Saybrook Point Resort & Marina

The front desk staff was very courteous and helpful. Terry and Scott were wonderful in getting our room available to check in earlier than the check in time. Everyone was so accommodating! They even provided me with a small toothpaste when i asked where I can purchase some. The dinners at the marina were delicious! Service was terrific! The staff at the spa were wonderful. I enjoyed my massage with Jeff. He was very considerate of my areas that were sensitive to pain. Very knowledgeable. The outdoor pool was so refreshing, the temperature of the pool was surprisingly perfect! The indoor pool and facilities were awesome also. I would definitely stay at your hotel again and I will highly recommend it to friends! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

I didn't like the fact that the toiletries had a purchase price on them. I was afraid to use them and be charged $15.00 for each bottle. I wasn't sure if the price was listed in case you wanted to buy the product or if you used it it for two days you would be charged. Luckily I had my own products that I brought with me. I also think that bottled water should be given complimentary and should not have to be purchased from the refrigerator for over $5 a bottle.

Wr love the location, facilities- we can stay for the weekend and do not need to leave the property unless we want to.

the food service at the pool could be run more efficiently. it’s really great to be able to order food and drinks at the pool but the service seemed poorly organized, although the servers themselves were great. you could get those buzzer things, or use place numbers. I ordered the raw tuna at lunch and the server put it down in the sun at another table. took 15 mins to figure it out.

customer service before I even got there! the rep intervened with a Priceline discrepancy about reservations and handled it for me...extremely helpful service while at resort was also excellent... food at onsite restaurants was also excellent

told the room had a balcony, but the balcony (room 212) was literally only about 10 inches wide!! you could only stand straight up out there! no tissues in the room no extra towels

The location of the hotel on the Connecticut River and Long Island Sound was fantastic. Our double room was large with a balcony, sitting area around a fireplace and furnished with unique fittings. Big bathroom. We ate at one of the bars and the restaurant. Great drinks, food and service. The resort is located in a very historic area in the history of US and CT. Enjoyed several early morning walks and learned much from helpful signage.

I honestly can say there was nothing I didn’t like. This is a lovely well-run resort in a special area of the NE. My friend and I loved our stay.

Got there earlier around noon and was so hoping to check in earlier than 4. Understand that it is not a guarantee when check in is at 4. But gentleman at desk ? Scott stated he would text us when room was ready. Never got text and started seeing others checking in before 4. At 3:30 we approached desk and Chris was so accommodating and even upgraded us. In the end we were happy but left us a little disappointed.

-front desk staff seemed irritated/tired/put upon when we arrived -the heat in the waiting room for the spa was not working, it was cold - we were NOT told at check in that if we wanted to use the fireplace in our room that we would have to do so before a certain time. If we were told st check in that would be one thing, but we planned to use it and then were told we could not(9 pm)

The room was beautiful. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were very accommodating when our check in took longer than expected. And the location was gorgeous.

We had dinner and the buffet brunch at Salt. The food was good but very expensive. The brunch was close to $70.00/person and even though coffee was included… we had to pay extra for even one mimosa. I don’t think I will be going back to Salt anytime soon.

our room was lovely,all of our meals were delicious and nicely presented but the best thing of all was the exceptional staff throughout the resort

It would have been a good idea to have grab bars in the bath/shower for safety and the mattress on the bed in room 330 could use an upgrade.

I would describe the decor as American mansion chic. Seeing the marina, one might expect a beach theme inside. Nope, and it’s quite exquisite inside every inch.

there is an indoor and outdoor pool. The indoor pool is of typical size. The outdoor pool is smaller than I like but, it’s understandable given the location right on the Marina.

Everything about Saybrook Point Resort is great. It's clean, comfortable and just very pleasant to stay here. My family has come here twice and loved our stay both times. The staff is very friendly and the food is great. The views from the seaside rooms are amazing.
