Townhouse Motel

The lady that checked us in was so very nice. We talked for a minute and she had me laughing so hard. I booked the room literally as we were walking through the door and she was not upset that she had to wait for the fax from the booking agent. Just a very nice lady. Also she gave us the name of a very good place to eat in walking distance. The bathroom had a big tub very nice. Also a desk to set and work if the need be. Will stay there again most definitely.

The only thing I didn't like is when we got ready to check out the office wasn't open. I like to make sure everything gets back to the front desk and make sure the key gets back to. Oh and the frig didn't that cold, it was shut off when we got to the room.

The woman who checked us in was gracious and helpful. The room was very, very clean. We've been staying at Motel 6 because they don't have old fashioned bedspreads or carpeting that always feels dirty. Here, even those 2 things seemed plenty clean. Several guests had doors open, sitting outside and were friendly. OH NO - I just realized we forgot to leave a tip in the room - I'll send one!!!

The truck traffic is very noisy, which of course, isn't something they can fix! It would nice to have a sign indicating you can park next door since their lot is quite small

We were in room 115, the room and bathroom were very clean. Air conditioner worked well. Water pressure was great. The check in was easy, and staff was very friendly. We would stay here again.

The ONLY bad thing was the bed. It was insanely firm like a box spring. There were only 2 pillows on the bed, but we grabbed a couple at the local store.

I was pulling a 20' 14k deck-over trailer and next door is a gravel lot to park in 👍. I was up stairs and i was hot and tired from driving many miles with my air conditioner not working well. The shower was super strong and cold. Cable had lots of channels. The mattress could be augmented with 4 more pillows to sleep with, or find a plump partner to bring along. In the morning and having run the room air conditioner all night i had my choice of either another shower or fill the tub. I chose a long hot shower 👍, and it was hot, not tuned to max at luke warm it was hot!

I stepped on a tiny sharp, felt like a wire brush wire sticking out of my heal in the middle of the night while getting a drink of water. I plinked it out and put it in the garbage. Not a big deal, however, i thought about it for a bit...

Staff were friendly and helpful. They put me on the ground floor in a quiet location that was easy to access. There was a refrigerator with a freezer which is great when you are traveling in hot weather. I was able to completely freeze my ice blocks for my cooler.

I had to backtrack two miles to charge my electric vehicle in the morning. No breakfast but it wasn't offered at booking so I didn't expect it.

This hotel is up the mountains near Shasta (view from the street) in the tiny towne of Weed. It is right near I 5 so easy to get to. I looked up a few motels in town and was not impressed. The others had lots of bad ratings. My expectations were minimal, hoping for clean sheets and a shower that worked. It exceeded my low expectations by a mile. Clean, smoke free, good shower, tasty in room coffee, clean sheets, clean rug, comfy bed. WiFi was a little intermittent. I have booked another night for my return journey.

I don't know if they had a breakfast cuz I didn't get down there in time. I don't think so. But they are next to a small cafe and I really liked the location and the room. The owner was outstanding, and was very nice and patient as I arrived quite late.

It would be nice if there were hooks on the wall next to the shower so you don't have to either put your towel in the sink or walk the short distance across the bathroom to get it. It would also be a VERY good idea to have hand grips by the shower as well. When traveling, I sometimes experience balance issues getting in or out of the shower, especially because its not "home". A hand grip at the back outside wall would be SUPER great and simple to install. Otherwise. it was WONDERFUL.

The hotel stocked the room with adequate towels, coffee, and shower supplies. All was clean and safe. Cable TV worked well (although many channels with nothing to watch).

Check in was a little bumpy. The credit card reader failed. I needed a water closet in a hurry and the only thing available was in the assigned room. The entry key failed to open the door and well ...

I liked that I could arrive late. It’s so close to the espresso and bakery place to grab breakfast and go.

I am pretty sure there was at least one car parked in the lot closest to the building using the WiFi. It is probably time to chang the password!

I have stayed here on and off for many years when visiting son and daughter-in-law in Shasta area. Once for ten days! Perfect for a long stay. Simple, clean, comfy bed, fridge, microwave, and coffee maker just what I needed, always felt safe, and nice view from 2nd story window. Perfect location. Owner always accommodating.

No complaints.
