Teller House

Teller House is a wonderful place to stay in Silverton. Centrally located and they have everything you might need in-house. Shirley and Musse are absolutely wonderful hosts who will do anything they can to accommodate requests and insure the comfort of their guests. They are engaged and personable and they really made the stay a 10/10 experience. Blanca did a great job with housekeeping. They take very very good care of their guests.

They ONLY negative was that I stayed in one of the two rooms that use a shared bathroom that's located down the hall. I knew this at booking, so it wasn't a surprise. It can be tough though coordinating use with other tenants. That said, it was never a real issue and I would absolutely stay in one of the shared-use rooms again. Definitely NOT a deal breaker.

Exceeded our expectations — perfect central location, the room was stylishly decorated, the beds were super comfortable, good water pressure in the shower, nice coffee bar options in the central area.  Cool enough at night even during a heat spell so no need for AC. Run by a lovely couple. Would absolutely stay here again. We also really loved Silverton in general, far more than I thought we would. There’s so much more to see and do, from hikes to ATVing into the high country, so many great breweries and restaurants, you can’t go wrong. 

Room was very nice and upscale from what Im used to. Comfortable bed and very clean. Location was very nice even though Silverton is a very small town. Staff was excellent and greeted me well, had a nice conversation.

Didnt have a tv and the fan provided was very small, like a desk fan. Room was a little small, not sure if it had AC but not needed in the mountains, the windows were open at night. Also had to share a bathroom with somebody else, but all of this may have been the room I picked, not a big deal.

Wonderful host, lovely small hotel, you believe you went back in time in Silverton and when arriving in the hotel, gorgeous interior, coffee options available

Nothing really negative, just to make people aware: no breakfast in hotel (some choices around the hotel available), no TV, no elevator. We didn't miss any of it as we went back in time :-) even our son who would normally ask for a TV was fine with it in this wonderful scenery

The location is perfect, right in the heart of the main street. Super clean, friendly and accommodating hosts, we especially appreciated the little touches: a fan in the room, and face mask/earplugs. The coffee bar is a treat, and there is a small fridge for guest use in the common area.

Perhaps a bit of window tinting would help the summer sun from warming up the room, and shades on the very top windows in summer.

Teller house was absolutely incredible. Beauty in every direction- the attention to detail was unbelievable, from old photographs retracing the story of the hotel to old books and beautiful draperies in the bedroom. Very clean throughout the hotel, and very very comfortable beds and pillows. The location can’t get any better as it is on the Main Street. I would recommend getting one of the three bedrooms on Main Street for the view and the light in the morning. It’s not even noisy, the town goes really quiet after 10pm! The hotel only has a dozen rooms which makes the experience more pleasant, and upon checking in you are invited to find your name handwritten on a little card by the room. Overall a perfect experience!

Honestly, nothing, and I never ever say that about hotel stays.

Historic atmosphere of the place creates a unique experience, while cleanliness and facilities were well kept and beyond expectations. Shared bathrooms are shared only with one room and kept very clean.

Not sure if it's because our room faced the main streets or maybe walls are thin, but we could hear noises of other people talking. The windows in the room can't be completely darkened if you're sensitive to light coming from the street lights.

We loved staying at the Teller House. The hotel itself is beautiful and well-maintained. Our room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The management, Mouse and Shirley, made us feel very welcome.

Loved the location of the hotel but I also loved the decor of the room we were in. The bed were super comfy, the floors didn’t squeak much and staff were friendly. Would 100% stay there again.

It was a little warm in the room even with the fans going, but I had to turn off one fan because I get stuffed up if I sleep with fans on.

The owner of the hotel is extremely nice and helpful. They've done an excellent job preserving the hotel. The shared restroom is only between 2 rooms so it's not really an issue.

The room gets really hot at night during summer since there isn't AC. However it is manageable with the fan they provide and by cracking a window.
