The rooms were newly renovated from very old and worn down to bright and beautiful blue tile in the bathroom.. it smells of fresh paint and it was very clean.. the owner that was in the office stayed after closing which is 10 pm to accommodate my late arrival.. he was very friendly and my stay was well worth the price.. oh and the parking for each room was conveniently right in front of each room. Also the toiletries were of good quality as well as the comfy fluffy bed and pillows you sink into.. I feel asleep instantly.. definitely will be staying here again in the future..

What a great hidden gem! The White Caps Motel is recently remodeled and all of the finishes are gorgeous and modern. The bed was huge and so comfortable. Huge new TV. Rain shower head with great water pressure. Clean, simple, and exactly what I needed. It's not a property you spend much time at, just a place to relax after a long day at the beach, but knowing that it was perfect for my trip.

It's next to two other motels who have larger signage that you can see from the street, whereas I couldn't see the White Caps Motel signage while trying to find the property. My room butted up to a neighboring residential property, whose residents were spending time outside listening to music and laughing loudly, but they quieted down by evening hours after I got home from dinner.

The location is excellent. A couple of cafes and restaurants and minimarts in short walking distance. Really close to the town center and the beach (both are within biking distance). The manager Kenny is Mr Hospitality! He did everything he could to make our stay better. We brought a couple of bikes and he made it easy to store them securely in one of the motel utility rooms. We had expected some construction noise but there was none while we were there.

It is very bare bones. There is a hair dryer but no fridge, coffeemaker, not even plastic cups.

The room was recently remodeled and looked great. Very functional, love the hardwood floors. Parking was great as it was right in front of your room.

Biggest feedback: Definitely need darker curtains- the bright LED parking lights shine in making it VERY bright at night even with blinds down. I cant believe other reviews don’t mention this, as its not subtle. anyone with light sensitivity at all, you will not be able to sleep unless you have a mask. I went searching for one at various pharmacies nearby and couldnt find one, ended up wrapping a scarf around my head which made sleeping pretty unpleasant lol… No access to coffee onsite, nor ice or mini frig was definitely a bummer. No hairdryer. I went to Target and bought one, returned it after my stay.

The room was newly remodeled and very clean. The location is also very good, close to the shops and the beach. I had a very pleasant stay at the White Caps. It was perfect for us since we were looking for a place to stay overnight and spend most of our time out and about. I liked the fact that we paid for a nice clean updated room to stay in without the mediocre bells and whistle amenities a lot of other places tend to have.

I didn't know we had to ask for the hairdryer at the front office. There was only one trash can in the bathroom for the whole room. The exterior, on first impression, is a "meh" at best and uninviting but we weren't there to spend time at the motel. The inside is quite nice - thank goodness.

Great price! Beautiful remodel of typical old style motel. Large TV, very clean, very friendly personnel. Beautiful bathroom remodel. A cool place to stay. I was afraid it was too good to be true when I saw the pictures, but it was just as seen. I

Definitely need a dimmer or separate way of lighting overhead. All on or all off isn't the best. Would like a small refrigerator in the room. Maybe one luggage rack. Temperature in the room was a little tricky to get right, but we were able to figure it out.

The White Caps Motel worked PERFECTLY for our time in Ventura. Our room was clean and tidy and appeared to be recently renovated. There was plenty of space in the room for our luggage and the bathroom was spacious as well. Ample parking and in a great location. The motel owner checked us in and could not have been friendlier. We will be coming back to stay next time we are in town!

A mini fridge would have been nice to store our dinner leftovers. Additionally, I am not sure our bed was an actual Queen-sized bed, it seemed to be a Double (worked out fine for us).

Don't be deceived by the simple outside of this motel. Inside the rooms are gorgeous. White Caps motel is an amazing deal. The property is recently remodeled and the room and shower were nicer than many top chains that cost 2 or more times the price. The decor is modern and attractive. The shower is fabulous. And the location is very central--just a couple of blocks away from the beach and down the street from lots of restaurants and the old town. Best deal in town!

It would be nice to have access to coffee in the morning. But there's a breakfast place across the street so it's not a big deal.
