Location was good, right off the freeway but quiet, we didn't hear freeway noise at night. Beds were comfortable. I felt safe. I would definitelty stay there again if I was in the area. My son lives in Ventura so he was able to make sure I was in a decent area.

The parking lot was super small. I was able to park after coming back from dinner but I got one of the last spots. Not sure where you park if it is full.

The staff was super friendly. I really have no complaints. Rooms were clean! Room was quiet. Bed comfortable. I really liked the To Go breakfast. I don't like to eat first thing in the morning and this was a great solution for us as we had to leave early to catch the ferry to Channel Islands. The hotel is close enough to everything we needed.

The view isn't great but that isn't something they can help or something I cared about.

We were greeted with very friendly and good people at the desk. The entire hotel was clean! Loved that.

If I were to be really nit picky, I would say the cord on the blow dryer was a little short. This meant that in order to blow dry my hair I had to stand between the toilet and the counter. Good thing I’m thin.

I had been in meetings since 7am, then driving from the North for 3 hours. I was supposed to meet my Grandmother at the hotel that night. Unfortunately, her flight was canceled until the next day. Scott was super nice, making sure that the room she wanted was ready and where she requested. I was so tired, and a complete basket case checking in to the hotel, but, Scott was kind and patient with all my questions. This hotel is true find in a sea of hotels in Ventura. Thanks again Scott for all of your help!

The location was easy to find and a nice walking distance (1.25 mile) to the Ventura Pier via paved walking path/trail, along the beach. The beautiful Ventura Pier has a nice Brewery (MadeWest) and the Beach House (great casual seafood) which are both popular with locals. The nearby beach area is fun and they allow dogs too. There's a cool playground for kids and benches to enjoy the view EVERYWHERE! The staff, both front desk and housekeeping, were very nice, very accommodating and one HK staff member went above and beyond by loaning us her personal bottle opener when the front desk couldn't find theirs.

The bed was a bit on the very firm side but the front end staff had HK put another pillow topper on it so that made it more bearable the second night. We really appreciated that. The complimentary breakfast is not on sight and offered at Dennys, which is known for serving Breakfast 24/7, yet the hours for taking advantage by guests was from 6-9AM. We missed out on both days, but on the flip side discovered the great breakfasts at The Beach House on the Ventura Pier AND Pete's on Main St.

I am sorry I didn't get the name of the wonderful lady that checked me in. She was very pleasant, friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and informative. She provided excellent customer service and I really appreciate it!! I will definitely comeback just because of her.

Location and how responsive staff was to our needs.

Please dont think anyone in your party can sleep on the fold out couch! We were 3 woman to the room and it was tight. Had to bunk in with a friend. The couch pull out made a taco around me, that's how soft it was and it did feel a bit grimy. Staff made every effort to accommodate and they were very professional while doing so. No frills hotel, but the location is excellent. We walked to the beach, Starbucks for am coffee. Freeway very close for day trips. After the fold out fiasco, we decided to embrace the outdoors beauty instead of concentrate on iffy stuff. We had a blast!

This is a great little hotel in a nice location that is close to the beach and downtown Ventura. Being located on the west side of the highway is perfect for the price. The hotel was very clean and the staff was nice. This hotel includes free breakfast at the Denny's just down the street between the hours of 6 to 9am, which we took advantage of each morning we stayed. The staff at Denny's was also very friendly and my family enjoyed the breakfast choices. The rooms are newly remodeled, included fridge and microwave were perfect. It's not the ritz but this hotel is a great value, good location, clean, friendly folks, and free breakfast. We would stay here again.

The car wash across the street at the Shell gas station was noisy... if we had the window open. However the windows are double pane glass and very quiet if they are closed. We liked having the window open so we just ignored the noise of the car wash. Also the beds are just a little bit too firm for us but we got more used to them after the first night.

Super easy check in and out process. Cheerful staff. Last minute reservation. Perfect for a quick night stop over. Staff was super nice and parking was convenient and free. Rooms were clean and the windows opened for fresh air at night.

Can't think of a thing. Perfect quick stop over on a road trip without previous reservations. Made on line an hour before check in.

Excellent location for going to Channel Islands national park. The room was spacious and very clean. The bed and pillows were excellent. The bathroom was newly remodeled. Reception personnel was very professional. The refrigerator and microwave were very clean. Overall very satisfied with the hotel. Would stay again.

I have no complains but if asked to comment on some improvement I would say the bath towels were a little small.
