Our room had a separate sitting area with lots of natural light and shaded by palm trees. There were 2 pools that were nicely landscaped. We also liked that it was within walking distance of most everything- shopping, historic seaport, even Zachary Taylor State Park.
There was road construction going on in front of the property during our stay. Nothing Westwinds could control. Thankfully we couldn’t hear any road work noise from our room. We also learned that the pool towels would disappear quickly. So we learned st snag ours in the morning to have later in the day when we preferred to swim.

We liked how close it was to Duval street and how quiet the area was. The rooms are very small. a bed and small bathroom., dresser. Walk in the door and in 2-3’ was the bed, other side of bed 2-3’ to the bathroom. Not a large luxurious place but does the job and location is great!. Breakfast was good, plenty of variety for a several day stay. Would stay here again.
We had a room next to laundry/ice machine so every morning at 7:45 they were filling ice for breakfast area which was very loud in our room. That along with the leaf blower that also started at 8 it was hard to “sleep in” peacefully

The heated pool. beautiful grounds.
The bed in room 303 sags in the middle. Would be nice to have robes in the room to use.

The grounds were very lovely and the pools and breakfast area had a tropical feel. It was nice to NOT feel like a hotel setting with rooms being in several buildings that looked more like homes. Our guest room was ample size and the bathroom was a very nice size - you didn't feel crowded at all.
Several nights it was quite cool (which I understand is rare), but the bed only had a sheet and a 'sheetlike' comforter. It would have been nice to have a blanket available to use. Also, while the bathroom was decent size - there really wasn't enough shelf space to place our toiletries, ie. shaving cream/razor, hairbrush, toothbrush/toothpaste, etc. Maybe even some extra hooks to hang clothes for when we get out of the shower.

Beautiful property and pools. The staff were extremely kind and willing to help with anything we needed. We stayed in a premium queen suite and it was absolutely perfect.
We stayed three nights, the first night we had a different room (a normal queen room) and they told us we had to check out after the first night and check back in to be switched rooms.. it’s just and issue with booking third party vs booking directly with them. Not really their fault, the staff was very kind about it and our room was ready within and hour after we checked out of our first room. So there were really no issues.

Overall our stay was very good. The location is great. All major KW attractions are within walking distance. The breakfast is very basic, but gets you going. The staff is amazingly helpful and a pleasure for our stay. The walkways, garden and breakfast area are nicely done and very Key West. The property is gated and locked at night. Bike racks are behind the locked gate. There is no car parking on site. Street parking is doable, but not readily available. We found a private parking lot for $15 per day. The property is beautiful. WE have visited KW several time previously and this property is a great choice.
Bathroom shower fixtures are dated and need to be serviced, but worked for our stay. It would be nice if the breakfast offered more selections than just carbs, juice and hardboiled eggs. The breakfast area isn't protected from the elements, so if it rains you will get wet.

The grounds were spectacular and the location was amazing. Easy walk to Duval Street or the Marina. A couple of blocks from the Key West Performing Arts Theater. The pool area was so relaxing and you felt a sense of privacy even though you are surrounded by other properties...you never felt that way.
The room I had (101) was directly adjacent to the lobby and the front door/porch. When people sat on the bench on the porch, they're literally outside your window and you can hear them talking. There are so many cute bungalow rooms...definitely ask to not be put in room 101 and you should be much happier. It wasn't a HUGE deal, but next time I go, I will definitely make sure I don't get that same room. That was a real disappointment compared to my thinking that all their rooms were the bungalow style in the pictures.

We had a lovely stay at this charming inn! Two nights were sufficient to explore Key West. While the queen room we had was a bit tight to move around in, it was impeccably clean, and the reception staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with our inquiries. The inn is conveniently located just a 10-15 minute walk from the renowned Duval Street. Additionally, there is a bike rental shop on the left side of the inn where guests can rent bikes at a 20% discount by mentioning they are staying at WestWinds.
The only issue we encountered was the thin walls and noise from the main road. Our room's location facing the road made it a bit noisy in the early morning with cars passing and honking

We liked the location, within easy walking distance to both the parking garage and Duval St. We also liked how the place is laid-out, and our room was clean and comfortable
While we found our room to be clean and, overall, comfortable, there were some things we felt could be updated/repaired: some cracked floor tiles, bottom of door cut non-square with the floor, and an area of the floor that sloped down, as if the structure underneath needed attention

Perfect location, walking distance to all major attractions without being right in the middle of it all. We felt very safe on the premises and in the neighborhood. Plenty of street parking, quiet at night, and a lovely bakery on the corner. We were there to do marine activities so we really appreciated the proximity to the waterfront. We also loved Date & Thyme, an organic market one block away where we enjoyed delicious smoothies and food multiple times during our stay! The front desk staff were wonderful. In fact all the staff were very friendly. I was offered an upgrade to a studio and it was adorable. We had plenty of room to spread out and retreat during the midday heat. They also provided great food recommendations (not just the same tourist traps that everyone goes to). Additionally they offered to hold our bags for us at check out so we could grab some lunch and veg out by the pool with the few hours of time between check out and our flight. We really appreciated that there were two separate pools. It never felt crowded, and we were always able to find towels and lounge chairs. Although it’s a smaller area, it was filled in nicely with beautiful, tropical landscaping to provide shade and sun protection.
Nothing. This is truly a little gem for KW, and it’s very reasonably priced for what you get. Certain things, such as spotty Wi-Fi, old fashioned keys made out of metal are fairly universal for this area. A part of the draw to this island is the historic, rustic, nautical vibe. If a more polished, conventional hotel atmosphere is what you’re looking for, you may be happier at one of the many resorts on the island.
