Hampton Inn & Suites Chicago-Burr Ridge

The hotel is CLEAN. I researched hotels in this area and wow, it's sad to hear reviews where hotel cleanliness has apparently gone down the tubes. This hotel, however, is very clean, modern and comfortable. At the time of our stay, it was also quiet which we appreciate. The room was spacious, had good light (great window shades) and gotta love a clean, modern bathroom. Pet-friendly too! Plenty of space for our beagle to take walks near grass (there is a park nearby, too).

Breakfast was available but not the best given that it is buffet style. The morning we had breakfast were omelettes that seemed to be pre-packaged but heated up. Also, not a lot of options for people with food restrictions (e.g. dairy, gluten). The long line to check in. Maybe just bad timing on our part and situational. A self-check-in option would have been nice, if possible.

Breakfast was fresh, hot and plenty of choice. The room was outstanding, bathroom had a wonderful walk in shower and the bed was so comfortable. Staff where very friendly and answered all my questions.

I have nothing to say that I did not like the service was outstanding and the facility was great, clean and fresh. Maybe more towels we was not aware we could not ask for more towels.

The whole facility was neat and clean. Staff members were eager to help and provide for our needs.

While we read a note in our room that there would be no housekeeping, we understood that to mean that no fresh towels and bathroom supplies would be provided for the second night. We were surprised that no one came to straighten up the room, make the bed, add in replacement coffee packs, and empty the trash, which was overflowing. The hotel was not full, so we could not explain it away by housekeeping being overwhelmed.

The young lady at the front desk gave exceptional service throughout out stay. She was pleasant and answered all of our questions. The room was lovely. It overlooked a pond and we could see the Chicago skyline. The beds were comfortable.

The room was huge and with two queen beds could have slept 4. However, it had only one uncomfortable desk chair which meant we spent our time in the room sitting on the bed. Additionally, we had requested a handicap accessible room with a walk-in shower. There was none available at check in, only one with only a tub. In spite of having multiple grab bars, my husband was unable to take a shower. He could not climb over the edge of the tub and cannot stand without support to take a shower.

I took two cats with me for an extra charge of 75 Usd Plus a mandatory deposit of 50 USD per night which wasn't mentioned in booking.com. Plus a strange charge for 150 USD which was withdrawn on my 2nd night stay and I objected to, which later turned out to be some bizarre mistake and was refunded and later things finally got sorted out upon check out.

Everything was different and I loved it.

And I don’t know why, but it said that if I was missing a toothbrush and some other stuff in the bathroom, I didn’t see any toothbrush or call me or anything like that, so that was kind of one of the things that I was questioning. I should’ve asked the front desk but I didn’t think much about it.

The beds were comfy. That's my number #1 complaint at most hotels. But I was pleasantly surprised here. The room smelled clean. Everything we needed was provided. And the breakfast was so diverse in options. I was full when we left. Thank you!

There was no warning about an incidental charge on booking.com. I wish I would have been more prepared to see that charge.

The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the shower had great water pressure. Loved the bottled shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Breakfast was Excellent!

My children were upset the pool was closed. Would have liked to relax after a long day. And we really didn't like the barn door on the bathroom. No privacy

I wish if they run out of food at 9:30, they can refill. waffles ran out at 9:30 and I was told sorry, no more. Also ran out of eggs and told the same. bummed about that since breakfast is advertised until 10am.

Updated facility. Clean easy access to freeway and less than 30 minute drive to everywhere we needed to be. The morning manager made right an issue from the night before without being asked.

The air was on in the common hallway on the 3rd floor making it very uncomfortable and impossible to use pool. When mentioned to front desk one of them said " we always keep our air on"
