I am a four or five star resort girl, but we were looking for a less expensive trip in a year we were taking two. If you are hesitating over location or the quality of the rooms - don't. I loved the room, the comfort of the bed, and the location / beach. We went during spring break and it was much less crowded here. We were able to Chromecast to the TV and watched movies as a family every evening. The pool was noisy until 10, which we could hear - I have teens and we did the movie thing - it worked out. I was grateful the pool and bar closed at 10 though, for the level of noise. Winn Dixie is a close drive for milk/snacks/drinks. Based on reviews, we avoided charging to the room, or using the hotel restaurant. We found several restaurants like Slyce and Sea Dogs in the area that we liked, and chains like Coldstone, Outback, Panda Express, Panera, Bubba Gump, all within a short drive. We didn't lack for food and it was cheaper than if there had been a boardwalk. The pool bar area was inviting on the beach side and we were tempted, but for expense decided to snack and then drive out for meals.

The balconies are terrible as reported by others. Josh and Derrik at the front desk are wonderful. If you arrive early, I would look for one of them to help you. The hotel doesn't manage check-in well. They assign you a particular room and you wait on it to be vacated and cleaned, which means others that arrive after you may have a room first. I would recommend checking in often if you arrive early. I had to ask for the towels I needed every day that we stayed there. Housekeeping knew how many we wanted daily and still I had to ask daily. I asked in person each morning, but the one day I failed to do that, I got towels immediately after asking the front desk.

We loved this property! not needing to leave once we got there was a huge bonus! Restaurant open for all meals, free coffee from 4am-10am, Starbucks coffee and limited menu served all day at the bar inside, room service available and the best dining experience in the area with indoor and outdoor service on the beach front. The double Queen room was smaller then we’re used to sharing as a family of 4 but the amenities made up for that. A surf shop across the street for all your souvenir and sunscreen needs. The hotel also has a small store in the lobby with helpful items & snacks. The beds were so comfortable with lush pillows and light but efficient down comforters. A broom was provided to sweep the fine particles of sand we tried and failed at keeping out of our room. Balcony is overlooking the Gulf coast literally steps away from the water. The staff was insanely friendly at the restaurant and bar. Unlimited Pool towels provided by the hotel, luckily because we forgot ours at home! We would stay here again & again!

The only thing missing was a hot tub but that’s very minor for we never needed one with how warm the ocean is!

I loved how close it is to the Gulf. Staff was friendly and very helpful. The Maid was awesome! she was super friendly and accommodating. she sincerely cared about our comfort. Pool was great! Drink was incredible 😀. Parking was perfect and convently located to the pool. Food was very good. We stayed on the 6th floor and, as we discovered, no guests are permitted on that (the top) floor unless they are staying there - key card access required in the elevator - added security. TI’d definitely recommend this resort. we stayed there for a week.

Nothing. Everything was great!

Beautiful location, private and very comfortable. The atmosphere was welcoming, warm, and we were treated like regulars that have been coming for years even though this was our first stay. Eddie & Krystal in the tiki bar were amazingly friendly, like family, who took care to know you immediately. The rest of the staff was just as warm and wonderful. The pool was clean and always had a free lounger, Mangos had a variety that worked for every meal we ate there and the wait staff was superb. While this is perfect for an older crowd, the kids were not overwhelming and obviously worked out their energy on the beach, in the pool, and looked like they really enjoyed themselves. We will be going back!

Honestly, if I had to dig deep about something I didn’t like, the only far-reaching thing I can think of is that I was disappointed they didn’t have a hot tub. But the excellent water pressure in the shower and the beautiful beach made up for that.

The staff was exceptional from arrival to departure! I’m nursing mother and they made sure to keep my milk stored for me so it would meet TSA standards to fly back home. This relieved the stress of staying in a hotel.

The elevator, only one was working and it took forever. Also the stair wells were locked from parking garage so we could only use them to come down. Also mini fridge didn’t cool well.

Location was perfect. Just what I expected for an oceanfront room. Loved the on-site food options. Loved the premium bedding. Warm cookies were great! Loved the hotel towels being available on the beach. Desk staff were first rate. Very personable. Tile floor is great in an oceanfront room. Sliding door lock was a great design.

Housekeeping. Under sink area was not cleaned on a regular basis. Some hair there. Did not find the slip to request more towels until last day. Not sure if it was mentioned at check in.

Beach and breakfast were amazing. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The pool area was lacking, very small. They should have someone serve drinks. BUT THE WORST PART WAS THERE WAS ALWAYS A TERRIBLE SMELL OF GARBAGE AT THE POOL. They should allow parking for free. And the cost of the beach chairs was $37 per day, that's a little higher than most places.

We loved how relaxing this resort was! The food was amazing. We liked that we could have a more expensive/fancy dinner on the top deck and still order the lunch menu on the bottom deck. We loved that the beach didn’t close at night so we could sit down at the beach when we we wanted.

It would be nice if the guests staying at the double tree could have the beach chairs free, not have to rent them.

Check in went very well. Lori checked us in. She is a true professional and made us feel right at home. She explained all of the charges and made sure I understood. Could not have asked for more. Lori is perfect for meeting customers. Joel was very helpful in explaining how the beach cabanas process for choosing. He too is a pro.
