Rodeway Inn Lyons - La Grange

The staff was all super nice and super helpful! The hotel room was pretty clean with only minor issues that were too big of a deal. Location was nice as well. Would definitely stay again.

The bathroom wall had pealing paint behind towel rack, microwave paint was chipped, and there was a little mold in the shower. The only other issue was that they only gave us two towels, two wash cloths, and one hand towel - which for two people there three days was kinda sucky because there were no towels at the pool so we had to use our only towels for pool or shower.

The staff was great.! Friendly, helpful and smilled. The rooms were very clean. I've been to bigger and more expensive hotels and they would smell. Either smoke or musty. My room didn't have any smell but air freshener. The breakfast room was clean and had good size. I thought it was better then I expected and will make this my go to Hotel when I'm in Chicago visiting my family.

It was cold walking back from pool to room..good thing room was close. 2nd night we knew so it was better. My room didn't have a tub but had new shower and it was pretty big.

We came in for a music festival and stayed 4 nights and most hotels in the area were $200 plus a night and on top of that wanted $30 a day for parking. This place was $400 out the door for four nights and includes an ok breakfast with toast, cereal, fruit, juice, coffee and fresh waffles. The room had your typical amenities like beds, microwave, fridge, toilet, shower, sink,, lighting, coffee maker, table and chairs. The management was fast and super friendly, having our keys and everything set up prior to our arrival. The area typical city area that’s on the edge of a residential neighborhood. The food options surrounding the motel aren’t your typical tourist fair and you can find some great local eats very close at amazing prices. The motel is also just around the corner from the Brookfield Zoo which is one of America’s great zoos.

It’s a bit run down but again it’s an amazing value and if they spruced it up too much they’d charge twice as much. The area could seem a bit intimidating to some travelers but in these financially challenging times you gotta do something’s outside the box or stay at home.

The King Suite (room 45) was amazing! We didn't use the pool so I can't speak on that. The breakfast area was clean and the food was good. I enjoyed being able to make my own waffles. The jacuzzi tub in our room is a new tub and it was so wonderful. I think the plug for it needs fixed but other than that it was perfect. The space was very open and then bed was spotless and clean. No random hairs or dirt on the sheets (like I've seen in other hotels). Our room also smelled clean and not like cigarettes so that was refreshing. The hotel was out of the city by 15-20 minutes which made it nice and quiet. The two staff members we dealt with at night and in the morning were very friendly. The one who checked us in was very accommodating and super sweet! Overall I would stay here again for the same price and room.

On the outside the hotel looks dingy and sketchy but the room was the complete opposite. The breakfast room was also very neat, clean and organized. I wish there was an elevator because we were on the second floor but it could've been worse.

The beds were super comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. They offered a nice amount of things for breakfast minus eggs or meat which is fine! They are only 5 minutes from Brookfield Zoo.

The beds only had 2 pillows on them and they were small pillows:( For a double queen room they had only 2 towels, hand towels and washcloths. We had asked for more items and they were given to us. The parking lot is small but we found a spot each time and the air conditioner for our room sounded like a loud engine running non stop.

It was clean and comfortable and close to gas station bk etc.

There was a pool but it was down for some reason so we couldn't enjoy it. Also was hoping for some sausage and eggs and there were none. I think if its gonna have the extra amenities if we are unable to use them it should be discounted it was a lot of $ for no pool or sausage and eggs I think. Also didn't like their were no closets to hang up coats clothes etc.

Huge, private room with lots of amenities. Great location. Great view of the city with large, floor to ceiling windows. Fireplace in room, and the room was nicely furnished. Cozy feel throughout. Walk ability to shopping & fast food was excellent, and the motel is well lit at night. Friendly staff. Pool, Internet and breakfast were available to me.

Housekeeping is a joke and not many towels are given up front. You can request full service, but you likely won’t get it. Front desk not available 24/7. No bath mats, even in a jacuzzi suite. Garbage cans start overflowing since they are so small. Some maintenance issues including: my room’s bathroom door wouldn’t latch properly, and the light switch was outside the door, loose toilet seat, chipped and peeling paint in the room, plaster issues, curtains were hanging by a thread, 2 bathtubs sharing 1 stopper, sink stopper hard to use, mystery bleach stains, front door needed a firm push to be closed. Clock radio didn’t work. Weeds growing out front, dog poop on the upper deck, and there is slight road noise in the room. Stale air and windows could not be opened.

The staff was fantastic. They helped with extra pillows and answered all my questions. My microwave wasn't working at first and then we discovered it didn't have a power strip where it could be plugged in. The front desk assisted me and we ended up just putting it on the table - which worked just fine. I specifically picked this location because I am a smoker and wanted a room where I could easily step outside and smoke. Also, the hotel isn't far from the train station, which is how we traveled to downtown Chicago. There's also a great breakfast location right down the street. This hotel was perfect for my needs & wants.

The parking isn't great, but it does work. I wasn't thrilled having to park far away from my room. Otherwise, I had a perfect stay.

It’s close to the zoo, the staff was great, the rooms were cozy, and they had the NickJr Channel on TV. The nearby restaurant “Dunav” had amazing Serbian food. I had to use Google Translate to speak with the staff, but that was part of the fun.

The fridge didn’t have a spot for me to freeze my ice packs for my cooler. Not a big deal.

The property is a little dated but the room was clean and that’s the most important thing to me. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet and I loved that it had a fridge and a table in your room.

The only downside is that the shower stall needs a soap dish but that’s it.
