The Niantic Inn

This facility deserves a 10,000 star review. The rooms are spacious, beautiful and clean with very comfortable beds. I can't say enough good things about the innkeeper Marianne. When I contacted her on the day of arrival and let her know that due to unforeseen circumstances, I may not be able to make the 9 PM check in, she graciously made arrangements for me as well as gave me her personal cell number if I had any problems getting in. When we entered the room, heat and lights were on for us, a cute gift bag with water and snacks were there as well as a heartfelt note. There are not many facilities that give this kind of service. The inn is close to everything you may need, 4 minute walk to Hole in the Wall Beach and Niantic Boardwalk. 5 minute drive to closest convenience store as I had to make a quick run for an emergency item. This was a winter stay, I can only imagine how amazing this town is in the summer. Please stay here, you will not regret it!

I can't think of one thing that I didn't like.

first, I would like to say, the lady in the front office was absolutely amazing! Her hospitality was top notch. She even gave a gift bag upon arrival. She also called to see when we were arriving, so that way the room would be ready immediately! The room was great! And the location couldn’t be any better, you can literally across the street and go to the beach.

I love this place, but if I had to choose anything, I would just say not having an elevator is the only downfall. But it’s not bad it’s only three floors.

The room was huge and the kitchen was well-equipped. When we eventually managed to find them, the staff were helpful and friendly

When we arrived we followed the sign to the entrance and found a building with a large sign saying it was the inn and a welcome sign. We spent at least 10 minutes walking along every floor in the building and all around the outside trying to find reception, but there was no sign of anyone and no information about where you were supposed to go when you arrived. It was very frustrating. Eventually another guest told us that there was a completely separate building where reception was located

The Inn is wonderful!!! The clean room was large and furnished perfectly with full size fridge, kitchenette, dining set, couch/futon, and plenty of storage. The beach entrance is right across the street. The Inn is also within a short stroll to good restaurants, gift shops, a devine bakery, and homemade ice cream.. We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our 25th anniversary!!! We will most definitely be back next year!

The king sized mattress was 'worse for wear'. In an otherwise nice room, the mattress needs to be replaced.

Lovely hotel to stay in for the night. Room was large and very clean.

We come to Niantic annually from New York. The Niantic Inn is a favorite for us, as it is conveniently located and reasonably priced. This stay was even better than the last - our room was updated and the staff was absolutely wonderful. Carlos and Stacy went above and beyond (it was also my birthday); their warm welcome and thoughtfulness will not be forgotten. Thank you again!

Very often smokers lingering near the entry door. I would prefer not to be exposed to the smell.

Not sure what breakfast you’re talking about we didn’t see information about breakfast or a place onsite to eat. The location was nicely situated and near shops and restaurants. The room was extremely clean and well appointed. There was also plenty of parking onsite. The free beach pass was a great bonus.

It might be helpful to let people know where to check in. I felt uncomfortable the inn was not locked and that people could just walk into the building seems like a potential security issue. There were cameras in the hallways but no one in the office to monitor them. The upholstery on the dining chairs and fold out bed were quite stained.

This was such a cute little inn located right in the center of a beautiful little ocean side town. Within walking distance to the beach, board walk, and many restaurants. The staff was exceptionally kind and accommodating. The room was very large with lots of space for a family of 4!

Definitely could use some updating but this did NOT put a damper on our stay!

Tracy was incredibly friendly at check in. She was very helpful in directing us to the best restaurants. The goodie bag was a plus!. Facility has some renovations going on. Nothing major. Everything was great. Most importantly you can't beat the location!! And they give you beach passes for the length of your stay

Not much. I'd say if you're going to renovate and paint include the bathroom ceiling

The Studio room we stayed in was lovely, with an amazing bank of windows that looked out over the trees. And the room was very spacious, very comfortable for three adults, with great kitchen amenities and really clean.

the beds which were full-size, not queen, seemed to be old and in need of replacement. Also replacing the sheets, which were queen-size and made of some polyester or poly-mix, would significantly improve the comfort. It would be an easy fix to buy new percale or cotton sheets that fit the bed properly.
