So far, the best hotel for the price that we've stayed at in Ventura. Pleasant and helpful staff. We didn't take advantage of the breakfast so we can't comment. The location was great for walking to Main Street -- making it easy access to bars, restaurants and great thrift stores.

We took a balcony room and were quite content. While it was great for us because we like to keep the door open for fresh air, the balcony was small and the view was marginal (looking north or east over the parking area). Still, the better side for a balcony as the rooms on the opposite side of the hotel face the freeway.

Our room was very clean & spacious and had lots of surfaces on which to lay out our suitcases. Nice to also have a long sofa.. Even better there was a full bathroom plus a full vanity/sink outside the bathroom - each of us could claim our own sink. The breakfast buffet was good and the staff serving the buffet was very friendly & welcoming. Great location for easy walks to downtown restaurants & shops. We chose a courtyard view side with balcony - very quiet with nice leafy view of city neighborhood.

There should be specific notes for drivers to locate and access the hotel address on Chestnut St. From our approach to Chestnut from Thompson Blvd the left turn is marked as the ramp for S HWY 101. The hotel is at the deadend of Chestnut just to the left of tge freeway ramp but you can't see that until you've turned the corner.

Our stay at the Amanzi Hotel was great! The location was perfect, we walked pretty much everywhere we wanted to go. The hotel was very nice and clean, the beds were so comfortable, and the free breakfast was delicious! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We would stay here again!

The freeway noise is definitely loud when you are outside by the pool and in the dining area, but I guess we adjusted to it because I didn't notice it after a little while. When the blinds were closed in the room we couldn't hear it.

location is perfect , room size is huge, breakfast is really good and hot , remodel came out really really nice and hotel smell 10x better , we’ve stayed 10 years here and won’t stay anywhere else because of those items above

City of Ventura turned two really nice hotels into homeless camp ! we’re paying $1000 for weekend and their staying in area for free. Management team (one tall guy) was rude to guest throughout the door just walking around pretty anger he made everyone uncomfortable. House Cleaning entered our room three different times while we were getting ready even walked in while my husband was in towel. I walked downstairs to put stuff in truck once I returned they were already cleaning my room , i had to grab my stuff real fast and I check out at 10/10:30 possibly earlier.

We stayed for almost a week and enjoyed the stay immensely. There was variety at breakfast and even on-the-go items, like fruit and granola bars. The staff were quick and efficient. The pool and jacuzzi were great alternatives to the beach. The facilities are updated and sleek. The room was spacious and the fridge and microwave were welcomed amenities. The location was close to nice, beachy restaurants and shopping. I will book again.

The breakfast was very popular so it was a little crowded.

Rooms were quite large and clean. The everyone on staff was pleasant and helpful. Parking was in the garage below the hotel directly accessible by the elevators.

The hotel is old and tired. A board in the lobby promises a facelift, but there was no sign of it other than the pool, which was closed for renovation. It was a large hotel to have only a single elevator for 4 levels (garage and 3 floors). There were only 2 ice machines. Breakfast was consistent, but uninspiring. Pre-made "Omelets" consisting of powdered eggs with processed cheese inside, bacon, and sausage. On some days there were other hot items. There was a selection of cereal and breads including pre-packaged muffins. We were on the city side yet it was quite loud. I can't imagine what it would be like on the side facing the freeway and train tracks that were immediately behind the property.

We like this hotel for the most part.

We did not realize until we received our final bill that our daily rate had changed from $179 the first night, to $189 for the second night to $299 for the third night. Our summary from your company did not break down the daily rates. While we of course are responsible for the total, you should have some mechanism to clearly indicate daily rate changes of this magnitude. Really put a dent into this trip, not for the amount we paid but for the negative final bill.

We love this hotel ! Everybody is always so kind and accommodating 🤗 great location, breakfast, included and happy hour (free) 5 min walk to the beach and even closer to All the great restaurants and shops. Nothing !!!!!

When there is a special event, it would be nice if the breakfast was served earlier to accommodate those taking part. The Cool Breeze bike ride was Saturday at 6:30am, and the hotel was full of cyclists. I've stayed at many other hotels that made a great effort to start early for event participants. For example, in St George, they start breakfast at 3am for the marathon runners staying at their hotel.

Excellent location , 2 blocks from pier / Beach boardwalk! 2 blocks from historic old town and main street for entertainment , food and shopping! Walk to everything 🙂👍

All good , but would like a small fitness center. But they have AM breakfast buffet and PM happy hour appetizers with a couple free brews 🙂
