I liked the way the hotel was set up. The rooms are small, but cute. The sitting/lobby area is very nice and I like the color scheme they used.

didn't care for the breakfast. I like a hot breakfast and all they had hot was eggs, sausage or bacon, and not much of it, and breads for toasting. They had yogurt, cereal, juice and I don't care for that. My friend and I both purchased the same type of room, same number of people and same dates. We arrived about 20 minutes from each other. But she booked on Priceline and I booked on Booking.com. She paid MUCH LESS than I did. So I wouldn't recommend booking on this site until you know what all the sites offer.

The location and the breakfast were both great.

I had a few questions to ask the attendee and they were not able to give me a direct answers. Such as why was my card already charged prior to arrival when it was supposed to be pay upon arrival. Also I asked about a military rate, which is advertised on the official website and he denied this request. As well as the hotel not stating prior to arrival that I would be charged an additional charge of $75. It would be nice for customers to know this ahead of time.

Staff was very nice, facility was clean, rooms were quiet and the location was great and in a safe area.

Didn’t like the surprise $75 per room deposit. Even though I was told it was refundable. Also didn’t like that I was asked for my card and ID…and then had to pay for each room separately. Staff member explained, but the deposit especially was unexpected on my end since I don’t recall seeing it anywhere when I booked.

I liked the cleanliness, spacious well lit lobby with nice decor and comfortable seating atrangements, quality breakfast, the cutting edge pancake maker which made good pancakes, complimentary coffee, tea and filtered water 24/7, the gym, mini market etc. The Sugarloaf Mall, a five minute walk from the hotel was also a plus.

The staff at the front desk ( not everyone) were less than attentive and professional. Some were too busy chatting on the phone than to attend to the guests. They would not smile or greet.

Breakfast was quite good, with many options to choose. I thought rooms were a bit on the small side, but excellent use of the space was made. Decor is thoroughly modern and eye-appealing. The location is excellent for shopping and entertainment. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

Having the outdoor smoking area right by the entrance doors isn't optimal. Water pressure in whoer was on the low side, though a different shower head might fix this issue. Entrance to the front parking lot from the main street is iffy due to the necessity of making a very sharp turn because of the placement of a waste dumpster.

The staff was nice and attentive. The property was nice. I loved the mural in the lobby and the work 'cubbies'. My kids loved the hanging seats in the lobby as well. I was excited to see my two favorite drinks, coffee and lemon ginger tea, offered as complimentary beverages. Our room was clean and the air conditioner worked beautifully! The board that had local attractions/restaurants was helpful as well.

The computer system was down when I checked in which made me feel a little apprehensive. The mattress was uncomfortable. My spouse did not find anything he liked for breakfast so we skipped eating at the property.

I loved the staff. Everyone was so respectful, from the staff cleaning rooms and common areas to the front desk staff. I could tell they cared I had a good experience. Everyone was very kind and accommodating. Before my stay, I read a review that the walls of the rooms are thin/sound carries really far. So I requested a room on the top floor. Thankfully, it wasn't too busy of a weekend and the front desk was able to pull some strings, to assign me a room in the very top corner of the building. I still heard a little noise at night, but the fact that the staff did their best to help me and accommodate me, meant a lot!

I read a review before my stay about thin walls/sound carries really far. They were right, I could hear conversations of people on the other side of my wall. It was muffled conversation, but still louder than what I anticipated.

I don't typically do reviews on hotels, but this one exceed my expectations. For the price and location I expected it to be decent, because let's be honest, to get a "great" hotel you nearly have to pay an arm and a leg. However, when we got to Tru, the guy who checked us in was extremely nice and helpful, check in was also quick and easy, the room greatly exceeded our expectations of cleanliness and beds/pillows had the comfort of home. I myself am a bit of a Germ-a-phob and check beds for bed bugs, hair and stains, and also check towels for hair/stains and I didn't find not one thing in this hotel, which is amazing in itself. There wasn't even hair in the shower, which again let's me honest, it very common. It was very modern and up to date and the breakfast spread, even with COVID, had a great variety and was also very clean. Great location as it is right behind the Mall of Georgia and only 30-45 minutes from Atlanta (with traffic). Next time we are in the area, we will be staying here.

The cleanliness was exceptional. The breakfast options were great. I loved that the bathroom amenities were in eco-friendly, refillable tubes instead of tiny, individual bottles.

Not having a microwave in the room for late night munchies was mildly disappointing, but not a major issue for us.

Pros: Location was nice. Right near a mall and places to eat. Room was clean. Comfortable beds. Modern decor. Lobby was spacious for groups to sit and relax. Friendly staff. Loved the number of outlets and usb ports. Fridge worked and was cold. Soap, shampoo and conditioner provided in bathroom. Pool table in lobby.

Cons: no actual closet but had plenty of shelves, hooks, underbed space and a pole with hangers. No microwave in room but could use the one in the lobby. Breakfast was a box with bagel, hard boiled eggs, yogurt and cream cheese. But they also had muffins, oatmeal, cereal, milk and juices. I also noticed some cob webs on the ceiling but none at eye level :) Room is a little smaller than usual but nice enough for a short stay.
