Super cute and quaint. Perfect for a pit stop on a road trip. I probably wouldn’t stay there more than 2 nights in a row. Amenities are very basic but loved the vibe.

It could have been cleaner. The doors open to the outside so that doesn’t help and I kept that in mind. They have signs that state they don’t have a dedicated cleaning crew and they have an envelope to tip the cleaning crew. Just seemed odd to me because I feel that is part of the cost associated with the room. Parking is not good. If you have an oversized vehicle good luck!

Room was clean, seemed to be recently renovated, rate was ok, it's a place to stay for a night, wouldn't stay longer than that because of the location.

A nice hefty helping of dog feces, and vomit in the parking lot almost right in front of the access to our room. It's not the fault of the management, and I don't believe they had time to address it during our one night stay, but it does tell you something about the people staying here. There were a lot of "partiers" that night in the parking lot, pool. As for the feces, we had to keep walking around the mess to carry stuff out to our car.

I've stayed here once and put my inlaws up here once. The motel is cute and clean and comfortable. The staff has been warm, welcoming, and helpful. It's affordable, in a great location, and has great views and amenities. Loyal Duke is where I reccommend to all the out of town friends coming through Salida.

The jacuzzi had a ton of leaves in it

Very nice rooms. Comfortable, clean and decently sized. Staff were friendly and professional. Dog friendly. Hotel grounds are well maintained, with a nice area for my service animal to potty. Hotel situated in good area with a lot of activities and restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommend.

Check out time was earlier than I am used to.

Staff, breakfast, bed comfort was exceptional. We stayed 2 nights before closing on our new permanent residence in Salida. It was a great stop with our dog. Only improvement for me would have been a rug to add a little more comfort. The floors are engineered wood and my dog slipped alot. We brought in a yoga mat for our dog. The breakfast was more than we expected and staff super friendly...Yvonne!

If I could give the Loyal Duke Lodge 20 out of 10 stars, I would! If you are traveling with a pet and need a clean space with comfortable beds and a nice hot shower, this should be your choice 100%! The staff were excellent, warm, and friendly. The breakfast was awesome and the endless coffee...amazing! We will be staying here again anytime we come through Salida!

The dogs! Very dog friendly! The staff was great! The pools & the hot tubs! It was in a great location.

The lobby was comfy but when breakfast was served seating was an issue (too cold to sit outside) and there were chairs near the check in table that were not used. It was awkward and so i’d love to see some change there during cold or inclement weather.

For a little roadside motel, it was outstanding. Breakfast had a lot of options and the coffee was great!

Booking.com says there are hot tubs in the rooms, which isn't accurate. The only things that would make it better would be a later checkout time (10am is the earliest I've ever seen), and later hot tub, fire pit and pool times.

The staff was awesome. So friendly and helpful. Their continental breakfast was outstanding. Great variety. The room was clean and comfortable. The outside hot tub was great-after days of skiing it felt great-very relaxing. We will definitely be booking here again.

For the price, location and facility there is nothing to dislike.

It’s an old motel that has Ben partially modernized/updated. Fine for a night or 2. A/c still the old one in the wall/if a more modern was was in would be nicer.
