Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Lavonia, an IHG Hotel

it was a good stay. there were many restaurants in the area and a gas station we walked to right up the road you don’t have to pass the main road. you have a good little pool and area and a great little workout areas with lots of access. it’s a great little hotel very close to the lake which was great we got to go kayaking. The staff was super sweet and nice. The breaks feast was great a lot of good options.

there were hairs in the sink and pillows were a little uncomfortable. in the pool room it was super hot and they didn’t have big towels. gym was a little small. kind of a far drive to the lake about 10-20 minutes depending on where your going. the snack area was expensive. the coffee they had was gross.

The staff was great - friendly and accomodating as much as they could be.

Our toilet didn't fill automatically so we had to mess with that every time we used it. The faucet actually fell off the bathtub. My husband went to the desk and they gave him some tools since it was too late for a maintenance person to be there to fix it. (My husband asked them for the tools - they were accommodating and did what they could.) One of the light bulbs at the bedside was gong out and it was like a strobe light so again down to the front desk. The staff member went to another room to find a lightbulb for us which we appreciated. Whoever cleaned the room had to have known about these issues and obviously didn't report them to maintenance to be taken care of before the room was occupied.

Clean, well maintained and comfortable. Nice breakfast.

Walls were very thin and we had noisy neighbors. We had the front desk talk to our neighbors the 3rd night so it was better but there was still a lot of noise from people in the hall and outside. Early morning leaf blowers in the parking lot and they blew leaves and dirt all over our car.

The property was very clean.

Breakfast was a little bland. Our room didn’t get cleaned. I had to go to the front desk to get new towels. Ice machine on 2nd floor didn’t work. The AC in our room wouldn’t stay on so we had to get our fan for softball out of the car and use it.

Clean room, soft bed, waterfall shower, this is a quieter well-built hotel where doors don't slam and keep you awake.

Still serving breakfast to guests from behind a shield instead of guests serving themselves... really? The Hampton Inn right across the road made the right choice and breakfast was busy and the crowd was social distancing to a reasonable degree. That was much more enjoyable (the day before). For some weird reason, housekeeping didn't rinse the soap dish, in spite of obvious facial hair trimming in it.

When I expressed to the front desk that I had needed an early check-in, they told me to just call ahead and personally ask for early check-in the day of arrival and to remember it next time. Yes, Mother. The room was clean and comfortable. When I called the next morning (a Sunday) to ask about breakfast hours, the front desk told me that they closed at 9am, it was 9:15 and I asked why they closed breakfast so early on a weekend day, the front desk clerk replied "girl, you in the country. If you're eating after 9, then people think you need a job!" I never laughed so hard in my life. She told us to come down and she would let us get some breakfast goods. We did and breakfast was very good. No complaints.

Well, I was coming for a wedding that required an early check-in. I inquired and they quickly responded with a "Request rejected" email. Then just in case I didn't see that email, they followed up with a truly special "Request denied" email. 'Welcome to Holiday Inn Lavonia! Where you can ask or request anything, but don't go crazy. '

I liked the breakfast, the indoor swimming pool and overall appearance of the facilities. The bed was also very comfortable.

The room they gave me was next to the elevator which had a vibration in the walls all night long. It didn't keep me from sleeping, but for some it would have been annoying.

The girl at check in was absolutely amazing and the breakfast staff. Amazing people. The guy at night was rude,lazy, hateful. There were 3 other people other than me complaining about him when I checked out. He was just plain rude and so lazy. We asked him what was to do in the area,he told " I don't know google it" and slammed a bottle and rag on the counter and acted weird because we touched the counter. So rude and lazy

The night shift counter clerk and our room had someone's old french fries and cigarette paper on the floor under the edge of the bed and the deuvey had a blood stain on it. Looked fresh and unwashed

The room was very nice. The lady that managed the breakfast was very nice. The man that checked us in was super nice.

The price was a little expensive.

Nice property that has been recently renovated. Very clean facility and friendly staff. Comfy beds and decent breakfast. Plenty of restaurants near by as well.

Elevator was pretty slow, we found the stairs to be quicker
