La Quinta by Wyndham Grand Junction Airport

Friendly and helpful receptionist who gave us a room on an upper floor away from families with children. Clean carpeting in the hallways. The breakfast was sufficient and the room pleasant and the person preparing and servicing it was a hard working woman! Our room was spacious and comfy. The shower was nice and clean, thanks! Regarding the location, we were able to walk to a fab Italian restaurant a few block away, and a great coffee shop in the same little strip mall.

The lobby area was crowded with too much furniture. The elevator was slow and noisy. Why do hotel rooms still have telephones and clocks in them? I always unplug the clock to eliminate the light and put the phone on the floor to get it off the night stand. Speaking of light, there were 5 lamps in the room with much-too-much bulb wattage in each…overkill. Finally, the French Door to the bathroom was fancy, but it didn’t close well.

The staff was EXCELLENT! They were all very friendly & accommodating. I flew to Grand Junction in order to fly my father back home to Georgia. He broke his pelvis during a hunting trip. After 4 weeks of recovery at St. Mary’s Hospital, we were scheduled to fly home the same day he was discharged from the hospital, but the flights were delayed. We stayed at the LaQuinta for 2 nights, after learning they had a wheelchair for us to use, as we had none (& couldn’t function without it). Good continental breakfast. Clean & comfortable rooms. Great staff!

I have stayed here every time I travel to Grand Junction and recommend it for anyone travel with their dogs. Easy access to pretty much the entire town. It is pet friendly with places to exercise and walk your dogs. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

The pet area was pretty dirty this time around. The cost was also higher than it has ever been before despite being off season and no major events happening.

The rooms were spacious and relatively modern, the staff was friendly and helpful and the price was good. They had a nice lobby with many tables and chairs that we could use for our basketball teams meals. The staff was very accommodating with that.

The breakfast was below the normal quality of a mediocre hotel breakfast. also, the walls and floors are extremely thin so we could hear very well what was going on other rooms around us

Check in was very fast and easy! The front desk agent was very sweet. Our room was clean and I was a big fan of being placed at the end of the hallway (thank you front desk team for that!).

The beds weren't that comfortable-- but that is just me being picky. One issue we did face was the shower drain did not drain very well. So, you were standing in about ankle-deep water while showering.

Every time I've made it down to breakfast, it was very good. Sometimes they were pretty much out of the scrambled eggs, syrup and waffle mix, but everything that they did have was very delicious.

They only had strong coffee a few times, I love it strong, and only had a cold container of half and half for the coffee (and it's also great for oatmeal and cream o wheat), two maybe three times. That was disappointing.

When we checked in, we had a room with an adjoining door to the room to the left. It was like the people were in the room with us. We could hear everything they said for several hours, even after turning on the tv. We were on the highway side so the traffic noises persisted all night long. Sadly, no shower cap available at the desk. Otherwise, it was a great stay.

The bed was super comfortable.

The breakfast options were lacking. They offered cereal, oatmeal and yogurt. No fresh fruits or sausage links or a waffle maker. Breakfast was probably most disappointing part of my experience.

The hotel smelled nice, from walking in the lobby, all the way thru the hallways. Love the lobby breakfast area and that there’s coff and ice water out all day.

We requested handicap room and this is the second LaQuinta that has a tub in their handicap rooms. My hubby had knee replace and the climbing in and out of tub is what we were trying to avoid. Makes me leary, as we are staying in another LaQuinta property on our next stop. The rooms are nice, but again second time that the mattress is too soft for our taste.

When we had an issue with the a/c in our room - staff was very accommodating and moved us to another room.

Our A/C did not function properly. We changed rooms, but the A/C did not function properly there either. The thermostat shows that the temperature goes down to 63 degrees - but we could not get our room cooled off to 70 degrees. We would set the temp and the A/C would turn off with in 5 min - the room had not cooled to the temperature it was set at. It was cooler in the hallways of the hotels than it was in either of our rooms.
