Nice and affordable place to stay, felt homey (referring to style of furniture, exterior of building and with a kitchen included with our room!). Everything was fairly new, clean and comfortable. Loved that a kitchen was included and we were able to cook dinner and breakfast to save money on eating out. Kitchen was nice with a full fridge, oven, stove, coffee maker and toaster—also silverware and dishware were included. Only thing you needed to bring were pots and pans. Close to a grocery store (VONS), downtown Ventura and the beach. Bathrooms were remodeled and exceptionally clean. Loved that we got a Cal King, when I was expecting just a King size bed (or that's what it said when I booked a room). Friendly cleaning maids; we said hello to them on our way out. Also, it's nice that check out time is at 11 am.

Could not figure out how to turn on the TV with the remote. We didn't try any buttons on the actual TV. Did not bother to contact the staff as we were super tired anyway and went to bed early. No mirror in the bathroom, but there was one on the dresser. Only huge problem was there no lighting near the mirror, so it was dark and hard to see when putting on make up and contacts. Not a deal breaker, but would be nice to have some kind of lighting near the mirror/ dresser.

I didn't expect much, frankly, as I booked late on a weekend and the room was comparatively inexpensive. When the sign out front said "full kitchen" I didn't think every room had one - but our room's kitchen rivaled our home: full-size fridge, range, microwave, toaster and toaster oven, and more. Plus, the room was huge, the bathroom and other areas seemed all newly and nicely redone. Charger sockets by the bed, a nice couch, a comfy bed, great A/C, etc.

Nothing, really. I'm usually pretty picky but I'd stay here again without a second thought.

Room was modern and spacious. Kitchen and fridge were very nice. Bathroom area was updated and worked fine, more or less (see below)

This hotel emphasizes the large, updated rooms and quality of the essential features, but some standard hotel amenities were missing. No towel racks or closet (there's a makeshift hanger rod in the corner). No floor or table lamps for soft lighting - recessed ceiling lighting is new but can't give the ambience of lamps. No peep hole in the door, no 'do not disturb' sign, and no phone!! Also there seemed to be a plumbing issue where the water was shut off for about 3 hours one evening, but I was warned ahead of time.

I have stayed here few times already, sometimes just for one night, sometimes for a few days. It is nice and cozy hotel, conveniently located near downtown Ventura. Beds are comfortable, rooms are pretty big, and it has real kitchens. Also I like very much it's lovely decorations, all those beautiful flowers painted at the walls, sculpture near the entrance an cute tiles in the bathroom.

The key stopped working every day, so when we came from the beach every time I had to go to reception to ask to fix the key.

Nice that there was a kitchen. A bit bohemian and it’s Decour, that suits me! I like the hand-painted art on the exterior walls. The bedframe looks like it came out of a castle. Might not be for everybody but it suited me real well

Very reasonable rates, considering that this motel provides a separate room complete with a gas stove, fridge and small dining table ! It's also a very short drive to the beach and downtown Ventura.

The cigarette smell in the room was the only thing that prevented a nearly perfect stay. Especially for non-smokers, it was very obvious.

Upon pulling up I was a little skeptical because it looked older than the photos and I was concerned parking would become an issue. But closer view, it was sweetly painted, cute theme, and parking was NEVER an issue. We had two rooms booked as me and my 6 children were visiting my husband who is currently working in Ventura. The rooms were spacious, clean, felt more like an apartment. Kitchens stocked and cleaned. My children had PLENTY of space in their own room, able to prepare food for themselves. On check out day, our baby just fell asleep before 11am. My husband went to ask if it would be okay to stay until 12 to allow her to get a longer nap in. They obliged and we were extremely grateful! Well worth the cost, super cozy, would stay again the next time we can swing a trip!

Honestly I did not look at picture or reviews on this place. I was in SB and the rooms were super over priced. A motel 6 room was going triple price so I looked in Ventura and found this place. It was cheaper than any other in SB and 1 room left so booked immediately and drove 30 minutes. Checked in, open room and was amazed. My jaw dropped! A huugee tub as you walk in. King size bed. The place is beautiful! Dresser and night stands had visible wear in tear but then I thought it blended well in the room. I was amazed turning the corner to see a full kitchen, toaster oven, full size fringe and cabinets and counter space and even a little table with 2 comfy chairs to sit down and eat.There is also a full size shower in the bathroom!! So worth the 30 minute drive and money. Definitely coming back!

The only thing that bugged me was the wifi signal. The room I was in kept dropping connection.

Location was pretty good. Roomy. Surprisingly full and nice kitchen (though no silverware)

Hard to get TV remote to work properly but finally we figured it out. Office always locked-had to ring bell.

Room was a clean, spacious and comfortable. WIFI was pretty good. The shower was nice too.

Furniture seemed a little 'beat up' and out of place. Also some walls were a little marked from wear n tear.
