The price was very reasonable and the room was comfortable. The parking lot makes it easy to park near your room and simplify loading and unloading luggage, which I had a lot of. The front desk staff were exceptional, helpful, very friendly and a pleasure to talk to. The breakfast, snacks, and grab to go items exceeded my expectations. They have renovated most of the rooms, mine included, and are getting to the remainder of the rooms which should make the place even better.

I would like to have had a table or desk on which to place my computer as I was working at night. I was disappointed in the Internet TV selections.

Coffee was fresh and hot, it was simple yet had options of yogurt , fruit, pastries. We love the lobby seating as well outdoor seating secluded by a fence. Also noticed ppl were enjoying the fireplace . We didn't t have pets but seen other guests take thers out and another secluded area for that.

We didn't have a microwave, needed some shelf storage for shampoo, bath products in shower. We wasn't sure the bed around the shower wouldn't keep water in. The turn as you come into the motel is tight turn in, definitely pay attention of entrance .

The property was ok and in the process of fixing it up~ new paint, beds, bathroom furnishings

What I didn’t like was I asked for a handicap bathroom~ booking.com said I had a handicap bathroom~~ Minecart does not have ANY handicap facilities ~ so my issue is with booking.com and not the motel. The staff was willing to get me into another motel but my money with booking.com was non refundable, so we stayed, struggled in the bathroom, but slept good and felt secure

Good location with restaurants nearby. Nice outdoor fire pit patio. Clean room, very nice young men work there.

lack of mini fridge, microwave or coffeemaker. I spilled some ice on the floor and used the white towel to mop it up, and that dang towel ended up brown with dirt stains. Seems some hotels with dark wood/tile floors get away with not cleaning those floors much because you can’t tell by looking.

Renovations are good, and the room was very clean. We stayed for several days, so went for the larger room. It was cozy but comfortable. Housekeeping replaced towels on request, and the staff is very friendly!

Water temperature in the shower was inconsistent. The bathroom is tiny but functional and clean.

The hotel was just recently remodelled, rooms and breakfast zone have beautiful design. Staff is very nice and friendly. Breakfast was good.

No fridge and microwave in the single-bed rooms (but the reception staff kindly allowed us to use their personal fridge). I wish there would be non-sweet options for breakfast.

Recently remodeled and it's so nice, clean, and comfortable. Super cute roadside motel in Montrose, close to downtown and lots of restaurants. The staff was beyond friendly. I plan on staying there for my next trip.

The only thing I would recommend is more table and chairs outside the rooms. Not all rooms had this and some of the guests used the ones in front of our room, which was ok, but a little awkward.

The staff was exceptional, friendly and very helpful. I'll be back and I have already referred a friend who will be in the area to check it out. We loved the location we could walk to the Main Street shopping area quickly. the updated modern decor was great to look at and very comfortable.

The room was updated and cozy. The community fire pit is a good place to relax. Staff is very friendly, and they add little nice unique touches to the room here and there.

The location is good but that's also the problem. Minecart is right on Main Street and the traffic can be a bit noise occasionally.

Briarwood Inn is a perfectly fine little place. It will remind you of the motels you stayed at on vacations with your mom and dad in the 1950's and 1960's, and those motels reminded your mom and dad of Claudette Colbert and Clark Gable stringing a sheet across the room. It's not like a period piece or anything --- it has been updated to have power outlets and WiFi and air conditioning that works --- but all these amenities have been contracted for individually by the renovator, rather than arrive in a 40 foot container marked Instant Motel 6. Otherwise, quite comparable to the budget end of the respectable retail spectrum. We were able to get in at the last minute. Maybe the Red Roof Inns of the world fill up first, choices made by Auto-Navigating Autos automatically, linked to corporate credit cards.
