The property was immaculate. The bell man was super friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub was the kids favorite. The 1 bedroom apartment was very clean and had everything available for use. Would definitely come back to this property.

The staff at the reception desk is very rude. Not sure if its their personality but definitely didn't feel the welcome checking in when we got to Maui.

This property has everything you need to enjoy your time in Kaanapali. The staff is great and always ready to help or point you in the right direction. There are plenty of loungers by the pool as well as in the grassy areas. If you want sand in your toes, no problem, there are self access beach chairs as well as paid beach lounger and umbrella setups. The access to the village is amazing and makes access to snacks and shopping very easy. The views are incredible from all rooms, and the amount of space in the 1 bedroom 2 bath units is perfect.

The only thing we didn’t like was having to checkout and go home.

Room was very spacious and comfortable. The ocean views from the room were fantastic. The kitchen was well-equipped. The hotel is well-located just outside an outdoor mall (Whaler's village) and nice restaurants, and along the Kaanapali boardwalk. Staff was very helpful - especially Chery the concierge who really helped us revise our plans for our Hana trip in face of a tropical storm.

Terrace was noisy due to air-conditioning of the nearby Whaler's village. Snorkeling rental was very expensive - we bought instead at the nearby ABC for a cheaper price.

We were extremely satisfied with Aston at the Whaler. The room was clean, good size, beautiful kitchen with everything we needed and more. The view from the balcony was amazing. The bed was very comfortable and a good size. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Restaurants and shops were right outside the front door. Very comfortable, swimmable beach is located right outside the front door. Lovely ocean walk path outside the front door as well. If you're looking for a laid back place that is clean and comfortable with a great, responsive staff, you will definitely be happy with the Aston at the Whaler.

Area is a little crowded at times because it is right in the middle of restaurants, shops, and other resort hotels (which is definitely a plus as well). However, it quiets down pretty early, so there's lots of peace and tranquillity to be had.

An extremely well located resort in beautiful Maui! Our room was located on ground floor with an outdoor terrace facing garden views yet almost near Ka'anapali beach. Totally equipped and clean room, feels like a mini vacation home. Definetly recomended!

Location and the happening whalers village right next door

Location is excellent, right on Kaanapali Beach. Enjoyed the walking paths along ocean. We stayed in an 8th floor one bedroom unit that had a huge lanai with a fantastic view of the ocean, black rock, and mountains. Having a full kitchen was super convenient to do light meals was an added plus. The staff (both beachside and concierge) were friendly and helpful booking golf and a sunset cruise for us.

Getting dinner reservations was a bit difficult. We had a much easier time eating our for lunch. Also, having a full kitchen made it much easier to order, pick up and eat in our room.

Great location, plenty to do near by while still be informed a private stay!

it would be nice to be able to enjoy a cigar on the property, but I understand the rule.

This hotel is in a very good location on Kaanapali Beach and has a nice beach and next to the Whaler Village shopping and dining complex which is very convenient. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We used the beach chairs provided which was very convenient. Our particular unit was a studio very nicely decorated with a full kitchen, nice storage closets and a nice bathroom area. The view from the balcony was a outstanding. The ground were well maintained and the rooms were very clean. The hotel was pretty pricey but not as expensive as other hotels in the area and would be considered a good value for this area. We had a late flight and were able to check out and lay on the beach and shower and change in their spa area which was a nice use of our extra time on Maui.

Nothing really. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but we knew that going in and would probably not have used anyway. Pricey hotel but probably one of the least expensive for that area.
