continental breakfast, the coffee was good and the complimentary pastries were a nice touch! Rooms were clean and recently updated, great comfort and state of the art appliances. Even the location wasn't too far from the boardwalk and other fun things to do in the area.

No notes, the property had a little renovation work being done during our stay but even that was unobtrusive to our experience.

This is an older travel motel that is being cared for nicely. The king room was large, the bed was comfortable and overall the facility was clean. The location was convenient to exploring the Santa Cruz area and was close to great restaurants in the downtown area. We left in the morning and didn't return until after dinner so we really just used the room for sleeping.

Front desk was very nice, very bright lights outside and made me feel safe if it was dark outside, great location, a ton of the rooms are recently renovated and nice, good price for the stay

Showers were not great, barely any pressure from the shower. Noise level was not fun due to some more renovating downstairs which made relaxing difficult at times but will probably return since renovating doesn't take that long

The location was perfect for walking to the boardwalk and around town,

We were told that coffee and pastries would be available in the office starting st 07:30 which seemed a little bit on the late side, especially when one is planning for an early departure. However, we were not able to take advantage of this perk since nobody was in the office at 07:30 AM and unfortunately, we had to depart before the office opened.

Clean, renewed, complimentary pastry and coffee which was a nice surprise. Air conditioning worked well. Big room for our expectations.

White light was not comfortable. No night light. The mattress had a little rip on the bottom. Minor renovation things were off - bug net was ripped, balcony was not straight, curtains didn’t work. The sink plug could not be adjusted, so it was closed when we arrived and could not easily be opened.

From checkin to checkout, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Seaside. The staff was friendly, competent, responsive and helpful. The hotel was like new and nicely upgraded. Although the property was on a busy street, the location made it very easy to move around town and it was very quiet at night. The price was very affordable for a popular beach town. Would definitely revisit this hotel on our next trip to Santa Cruz.

The room was so nice! We got a room with a balcony. We got a hotel since we stayed late at the boardwalk. It was about a 5 min drive. The staff was awesome, very friendly and welcoming. Also may I add the cable! We have stayed at quite a few hotels and not to say their cables isn't great but this hotel had so many channels to watch and it wasn't like the basic free package.

We didn't have anything to complain about honestly.
