Proximity

At breakfast by 8.40am you ran out of yoghurts and butter and muffins. Your housemaid tending to breakfast was really abrupt and said she would not replenish - ‘Run out’ she said ‘no more’ That’s not fair to a paying guest. Poor service she let your accommodation down big time. Obviously unhappy in her job.

Did not stay in main building but in the secondary building. Very nice private Pool. Really private location considering how close we where to the main drag. Great for couples not so much for kids. Noisy but that is what you get when you go to Key West and Stay on Duval st. During Spring break. Close to everything. Rent a Bicycle you will thank me. Staff was friendly really did not see them or need to.

A/C was a pain to adjust should have left instruction sheet. Took almost two days before I got it adjusted to where I was either not sweating thru the night or freezing. NOISY but again that is what was expected and did not bother us we where there to party.

Overall location was great being right on Duval St and being able to walk everywhere including Mallory Square, Sloppy Joe's and The Hemingway house. We liked the beautiful view from our room's patio of the trees and flowers overlooking the pool. Breakfast was conveniently located. Had good options that included muffins, toast, fruit, yogurt and OJ to name a few. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Our room was clean, we would stay here again.

Our first night stay was room #106 which was right on Duval St by the main office. When we checked in we were happy with the size but come night time it was very bright and loud as it was right next to a bar with loud music. Also there was glass being emptied by the bar most of the night. I asked the staff member the next morning if I could switch rooms and she said no problem and gave us a quieter room in the back.

It is a great cozy hotel in the main party street district - very charming using old houses - also the poot in the middle is great - the staff very friendly, parking available (big plus) - very big plus: real silverware and reusable hard plastic/porcelain for breakfast (that was a big plus from a European eye and differentiates it from most hotels or motels we have seen in US). Also the charm is great.

well..the rooms could need a bit of renovation (and even its is only the seals in the bathroom or some of the furniture that got wet at some point in time...and also: if you offer a bathtub with whirlpool it would be nice to be able to close the outlet ;-)

Nice, clean and comfy room. Great location in central Key West, Duval street. Parking spot directly in front of the building available. Given the prices in Key West, overall good value for money.

Wicker Guesthouse Duval Street is a setup of different places at Duval Street and different streets around it. Not all of them are in the main house at Duval Street. We booked a room in the main house, but eventually got a room in Center Street. Room options when you book could be clearer about where you get your room. Also the building we stayed in was badly soundproofed. You could hear everything from the neighbours. Lastly, breakfast was standard American. As for a continental breakfast you could expect a bit more variety.

The area was nice and close to most everything we wanted to do. The room was cozy and comfortable. We didn’t eat breakfast there any day. The pool area was really pretty.

I didn’t like the parking situation at all. It was scary trying to back out when we checked in. We never used our rental car when we were there. When we left, our car was so hard to get out of the space. I was afraid we were going to hit something. I think someone should have taken our car out of the check in area and brought it to us when we were leaving.

Everything about Wicker Guesthouse was good. The breakfast choices were above average for Key West. We have been to Key West before so we knew that we wanted something in the middle of Duval and this was the ticket as far as location goes. Pool area is actually very quiet for the Duval location.

The description of the bungalow we had however, was misleading. It is described as a one bedroom with a King bed and 2- twins. It is a one bedroom with a king in the bedroom and a twin trundle bed in the living room. This was not ideal for the group that we had. As a plus that was not even in the description though, it had a pull out couch also. In the end, three of the four beds are in the living room.

The bed was incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was perfect, and we looked forward to it every morning. The location was convenient for everything on our agenda being in walking distance. The room was a good size for a married couple, and the patio was gorgeous.

The restaurant next door to our queen bedroom was extremely loud at night. We had trouble sleeping, and the crashing noises of dishes kept us up till after midnight every night. The shower took 10 minutes to get hot water going despite following the instructions on the wall.

The location on Duval St was perfect. It was walking distance to all shops and restaurants and our car was parked for free. The bed was comfy and the continental breakfast was better than we expected.

I didn't particularly like our room. The walls were paper thin so you could hear the guests next door and the air conditioning was very loud. The room also was not equipped with a full size ironing board. It also wasn't serviced every day but there were no extra towels or toilet paper provided to cover for extra days.

Great location on Duval. Breakfast was excellent. Pool was a little too warm, but clean. Staff was super nice. Having bikes onsite to rent was nice and easy. Rooms clean and updated. These are old buildings but refreshed nicely. I like the old town feel of Key West. Arrived early from Key West Express, but they accommodated us with early check in.

Took a bit too long for fresh towels but arrived promptly when asked for. Having to check out, then wait until 6 PM for Key West Express boat was sort of a drag. However, Hotel would store our luggage for no fee.
